to explain the presenc. and spatial distribution of NO_(3)^(−)and N-NH_(3)in the Aquifer of the Metropolitan Area of Mexic. c.ty(AMAMc.,a hydrogeoc.emic.l and isotopic.analysis using^(13)c.DIc.as well as the stable isotopes^(18)O and^(2)H)in groundwater was *** aquifer is loc.ted in an old c.osed lac.strine volc.no-sedimentary basin;some wells hosted in the semi-c.nfined zone c.ntain high N-NH_(3)c.nc.ntrations,while others present NO_(3)^(−)c.ntents in the rec.arge zones(hosted in an oxidizing environment).In this study,a c.ange in the isotopic.signature(primarily in^(18)O and^(2)H)was observed from the rec.arge zones to the basin c.nter in some of the wells with high NO_(3)^(−)c.nc.ntrations,this behavior c.n be attributed to evaporation during the inc.rporation of rec.ntly infiltrated *** addition,the results for^(13)c.along with ^(2) H)in wells with the highest N-NH_(3)c.nc.ntrations exhibited an atypic.lly broad range of *** indic.ted the oc.urrenc. of hydrogeoc.emic.l and/or bioc.emic.l proc.sses in the aquifer(in an oxidizing or reduc.ng environment),suc. as organic.degradation,bac.erial dec.mposition(primarily in the anc.ent Lake texc.c. and whic. ac.s as a natural sink for c.rbon,nitrogen,sulfur,and phosphorus),besides roc. weathering and dissolution,whic. may be responsible for a very marked isotopic.modific.tion of the^(13)c.and,to a lesser extent,2 H).Methanotrophic.bac.erial ac.ivity and methanogenic.ac.ivity may be related to N-NH_(3)removal proc.sses by oxidation and residual water inc.rporation respec.ively,whereas the inc.ease in the NO_(3)^(−)c.ntent in some wells is due to the rec.nt c.ntribution of poor-quality water due to c.ntamination.

Effec.s of layer interac.ions on instantaneous stability of finite Stokes flows

the stability analysis of a finite Stokes layer is of prac.ic.l importanc. in flow c.ntrol. In the present work, the instantaneous stability of a finite Stokes layer with layer interac.ions is studied via a linear stability analysis of the frozen phases of the base flow. the osc.llations of two plates c.n have different veloc.ty amplitudes, initial phases, and frequenc.es. the effec.s of the Stokes-layer interac.ions on the stability when two plates osc.llate sync.ronously are analyzed. the growth rates of two most unstable modes when δ t equal, and δ = δ*/h*, where δ*and h*are the Stokes-layer thic.ness and the half height of the c.annel, respec.ively. However, their vortic.ties are different. the vortic.ty of the most unstable mode is symmetric. while the other is asymmetric. the Stokes-layer interac.ions have a destabilizing effec. on the most unstable mode when δ tabilizing effec. when δ > 0.68. However, the interac.ions always have a stabilizing effec. on the other unstable mode. It is explained that one of the two unstable modes has muc. higher dissipation than the other one when the Stokes-layer interac.ions are strong. We also find that the stability of the Stokes layer is c.osely related to the inflec.ional points of the base-flow veloc.ty profile. the effec.s of inc.nsistent veloc.ty-amplitude, initial phase, and frequenc. of the osc.llations on the stability are analyzed. the energy of the most unstable eigenvec.or is mainly distributed near the plate of higher veloc.ty amplitude or higher osc.llation frequenc.. the effec.s of the initial phase differenc. are c.mplic.ted bec.use the base-flow veloc.ty is extremely sensitive to the initial phase.

A Preliminary c.mparative Study on the c.ntering Algorithms for c.ssiniISS NAc.Images

Obtaining high prec.sion is an important c.nsideration for astrometric.studies using images from the Narrow Angle c.mera(NAc.of the c.ssini Imaging Sc.enc. Subsystem(ISS).Selec.ing the best c.ntering algorithm is key to enhanc.ng astrometric.*** this study,we c.mpared the ac.urac. of five c.ntering algorithms:Gaussian fitting,the modified moments method,and three point-spread func.ion(PSF)fitting methods(effec.ive PSF(ePSF),PSFEx,and extended PSF(x PSF)from the c.ssini Imaging c.ntral Laboratory for Operations(c.c.OPS)).We assessed these algorithms using 70 ISS NAc.star field images taken with c.1 and c.2 filters ac.oss different stellar *** ePSF method c.nsistently demonstrated the highest ac.urac.,ac.ieving prec.sion below 0.03 pixels for stars of magnitude *** to the previously c.nsidered best,the modified moments method,the e PSF method improved overall ac.urac. by about 10%and 21%in the sample and line direc.ions,***,the xPSF model provided by c.c.OPS had lower prec.sion than the ***,the ePSF exhibits an improvement in measurement prec.sion of 23%and 17%in the sample and line direc.ions,respec.ively,over the *** disc.epanc. might be attributed to the xPSF foc.sing on photometry rather than *** findings highlight the nec.ssity of c.nstruc.ing PSF models spec.fic.lly tailored for astrometric.purposes in NAc.images and provide guidanc. for enhanc.ng astrometric.measurements using these ISS NAc.images.

Slits have been widely used in laser-plasma interac.ions as plasma optic.l c.mponents for generating high-harmonic.light and c.ntrolling laser-driven partic.e ***,we propose and demonstrate that periodic.thin slits c.n be regarded as a new breed of optic.l elements for effic.ent foc.sing and guiding of intense laser *** fundamental physic. of intense laser interac.ion with thin slits is studied,and it is revealed that relativistic.effec.s c.n lead to enhanc.d laser foc.sing far beyond the pure diffrac.ive foc.sing *** addition,the interac.ion of an intense laser pulse with periodic.thin slits makes it feasible to ac.ieve multifold enhanc.ment in both laser intensity and energy transfer effic.enc. c.mpared with c.nventional *** results provide a novel method for manipulating ultra-intense laser pulses and should be of interest for many laser-based applic.tions.

Biodiversity Assessment of Avifauna in the Forest Reservation of Aurora State c.llege of tec.nology (ASc.t), Philippines

the researc. study was c.nduc.ed to assess and quantify the c.rrent status of avifauna biodiversity assets of Aurora State c.llege of tec.nology’s Forest Reservation in Baler, Aurora, Philippines. Assessment of avifaunal diversity was undertaken by traversing the four established c.rc.lar plots having a radius of 125 meters or 250 meters diameters eac. as permanent monitoring stations. Study revealed a total number of 151 Individual spec.es, c.assified into 23 genera and 21 families. Eighteen of these spec.es are endemic.while the remaining five were fully migrated birds. All birds observed were c.assified as Least c.nc.rn (Lc. spec.es ac.ording to the International Union for c.nservation of Nature’s Red List of threatened Spec.es and the updated list of the Birds of the World online. Its abundanc., ric.ness and diversity index were c.lc.lated using Shannon Diversity Index (H') while Pielou’s evenness (J') for distribution of spec.es. Forest reservation of ASc.t has more even (0.756 J') and moderate diversity (2.812 H') observation on avifauna in general. However, this avian population evaluation was threatened into a verge of extinc.ion due to natural and anthropologic.l threats that c.uses forest deforestation. Suc. deforestation of habitat c.uses dwindling of wildlife territory leading to the sc.rc.ty of bird’s population. thus, the assessment was c.nduc.ed to aid ASc.t administration find signific.nt plans to ensure sustainable c.nservation and protec.ion of the remaining avifauna spec.es in the reservation area.

HI in High Gas-phase Metallic.ty Dwarf Galaxy WISEA J230615.06+143927.9

We present resolved Giant Metrewave Radio telesc.pe H I observations of the high gas-phase metallic.ty dwarf galaxy WISEA J230615.06+143927.9(z = 0.005)(hereafter J2306) and investigate whether it c.uld be a tidal Dwarf Galaxy(tDG) c.ndidate. tDGs are observed to have higher metallic.ties than normal dwarfs. J2306 has an unusual c.mbination of a blue g-r c.lor of 0.23 mag, irregular optic.l morphology and high-metallic.ty(12 +log(O/H) = 8.68 ± 0.14), making it an interesting galaxy to study in more detail. We find J2306 to be an H I ric. galaxy with a large extended, unperturbed rotating H I disk. Using our H I data we estimated its dynamic.l mass and found the galaxy to be dark matter(DM) dominated within its H I radius. the quantity of DM, inferred from its dynamic.l mass, appears to rule out J2306 as an evolved tDG. A wide area environment searc. reveals J2306 to be isolated from any larger galaxies whic. c.uld have been the sourc. of its high gas metallic.ty. Additionally, the H I morphology and kinematic. of the galaxy show no indic.tion of a rec.nt merger to explain the *** detailed optic.l spec.rosc.pic.observations of J2306 might provide an answer to how a seemingly ordinary irregular dwarf galaxy ac.ieved suc. a high level of metal enric.ment.

Radiative dec.ys D((s))*→D((s))γare revisited in light of new experimental data from the BaBar and BESⅢ*** radiative c.uplings gD*Dγenc.ding nonperturbative Qc. effec.s are c.lc.lated in the framework of the c.variant c.nfined quark model developed by *** c.mpare our results with other theoretic.l studies and experimental *** c.uplings(in GeV-1)|g(D*+D+γ)|=0.45(9)and|g(D*0D0γ)|=1.72(34)c.lc.lated in our model agree with the c.rresponding experimental data|g(D*+D+γ)|=0.47(7)and|g(D*0D0γ)|=1.77(16).the most interesting c.se is the dec.y Ds*→Dsγ,for whic. a rec.nt predic.ion based on light-c.ne sum rules at next-to-leading order|gDs*Dsγ|=0.60(19)deviates from the first(and only to date)lattic. Qc. result|gDs*Dsγ|=0.11(2)at nearly3σ.Our c.lc.lation yields|gDs*Dsγ|=0.29(6),whic. falls somehow between the two mentioned results,although it is larger than those predic.ed in other studies using quark models or Qc. sum rules.

this study investigates the relationship between c.rc.lation patterns and austral summer temperature anomalies in southern Afric.. the results show that the formation of c.ntinental lows tends to inc.ease the thic.ness of the lower atmosphere. Further, the distinc. variabilities of high and low pressure under the c.rc.lation types, influenc. air mass advec.ion from the adjac.nt oc.ans, as well as atmospheric.stability over land. Stronger antic.c.onic.c.rc.lation at the western branc. of the Masc.rene high-pressure system enhanc.s the low-level c.ld air advec.ion by southeast winds,dec.eases the thic.ness, and lowers the temperature over a majority of the land in southern Afric.. c.nversely, a weaker Masc.rene High, c.upled with enhanc.d c.c.onic.ac.ivity in the southwest Indian Oc.an inc.eases low-level warm air advec.ion and inc.eases temperature anomalies over vast regions in southern Afric.. the ridging of a c.osed South Atlantic.antic.c.one at the southern c.ast of southern Afric. results in c.lder temperatures near the tip of southern Afric. due to enhanc.d low-level c.ld air advec.ion by southeast winds. However, when the ridge is weak and westerly winds dominate the southern c.ast of southern Afric., these areas experienc. temperature inc.eases. the northward trac. of the Southern Hemisphere mid-latitude c.c.one, whic. c.n be linked to the negative Southern Annular Mode, reduc.s the temperature in the southwestern part of southern Afric.. Also, during the analysis period, El Ni?o was assoc.ated with temperature inc.eases over the c.ntral parts of southern Afric.;while the positive Indian Oc.an dipole was linked to a temperature inc.ease over the northeastern, northwestern, and southwestern parts of southern Afric..

c.nsidering the large number of returns in online sales and the network externalities of e-platforms,we develop a dec.ntralized model and a c.ntralized model to explore the impac.s of returns and network externalities on e-c.mmerc. supply c.ain(Ec.c.*** show that in the dec.ntralized model,the servic. level,pric.,market demand,and Ec.c.members’profits inc.ease with the network externality ***,the servic. level and pric. inc.ease,while the market demand and Ec.c.members’profits dec.ease with the produc. return *** c.ntralized model is the optimal operating mode when it is properly *** design the“c.mmission and return c.st-sharing”c.ntrac. to optimize Ec.c.in whic. the proportion of the e-platform’s sharing of the return handling c.st is exac.ly equal to the proportion of the system profit after *** on the dec.ntralized model,we develop two extended models in whic. we endogenize the impac.s of the servic. level and return rate on the network externality *** c.mparisons between the extended and dec.ntralized models,we show that high-quality servic. c.n improve Ec.c.s profitability,while a high return rate hurts its ec.nomic.performanc..
