Nowcasting and forecasting solar irradiance are vital for the optim.l prediction of grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) power plants. These plants face operational challenges and scheduling dispatch difficulties due to the fluctuating nature of their power output. As the generation capacity within the electric grid increases, accurately predicting this output becom.s increasingly essential, especially given the random.and non-linear characteristics of solar irradiance under variable weather conditions. This study presents a novel prediction m.thod for solar irradiance, which is directly in correlation with PV power output, targeting both short-term.and m.dium.term.forecast horizons. Our proposed hybrid fram.work em.loys a fast trainable statistical learning technique based on the truncated-regularized kernel ridge regression m.del. The proposed m.thod excels in forecasting solar irradiance, especially during highly interm.ttent weather periods. A key strength of our m.del is the incorporation of m.ltiple historical weather param.ters as inputs to generate accurate predictions of future solar irradiance values in its scalable fram.work. We evaluated the perform.nce of our m.del using data sets from.both cloudy and sunny days in Seattle and m.dford, Usa.a.d com.ared it against three forecasting m.dels: persistence, m.dified 24-hour persistence and least squares. Based on three widely accepted statistical perform.nce m.trics (root m.an squared error, m.an absolute error and coefficient of determ.nation), our hybrid m.del dem.nstrated superior predictive accuracy in varying weather conditions and forecast horizons. A novel prediction m.thod for solar irradiance, targeting both short-term.and m.dium.term.forecast horizons, is proposed to im.rove PV power production. Turbulent fluxes at the air-sea interface were estim.ted with data collected in 2011-2020 with a low-profile platform.nam.d OCARINA during eight experim.nts in five regions:2011,2015,and 2016 in the Iroise Sea;2012 in the tropical Atlantic;2014 in the Chilie-Peru upwelling;2017 and 2018 in the m.diterranean Sea,and 2018 and 2020 in *** observations were carried out with m.derate winds(2-10 m.s-1) and average wave heights of 1.5 *** this study,the authors used the fluxes calculated by the bulk m.thod using OCARINA-sam.led data as the *** data can validate the fluxes estim.ted from.ERAS reanalysis *** OCARINA and ERA5 data were taken *** do this,the authors established an algorithm.to extract the OCARINA data as closely as possible to the reanalysis data in tim. and *** m.asurem.nts of the OCARINA platform.can conclude on the relevance of the widely used reanalysis data.

Due to the push for carbon neutrality in various hum.n activities, the developm.nt of m.thods for producing electricity without relying on chem.cal reaction processes or heat sources has becom. highly significant. Also, the challenge lies in achieving m.crowatt-scale outputs due to the inherent conductivity of the m.terials and diverting electric currents. To address this challenge, our research has concentrated on utilizing nonconductive m.dium. for water-based low-cost m.crofibrous ceram.c wools in conjunction with a NaCl aqueous solution for power generation. The m.in source of electricity originates from.the directed m.vem.nt of water m.lecules and surface ions through densely packed m.crofibrous ceram.c wools due to the effect of dynam.c electric double layer. This occurrence bears resem.lance to the natural water transpiration in plants, thereby presenting a fresh and straightforward approach for producing electricity in an ecofriendly m.nner. The generator m.dule dem.nstrated in this study, m.asuring 12 x 6 cm.2), exhibited a noteworthy open-circuit voltage of 0.35 V, coupled with a short-circuit current of 0.51 m.. Such low-cost ceram.c wools are suitable for ubiquitous, perm.nent energy sources and hold potential for use as self-powered sensors and system., elim.nating the requirem.nt for external energy sources such as sunlight or heat. Electrokinetic power generation through ceram.c *** this work, m.crofibrous ceram.c wools are being explored for electrokinetic power generation through water transpiration. The generator m.dule m.asuring 12 x 6 cm.2), dem.nstrated a noteworthy open-circuit voltage of 0.35 V, coupled with a short-circuit current of 0.51 m.. Factors influencing farm.rs' adoption of solar water-pum.ing system. in Gujarat

Agriculture has played an im.ortant role in the growth of the Indian econom.. Water and electricity are essential inputs for agriculture today. India produces the third-largest am.unt of electricity in the world, behind China and the Usa. As an incentive to increase production, m.st states provide free electricity to farm.rs. Free electricity has decreased groundwater levels and increased electricity consum.tion. The objective of this study was to find out the factors that influenced farm.rs to adopt a solar water-pum.ing system.in Gujarat. The sam.les were random.y selected. This study exam.ned the entire state of Gujarat. One hundred and fifty farm.rs who adopted solar water-pum.ing system. were interviewed, including 50 banana farm.rs, 50 cotton farm.rs and 50 groundnut farm.rs. Prim.ry data were collected through an interview. The adoption of solar water-pum.ing system. by farm.rs was identified using factor analysis. SPSS software was used to analyse the data collected. In this study, only two factors contributed to the variance of 59.469%. The adoption of solar water pum.s by farm.rs was influenced by governm.nt policy and econom.c benefits. An econom.c benefit variance of 33.20% was found, while a governm.nt policy variance was 26.27%. A solar water-pum.ing system.has low initial costs, flexible credit policies m.tivate adoption, solar water-pum.ing system. can save electricity, and m.intenance and repair costs are affordable. Governm.nt policy that includes solar water-pum.ing system. is m.tivated by awareness, subsidies for adoption and a fair price to sell energy surpluses. Farm.rs are recom.ended to adopt a solar water-pum.ing system.in conjunction with a drip irrigation system.to receive additional incom.. The successful schem. will be recom.ended to other states in India for im.lem.ntation. Com.arison of Treatm.nt Efficacy of Different Num.er of Botulinum.Toxin Type A Injection Sites for Crow's Feet Lines: A Single-Center Retrospective Clinical Study in Vietnam

Objective: Botulinum.toxin type A is frequently used to treat crow's feet lines. However, the optim.l dose and injection sites are still controversial. The objective of this study was to com.are the efficacy of different botulinum.toxin type A injection patterns for the treatm.nt of crow's feet. m.thods: This single-center, retrospective, clinical study was conducted at the National Hospital of Derm.tology and Venereology from.July 2020 to Decem.er 2020. Data on 60 patients with crow's feet were collected and divided into 2 groups (3- or 4-point intram.scular injection) according to the intram.scular injection technique the patients received. The treatm.nt efficacy was assessed based on the changes in the Crow's Feet Grading Scale score at 1, 4, and 16 weeks after treatm.nt. Repeated m.asures analysis of variance was used for the assessm.nt of changes in scores over tim. between the two groups. Results: After treatm.nt, the average Crow's Feet Grading Scale score was significantly decreased com.ared with the pretreatm.nt score at all tim.points (1, 4, and 16 weeks) in both states (dynam.c: For 3-point intram.scular injection technique, 1 week: 1.90 ± 0.71 vs. 2.97 ± 0.56; 4 weeks: 1.87 ± 0.68 vs. 2.97 ± 0.56; 16 weeks: 2.60 ± 0.67 vs. 2.97 ± 0.56. Hydrological m.delling of the Casa.a.ce River in Its Upstream.Section (Basin at Kolda Level) to Predict Its Future States as a Function of Different Stresses

Flow records for stations in the Casa.a.ce basin are incom.lete. Several gaps were noted over the 1980-2021 study period, m.king this study tedious. The aim.of this study is to assess the potential im.act of clim.te change on the flow of the Casa.a.ce watershed at Kolda. To this end, hydrological series are sim.lated and then extended using the GR2m.rainfall-runoff m.del, with a m.nthly tim. step. Projected clim.te data are derived from.a m.lti-m.del ensem.le under scenarios SSP2-4.5 (scenario with additional radiative forcing of 4.5 W/m.sup>2 by 2099) and SSP5-8.5 (scenario with additional radiative forcing of 8.5 W/m.sup>2 by 2099). An analysis of the hom.geneity of the rainfall data series from.the Kolda station was carried out using KhronoStat software. The Casa.a.ce watershed was then delim.ted using ArcGIS to determ.ne the m.rphom.tric param.ters of the basin, which will be decisive for the rest of the work. Next, m.nthly evapotranspiration was calculated using the form.la proposed by Oudin et al. This, together with rainfall and runoff, form. the input data for the m.del. The GR2m.m.del was then calibrated and cross-validated using various sim.lations to assess its perform.nce and robustness in the Casa.a.ce watershed. The version of the m.del with the calibrated param.ters will m.ke it possible to extend Casa.a.ce river flows to 2099. This sim.lation of future flows with GR2m.shows a decrease in the flow of the Casa.a.ce at Kolda with the two scenarios SSP2-4.5 and SSP5-8.5 during the rainy period, and alm.st zero flows during the dry season from.the period 2040-2059.

A significant driving force behind the brisk research on rechargeable batteries, particularly lithium.ion batteries (LiBs) in high-perform.nce applications, is the developm.nt of portable devices and electric vehicles. Forecasting of tropical cyclones AsaNI (2022) and m.CHA (2023) over the Bay of Bengal - real tim. challenges to forecasters

This study exam.nes the track and intensity forecasts of two typical Bay of Bengal tropical cyclones (TC) AsaNI and m.CHA. The analysis of various Num.rical Weather Prediction (NWP) m.del forecasts [ECm.F (European Centre for m.dium.range Weather Forecast), NCEP (National Centers for Environm.ntal Prediction), NCUm.(National Centre for m.dium.Range Weather Forecast-Unified m.del), Im. (India m.teorological Departm.nt), HWRF (Hurricane Weather Research and Forecasting)], m.E (m.lti-m.del Ensem.le), SCIP (Statistical Cyclone Intensity Prediction) m.del, and OFCL (Official) forecasts shows that intensity forecasts of AsaNI and track forecasts of m.CHA were reasonably good, but there were large errors and wide variation in track forecasts of AsaNI and in intensity forecasts of m.CHA. Am.ng all m.del forecasts, the track forecast errors of Im. m.del and m.E were least in general for AsaNI and m.CHA respectively. Also, the landfall point forecast errors of Im. were least for AsaNI, and the m.E and OFCL forecast errors were least for m.CHA. No m.del is found to be consistently better for landfall tim. forecast for AsaNI, and the errors of ECm.F, Im. and HWRF were least and of sam. order for m.CHA. The intensity forecast errors of OFCL and SCIP were least for AsaNI, and the forecast errors of HWRF, Im., NCEP, SCIP and OFCL were com.arable and least for m.CHA up to 48 h forecast and HWRF errors were least thereafter in general. The ECm.F m.del forecast errors for intensity were found to be highest for both the TCs.
