Detecting communities in real and complex networks is a highly contested topic in network *** many metaheuristic-based algorithms for community detection have been proposed,they still cannot effectively fulfill large-scale and real-world ***,this paper presents a new discrete version of the Improved Grey Wolf Optimizer(I-GWO)algorithm named DI-GWOCD for effectively detecting communities of different *** the proposed DI-GWOCD algorithm,I-GWO is first armed using a local search strategy to discover and improve nodes placed in improper communities and increase its ability to search for a better *** a novel Binary Distance Vector(BDV)is introduced to calculate the wolves’distances and adapt I-GWO for solving the discrete community detection *** performance of the proposed DI-GWOCD was evaluated in terms of modularity,NMI,and the number of detected communities conducted by some well-known real-world network *** experimental results were compared with the state-of-the-art algorithms and statistically analyzed using the Friedman and Wilcoxon *** comparison and the statistical analysis show that the proposed DI-GWOCD can detect the communities with higher quality than other comparative algorithms.

Herein,nitrogen and sulfur co-doped carbon nanotubes(NS-CNT)adsorbents were synthesized via the chemical vapor deposition technique at 1000°C by employing the camphor,urea and sulfur trioxide *** this study,desulfurization of two types of mercaptans(dibenzothiophene(DBT)and tertiary butyl mercaptan(TBM)as nonlinear and linear forms of mercaptan)was *** this regard,a maximum capacity of NS-CNT was obtained as 106.9 and 79.4 mg/g and also the removal efficiencies of 98.6%and 88.3%were achieved after 4 h at 298K and 0.9 g of NS-CNT for DBT and TBM,*** of the NS-CNTs was carried out through exploiting scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),and elemental analysis(CHN).The isotherm equilibrium data could be ascribed to the Freundlich nonlinear regression form and the kinetic data was fitted by nonlinear form of the pseudo second order *** negative values of ΔS^(0),ΔH^(0) and ΔG^(0) specify that the adsorption of both types of mercaptans was a natural exothermic process with a reduced *** of more than 96%of the adsorption capacity even after nine cycles suggest the NS-CNT as a superior adsorbent for mercaptans removal in the *** functional theory(DFT)calculations were also performed to peruse the effects of S/N co-doping and carbon monovacancy defects in CNTs toward the adsorption of DBT and TBM.

In the last two decades,significant research has been conducted in the field of automated extraction of rock mass discontinuity characteristics from three-dimensional(3D)*** provides several methodologies for acquiring discontinuity measurements from 3D models,such as point clouds generated using laser scanning or ***,even with numerous automated and semiautomated methods presented in the literature,there is not one single method that can automatically characterize discontinuities accurately in a minimum of *** this paper,we critically review all the existing methods proposed in the literature for the extraction of discontinuity characteristics such as joint sets and orientations,persistence,joint spacing,roughness and block size using point clouds,digital elevation maps,or *** a result of this review,we identify the strengths and drawbacks of each method used for extracting those *** found that the approaches based on voxels and region growing are superior in extracting joint planes from 3D point *** tensor voting with trace growth algorithm is a robust method for measuring joint trace length from 3D *** is estimated by calculating the perpendicular distance between joint *** independent roughness indices are presented to quantify roughness from 3D surface models,but there is a need to incorporate these indices into automated *** is a lack of efficient algorithms for direct computation of block size from 3D rock mass surface models.

Time to digital converter(TDC)is a key block for time-gated single photon avalanche diode(SPAD)arrays for Raman spectroscopy that applicable in the agricultural products and food *** this paper a new dual slope time to digital converter that employs the time to voltage conversion and integrating techniques for digitizing the time interval input signals is *** reference clock frequency of the TDC is 100 MHz and the input range is theoretically *** proposed converter features high accuracy,very small average error and high linear *** this converter has some advantages such as low circuit complexity,low power consumption and low sensitive to the temperature,power supply and process changes(PVT)compared with the time to digital converters that used preceding conversion *** proposed converter uses an indirect time to digital conversion ***,our converter has the appropriate linearity without extra *** order to evaluate the proposed idea,an integrating time to digital converter is designed in 0.18 lm CMOS technology and was simulated by *** of the theoretical and simulation results confirms the proposed TDC operation;therefore,the proposed converter is very convenient for applications which have average speed and low variations in the signal amplitude such as biomedical signals.

A discrete-event system simulation and animation program was developed to enhance the efficiency of a truck-excavator operation and reduce the environmental impact of haulage in an open-cut coal mine with multiple-pit operations. In any mine, a key objective is to have sufficient equipment for production and not to have excess to where it becomes counterproductive. Due to the advent of responsible mining,environmental regulations, and eco-friendly practices, these factors must also be considered in the analysis. Simulation studies can be financially advantageous for both the optimization of existing mine operations and new development phases in a mine. This study is a new approach to use discrete-event system simulation for mine systems, in order to investigate and possibly reduce environmental impact considering mining haulage performance and production target. A hypothetical layout of a surface coal mine with two pit operations was used for the simulation and animation model. The simulation model includes the animation of the operation. Animation is helpful to enhance the benefit of a mine simulation model. GPSS/Hòand Proof Professionalòwere the software used for the investigation.

Formation of AlN Nano Particles Precipitated in St-14 Low Carbon Steel by Micro and Nanoscopic Observations

In low carbon steels, dissolution and precipitation of the second phases such as carbides and nitrides during annealing cycles can affect the final structure and properties of the materials. The interaction of above processes depends on parameters such as reheating temperature, heating rate, annealing temperature, soaking time and finishing temperature in hot rolling stage before cold rolling. The effects of heating rate and annealing temperature on the microstructure and hardness were investigated. Two heating rates for annealing temperatures of 550, 610 and 720℃ were applied on cold-rolled specimens and St-14 low carbon steel, which were immediately quenched after isothermal annealing. The intercept method was used tO measure average grain sizes. However, resulted microstructures are dif- ferent for the two heating rates. While pancaked structures were observed in specimens annealed with low heating rate, in samples annealed with high heating rate, equiaxed microstructures were observed. Vickers micro-hardness values decreased at all temperatures, which were more significant at higher temperatures. At longer annealing time, signs of increase of hardness values were detected. All results and observations consistently suggest that a precipitati- on process has occurred concurrently with restoration processes during annealing. In addition, the energy dispersive spectroscopy analysis resulted from transmission electron microscopic micrographs have proved that the nano particles precipitated in grain boundaries are AlN.

The acid gas absorption in four potassium based amino acid salt solutions was predicted using artificial neural network(ANN). Two hundred fifty-five experimental data points for CO_2 absorption in the four potassium based amino acid salt solutions containing potassium lysinate, potassium prolinate, potassium glycinate, and potassium taurate were used in this modeling. Amine salt solution's type, temperature, equilibrium partial pressure of acid gas, the molar concentration of the solution, molecular weight, and the boiling point were considered as inputs to ANN to prognosticate the capacity of amino acid salt solution to absorb acid gas. Regression analysis was employed to assess the performance of the network. Levenberg–Marquardt back-propagation algorithm was used to train the optimal ANN with 5:12:1 architecture. The model findings indicated that the proposed ANN has the capability to predict precisely the absorption of acid gases in various amino acid salt solutions with Mean Square Error(MSE) value of 0.0011, the Average Absolute Relative Deviation(AARD) percent of 5.54%,and the correlation coefficient(R^2) of 0.9828.
