We report on the magnetohydrodynamic impact on the axisymmetric flow of Al_(2)O_(3)/Cu nanoparticles suspended in h_(2)O past a stretched/shrinked *** the use of partial differential equations and the corresponding thermophysical characteristics of nanoparticles,the physical flow process is *** resultant nonlinear system of partial differential equations is converted into a system of ordinary differential equations using the suitable similarity *** transformed differential equations are solved *** of the magnetic parameter,solid volume fraction and stretching/shrinking parameter on momentum and temperature distribution have been analyzed and interpreted *** skin friction and Nusselt number were also *** addition,existence of dual solution was deduced for the shrinking sheet and unique solution for the stretching ***,Al_(2)O_(3)/h_(2)O nanofluid flow has better thermal conductivity on comparing with Cu/h_(2)O ***,it was found that the first solutions of the stream are stable and physically realizable,whereas those of the second ones are unstable.

We investigate the phenomenon of pair production of massive scalar particles with magnetic charge near the horizon of a magnetized dyonic Reissner-Nordstrom black *** intrinsic symmetry between the electric and magnetic quantities in the Einstein-maxwell equations suggests that the pair can be generated through hawking radiation and the Schwinger effect,provided that the Dirac quantization condition is satisfied.

Interstellar scintillation(ISS)is a well-known phenomenon observed from pulsars in the milky *** comprises intensity variations *** and frequency caused by constructive and destructive interference from multipath propagation,which is due to diffraction from fluctuations in electron density in the interstellar medium(ISm)on scales as small as~100 *** density fluctuations appear to be part of a turbulence process combined with discrete structures in electron density from other astrophysical processes;together these fluctuations extend to scales of pc or larger.

Nd^(3+)-doped tellurite glasses are promising materials for thermometers based on the fluorescence intensity ratio(FIR)***,at high Nd^(3+)concentrations,energy transfer(ET)processes such as optical reabsorption and cross-relaxation can affect the Nd^(3+)emission,which has been little explored in the ***,the present work investigated the use of Nd^(3+)-doped tellurite glass(samples doped with Nd^(3+)at 0.2 mol%,0.5 mol%,2.0 mol%,and 4.0 mol%)in fluorescence thermometers,in the temperature range from 299 to 371 *** results indicate a strong dependence of the FIR parameters on the Nd^(3+)concentration,due to changes in the emission band profiles caused by optical reabsorption of the Nd^(3+)emissions and cross-relaxation processes.A decrease of the relative sensitivity of the ratio^(4)F_(5/2)→^(4)I_(9/2)/^(4)F_(3/2)→^(4)I_(9/2)is observed for samples doped with higher amounts of Nd^(3+).The maximum relative sensitivity at 299 K is 3.00%/K,which is the highest value among the reported Nd^(3+)ions.

Plants edited with new genomic techniques(NGTs)currently fall under the Genetically modified Organisms Directive(2001/18/EC)in the European *** the proposal of the European Commission,NGT plants are partially exempted from the regulations of this *** proposal makes a distinction between two categories of NGT plants:NGT-1 and ***-1 category plants are considered equal to plants obtained through conventional breeding *** plants will not be labelled for the consumer,although they will be labelled as ***-2 category plants may be labelled with additional information as a positive *** of seeds of varieties made with gene editing,but not the products,would mean that most steps in the production chain are transparent,but not the last step towards ***“right to know”and increasing knowledge of gene-edited food is a common theme in food labelling towards ***,we describe current labelling regimes and registers and how these may be applied to provide transparency on gene-edited products to ***,we also look into consumer studies,which indicate a greater acceptance of gene-edited food among consumers,especially when additional benefits such as sustainability are mentioned.

The use of neutron methods in environmental and biological sciences is rapidly emerging and accelerating with the development of new instruments at neutron user *** article,based on a workshop held at Oak Ridge National Laboratory(ORNL),offers insights into the application of neutron techniques in environmental and biological *** highlight recent advances and identify key challenges and potential future research *** include soil and rhizosphere processes,root water dynamics,plant-microbe interactions,structure and dynamics of biological systems,applications in synthetic biology and enzyme engineering,next-generation bioproducts,biomaterials and bioenergy,nanoscale structure,and fluid dynamics of porous materials in *** provide an outlook on emerging opportunities with an emphasis on new capabilities that will be enabled at the Spallation Neutron Source Second Target Station currently under design at *** mission of scientific neutron user facilities worldwide is to enable science using state-of-the-art neutron *** aim to encourage researchers in the environmental and biological research community to explore the unique capability afforded by neutrons at these facilities.

With the integration of ultrafast reflectivity and polarimetry probes,we observed carrier relaxation and spin dynamics induced by ultrafast laser excitation of Ni(111)single *** carrier relaxation time within the linear excitation range reveals that electron-phonon coupling and dissipation of photon energy into the bulk of the crystal take tens of *** the other hand,the observed spin dynamics indicate a longer time of about 120 *** further understand how the lattice degree of freedom is coupled with these dynamics may require the integration of an ultrafast diffraction probe.

Colonoscopy is an integral part of the lower bowel care and is generally considered a potentially safe diagnostic and therapeutic procedure performed as a daycare outpatient *** is associated with different complications that are not limited to adverse events related to the bowel preparation solutions used,the sedatives used,but to the procedure related as well including bleeding and *** to the extra-luminal abdominal organs during colonoscopy are uncommon,however,serious complications related to the procedure have been reported infrequently in the *** threatening injuries to the spleen,liver,pancreas,mesentery,and urinary bladder have been reported as early as in *** injuries should not be overlooked by clinicians and *** increasing abdominal pain,abdominal distension,and hemodynamic instability in absence of rectal bleeding should raise the possibility of severe organ *** and hepatic injury following colonoscopy are usually serious and may be life *** conservative management may help,yet they usually need interventional radiology or surgical *** pancreatitis following colonoscopy is usually mild and is mostly managed *** mechanism of abdominal organ injuries during colonoscopy is not fully understood,however many risk factors have been identified,which can be classified as-organ related,procedure related,and local abdominal *** colonoscopy and prior intra-abdominal adhesions are probably the most relevant risk factors for these *** lateral position,avoidance of looping and excessive force during the procedure would probably reduce the risk of such injuries.
