Fundamentally, technology is the key to achieving a competitive advantage. Novel and advanced technologies and manufacturing systems have turned the attention of labour-intensive firms towards technological attractiveness. In the textile industry, advancements in technology and products are massive. The study sought to assess the extent to which managers of Small and Medium Textile Enterprises (STMEs) are taking advantage of the technology available in textile designing, production and marketing space, as there is a growing interest worldwide to boost the innovative activity of enterprises, especially technological innovation. The study is quantitative research. A multi-stage sampling procedure involving convenient, purposive and stratified sampling techniques was employed in this study. A sample size of 300 was drawn from the 80 SMTEs. The study discovered that most of the textile enterprises in Ghana mostly use computer-generated designs, manual screen printing and digital embroidery technologies in their production. The study also established that SMTEs continually resort to traditional advertising techniques rather than contemporary marketing and advertising mediums for marketing their products. In view of this, SMTEs should seek more knowledge regarding innovative contemporary marketing strategies to increase patronage.

The ever-increasing needs of Internet of Things networks (IoTn) present considerable issues in computing complexity, security, trust, and authentication, among others. This gets increasingly more challenging as technology advances, and its use expands. As a consequence, boosting the capacity of these networks has garnered widespread attention. As a result, 5G, the next phase of cellular networks, is expected to be a game-changer, bringing with it faster data transmission rates, more capacity, improved service quality, and reduced latency. however, 5G networks continue to confront difficulties in establishing pervasive and dependable connections amongst high-speed IoT devices. Thus, to address the shortcomings in current recommendations, we present a unified architecture based on software-defined networks (SDNs) that provides 5G-enabled devices that must have complete secrecy. Through SDN, the architecture streamlines network administration while optimizing network communications. A mutual authentication protocol using elliptic curve cryptography is introduced for mutual authentication across certificate authorities and clustered heads in IoT network deployments based on IoT. Again, a dimensionality reduction intrusion detection mechanism is introduced to decrease computational cost and identify possible network breaches. however, to leverage the method’s potential, the initial module's security is reviewed. The second module is evaluated and compared to modern models.

performance Evaluation of Dry Season Okra under Sawdust and Trash Mulch Cover Treatments in Southwestern Nigeria

This paper reports the experimental investigation of the agronomic performance of okra under various quantities of both sawdust and trash mulches. The location of the field was the research farmland of the Federal polytechnic Ado Ekiti Nigeria;Lat 6?N and Long 16?E. The experimental design used was complete randomized design with 6 treatments on both specimens. The experiments were repeated the following year on the same plot but with transposed plot allocation. Soil moisture loss from uncovered plot was with the highest value dropping to less than 2 per cent. It was followed by that of trash plot and the lowest loss was on sawdust mulched plot. The number of leave formed by okra on sawdust, trash and no mulch plots was 43, 36 and 27 respectively while maximum girth diameter was 37 mm in both trash and sawdust covered plots but okra plant on control plot attained only 26 mm diameter. Fruit yield were almost similar to trash and sawdust mulched okra having 7.5 and 7.6 Tonnes/ha respectively while control plot recorded 5.2 Tonnes/ha. The ash content of dry matter of sawdust, trash and no mulched plants was 0.25, 0.20 and 0.17 kg respectively. It was concluded that sawdust could perform as much as the traditional trash materials commonly used in Southwestern Nigeria. Also, sawdust was a good material for conserving soil moisture.

plants are sources of medicinal compounds,and they play a crucial role in human health *** precatorius is one of the important medicinal plants that have been alleged for their medicinal *** research unraveled the pharmacological effect of ethanolic extract of Abrus precatorius on lipid peroxidation,liver parameters,and Na^(+)/K^(+)-ATpase activity in hgCl_(2) treated wistar ***-four(24)albino wistar rats weighing between 150-200 g were distributed into four groups of 6 animals *** A(control)received normal saline(0.9% NaCl),group B received 400 mg/kg of the extract only,group C received 4 mg/kg hgCl_(2) only,and group D received 400 mg/kg of extract+4 mg/kg of hgCl_(2).The treatment lasted for two weeks,and the animals were sacrificed on the 15th *** blood,brains and livers were collected and used for assay of lipid peroxidation,liver function,and sodium pump *** results of liver function test revealed an elevated(prum aspartate transaminase,alanine transaminase,alkaline phosphatase,and total bilirubin in the group that received hgCl_(2) only(group C)when compared with the normal control(group A)that received normal saline ***,the administration of extract in group D led to a marked(preduction in the activities of these enzymes and the level of total bilirubin when compared to the negative control(group C).On the contrary,hgCl_(2) caused a significant(preduction in serum total protein and albumin levels,but the extract reversed the effect of hgCl_(2) by elevating their ***,the effect elicited by this extract is comparable to group A which received normal ***,the result of lipid peroxidation revealed that hgCl_(2) treatment caused a marked(prease in the formation of lipid peroxidation adducts in both liver and brain homogenates in group *** the contrary,administration of Abrus precatorius extract profoundly(phibited hgCl_(2)-
