This work focuses to improve the.m.chanical properties and investigates the growth of osteoblasts on a degradable chitosan/poly(L-lactide)/carbon nanotubes composite for tissue engineering. The.m.rphological and mechanical properties characterizations were performed using scanning electronic microscopy (Sem) and rhe.m.trics analysis system (RSA). Osteoblasts differentiation was dete.m.ned by alkaline phosphatase activity, total number cells by an Alamar Blue assay, cell attachment and proliferation were visualized qualitatively using Sem, mineralization was characterized by transformed infrared spectroscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction. The results suggest that the chitosan/poly(L-lactide)/multiwalled carbon nanotubes composites exhibit the ability to promote cell adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation on their surface.

The intricate anatomy of the corpus cavernosum in both the flaccid and tumescent state has not been fully elucidated. We report our experience using a three-dimensional （3D） scanner to reconstruct cadaveric casts and compare them with 3D images of two prototypes of penile prosthesis. Two different models of the Titan Coloplast inflatable penile prosthesis were analyzed using a 3D scanner. The first was the standard model and the second was a newer model with a rounder silicone tip. Two cadaveric phalluses were harvested using Smooth-Cast 300Q polyurethane.m.lding. The.m.lds were excised and scanned along side the penile prosthesis. 3D scans were completed and analyzed using Leios mesh software, and gom Inspect software. The 3D scans demonstrated the.m.an human corporal radii 2 mm from the distal tip to be 36.51 mm （36.01-37.0 mm）, which is an obtuse angle. The standard Titan penile prosthesis spherical radius at the same level was 202.52 mm, while the new silicone tip prosthesis had a radius of 139.33 mm. 3D mapping further demonstrated the trajectory of the cavernosa appeared curvilinear and the distal ends appeared blunt. The use of cadaveric cavernosal molds in combination with the 3D scanner allowed us to accurately image the corpus cavernosum for the first time. Our findings suggest that anatomically accurate corporal tips appear to be relatively blunt and that the new Titan silicone tip penile prosthesis more closely resembles the human corporal tip.

背景:目前尚无大数量研究证明 6 个月化疗方案对各类型肺外结核病(ePTB)的疗效。方法:回顾性观察分析方法评估委内瑞拉 Caracas市 1998 年 1 月 1 日至 2000 年 12 月 31 日期间诊断的所有ePTB患者的6个月化疗方案(2HRZe/4H3R3)直接督导治疗结果。结果:共有 679 例纳入研究,其中 101 例(14.9%)合并 AIDS。83.2%患者的诊断依据是微生物学、组织学或基因扩增试验。612 例(90.1%)患者接受了 90%以上规定的治疗总剂量。有 6 例(1%)因药物不良反应而改变了治疗。在接受 90%以上规定治疗总剂量的其余 606 例中,603 例(99.5%)治愈,3 例治疗失败。在治疗结束后的2年随访中,仅有6例复发(1%)。24 例中枢神经系统结核病、27 例骨关节结核病及42 例粟粒性结核病及/或播散性结核病患者治愈后均无复发。结论:继续期周 3 次服药的 6 个月化疗方案治疗各类型肺外结核病是高效的。

Organic Amendments Improve Plant morpho-Physiology and Antioxidant metabolism in mitigating Drought Stress in Bread Wheat(Triticum aestivum L.)

Due to the unpredictable climate change,drought stress is being considered as one of the.m.jor threats to crop ***(Triticum aestivum *** gom-26)being a dry season crop frequently faces scarcity of water and results in a lower ***,this experiment aims to explore the role of different organic amendments(OAs)in mitigating drought stress-induced *** pot experiment consisted of different organic amendments ***,ve.m.compost and poultry manure@0.09 kg m^(−2)soil,biochar@2.5%w/w soil and chitosan@1%w/w soil which was imposed on the plants grown under both well-watered and drought *** showed that drought stress reduced plant height(15%),SPAD value(16%),relative water content(13%),number of spikelet spike^(−1)(17%),number of grains spike^(−1)(12%),and 100-grain weight(18%).Organic amendments act as a protectant and reduce drought stress-induced damages by enhancing the.m.rpho-physiological and yield *** enhanced SPAD value by 18%,number of spikelets spike^(−1)by 20%,number of grains spike^(−1)by 17%,whereas poultry manure increased plant height by 16%under drought condition compared to control *** other OAs applied,ve.m.compost was proved to be capable of reducing the higher lipid peroxidation and proline content raised by drought *** stress-induced increment of catalase,ascorbate peroxidase and glutathione reductase activities were also efficiently modulated by the organic amendment *** present study concluded that OAs play significant roles in alleviating drought stressinduced damages by improving the.m.rpho-physiological attributes and among the different types of OAs used ve.m.compost performed better which in addition ceased the production of reactive oxygen species.

In this study, three wheat varieties were tested to dete.m.ne seed ge.m.nation and the incidence of magnaporthe oryzae triticum (moT). Among these varieties, BARI gom 24 (Prodip) wheat seed exhibited the highest seed ge.m.nation rate (93%) but also had the highest incidence (30%) of moT. To manage blast disease in an ecofriendly manner, seven treatments were employed: T1 = Control, T2 = Garlic clove extracts, T3 = Aloe vera leaf extracts, T4 = Black cumin seed extracts, T5 = Ne.m.leaf extracts, T6 = Nativo 75 WG, and T7 = Provax 200 WP. The experiment was conducted using a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) layout with three replications using Prodip wheat variety that exhibited highest moT infection severity based on laboratory analysis among collected varieties. Data were collected on blast disease incidence (%), disease severity, and various growth and yield parameters of wheat. The experiment’s results indicated that among all the treatments, T7 (Seed treatment with Provax 200 WP) and T5 (Foliar spraying with Ne.m.leaf extract) performed better in controlling blast disease in wheat. The lowest blast disease incidence (%) was observed with T7 (Provax 200 WP), with values of 7.86, 9.86, and 10.19 recorded during the.m.lking stage, soft dough stage, and hard dough stage of wheat, respectively. T5 (Ne.m.leaf extract) also demonstrated a statistically equivalent reduction in blast disease incidence (%). In te.m. of disease severity, T7 (Seed treatment with Provax 200 WP) showed the lowest values of 1.03, 1.23, and 1.63 during the.m.lking stage, soft dough stage, and hard dough stage of wheat, respectively. Foliar spraying with ne.m.leaf extract also exhibited similar result as of Provax 200 WP regarding panicle blast severity. As a result of these findings, it can be concluded that T5 (Ne.m.leaf extract) is recommended as

Climate change impacts are visible in Bangladesh which requires adoption of judicious crop management practices for sustainable agriculture. Crop simulation models are effective in this regard and can be used for optimizing water and nitrogen inputs for maximization of wheat yields. Two field studies were conducted at Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) for evaluating the effect of increased temperature on wheat production under variable water and N rates, through the use of DSSAT v4.6 model. Thirty years historic weather data and BARI gom-26 wheat-cultivar coefficients, as generated through use of GLUe of DSSAT model, were used for evaluating the impact of temperature rise with variable rates of irrigation water and nitrogen. The effects of four levels of nitrogen (0, 40, 80 and 120 kg ha-1) and four irrigation levels [0 (no irrigation), 1, 2 and 3] on wheat yield were evaluated under 0°C, 1°C, 2°C and 3°C rise in temperature. Simulation results indicated that wheat yield increased with increase in nitrogen application rate, but decreased with the temperature rise. Crop growing duration was reduced by about five days for each degree rise in temperature, irrespective of levels of irrigation water and nitrogen-rates. In general, there was yield reduction of 8.13, 16.77 and 24.97 % with increased temperature of 1°C, 2°C and 3°C, respectively, when compared with no temperature rise treatment. For interaction of temperature rise-N dose, the.m.gnitude of yield decline under temperature rise was higher with increased dose of N. Agronomic N use efficiency at different N rates and temperature rise level were calculated. N use efficiency decreases with the increase in temperature rise and the highest (29.95 kg grain kg-1 N) was obtained from 40 kg N ha-1 treated plot with 0°C temperature rise i.e. existing atmospheric temperature.
