Intrusion detection systems (IDSs) are deployed to detect anomalies in real time. They classify a network’s incoming traffic as benign or anomalous (attack). An efficient and robust IDS in software-defined networks is an inevitable component of network security. The main challenges of such an IDS are achieving zero or extremely low false positive rates and high detection rates. Internet of Things (IoT) networks run by using devices with minimal resources. This situation makes deploying traditional IDSs in IoT networks unfeasible. machine learning (mL) techniques are extensively applied to build robust IDSs. many researchers have utilized different mL methods and techniques to address the above challenges. The development of an efficient IDS starts with a good feature selection process to avoid overfitting the mL model. This work proposes a multiple feature selection process followed by classification. In this study, the Software-defined networking (SDN) dataset is used to train and test the proposed model. This model applies multiple feature selection techniques to select high-scoring features from a set of features. Highly relevant features for anomaly detection are selected on the basis of their scores to generate the candidate dataset. multiple classification algorithms are applied to the candidate dataset to build models. The proposed model exhibits considerable improvement in the detection of attacks with high accuracy and low false positive rates, even with a few features selected.

A comparative study of the Precambrian Sonakhan(SGB)and mahakoshal(mGB)greenstones belts of Central India has been undertaken to decipher their provenance,paleoweathering,paleogeography,and *** compared to the Upper Continental Crust(UCC),the mGB samples are enriched while the SGB samples are depleted in mafic elements indicating the presence of mafic rocks in the source of the *** is complemented by the Ni–Cr *** Ree concentrations,LRee fractionated patterns and negative eu anomalies of the mGB and SGB samples indicate derivation of sediments from a highly fractionated granitic *** mGB samples also contain the geochemical signature of mafic rocks,it is,therefore proposed that the mGB clastic load were derived from two sources(mafic+felsic)with arc *** is attested by Cr and Zr relationships,and LILe enrichment,and HFSe *** features suggest that the SGB developed as autochthonous while the mGB developed as an allochthonous *** chemical alteration indices such as chemical index of alteration(CIA),plagioclase index of alteration(PIA),and index of compositional variability for mGB samples indicate that they were dominantly derived as the first cycle(with minor recycled)sediments from bimodal sources(dominantly continental arcs)by intense chemical weathering as compared to the SGB samples,which were derived from felsic sources(dominantly cratonic rocks),and partly by recycling through a low chemical *** CIA and PIA values of the samples reveal a change in the climatic conditions from Late Archean to Late *** change is interpreted in terms of migration of the Indian plate from high latitudes in the Late Archean to lower latitudes during the Late *** is consistent with the paleomagnetic data that placed India in the configuration of 2.45 Ga Ur and 1.78 Ga Columbia supercontinents.

The paper presents a multi-scale modelling approach for simulating macromolecules in fluid flows. macromolecule transport at low number densities is frequently encountered in biomedical devices, such as separators, detection and analysis systems. Accurate modelling of this process is challenging due to the wide range of physical scales involved. The continuum approach is not valid for low solute concentrations, but the large timescales of the fluid flow make purely molecular simulations prohibitively expensive. A promising multi-scale modelling strategy is provided by the meta-modelling approach considered in this paper. meta-models are based on the coupled solution of fluid flow equations and equations of motion for a simplified mechanical model of macromolecules. The approach enables simulation of individual macromolecules at macroscopic time scales. meta-models often rely on particle-corrector algorithms, which impose length constraints on the mechanical model. Lack of robustness of the particle-corrector algorithm employed can lead to slow convergence and numerical instability. A new FAst Linear COrrector （FALCO） algorithm is introduced in this paper, which significantly improves computational efficiency in comparison with the widely used SHAKe algorithm. Validation of the new particle corrector against a simple analytic solution is performed and improved convergence is demonstrated for ssDNA motion in a lid-driven micro-cavity.

In this study, aluminum alloy （Al-2 wt% Cu） matrix composites reinforced with I, 2 and 4 wt% boron carbide nanoparticles fabricated through mechanical milling with average size of 100 nm were fabricated via stir casting method at 850℃. Cast ingots of the matrix alloy and the composites were extruded at 500℃ at an extrusion ratio of 10：1 to investigate the effects of hot extrusion on the mechanical properties of the composites. The microstructures of the as-cast and the extruded composites were investigated by scanning electron microscopy （Sem）. Density measurement, hardness and tensile tests were carried out to identify the mechanical properties of the composites. The extruded samples revealed a more uniform distribution of B4C nanoparticles. Also, the extruded samples had strength and ductility values superior to those of the as-cast counterparts. In the as-cast and the extruded samples, with increasing amount of B4C nanoparticles, yield strength and tensile strength increased but e^ongation to fracture decreased.

In this paper, the effect of pulse-type motions caused by forward directivity that can release huge amounts of energy in a short time period is studied on a telecommunication tower. Since telecommunication towers have longer periods, they are not as affected by seismic forces. Nevertheless, near source earthquakes characterized by high velocity and velocity pulses can change the behavior of these structures. For this reason, a telecommunication tower located near active faults was selected in this study. Considering the probable earthquake magnitude at the site and the distance of the tower from adjacent faults, nine simulated pulses and three near-fault earthquake records with forward directivity are selected and applied to a 3D finite element model of the tower. The results of nonlinear dynamic analysis, i.e., displacements and damage in the tower, indicate that the maximum displacement and drift ratio of the tower under the pulses are obviously affected by the ratio of the structure period to pulse period. When this ratio is decreased and close to 1.0, the maximum displacement and drift ratio are sharply increased and cause large displacements in the tower.

Over the past 13 years, ANDRITZ Hydro has developed an in-house tool based on the SPH-ALe method for applications in flow simulations in hydraulic turbines. The initial motivation is related to the challenging simulation of free surface flows in Pelton turbines, where highly dynamic water jets interact with rotating buckets, creating thin water jets traveling inside the housing and possibly causing disturbances on the runner. The present paper proposes an overview of industrial applications allowed by the developed tool, including design evaluation of Pelton runners and casings, transient operation of Pelton units and free surface flows in hydraulic structures.

A statistical approach is developed, based on a monte Carlo method, in order to determine the statistical composition of a polyamide-6 sample composed of caprolactam （an AB-type monomer） and of a di-acid （A2 type） or a tri- acid （A3 type） as coupling agents. For this composition, the linear theological behavior of these systems is predicted using a tube-based theory. This allows us to show that while coupling agents of type A2 can be seen as flow improver, the effect of branching agents of type A3, depending on the synthesis recipe and the conversion level, can lead either to an increase or to a decrease of the viscosity. By adding specific amount of these agents, we also show that it is possible to obtain materials with the same zero-shear viscosity but with different shear thinning behavior. Furthermore, the polydispersity of linear samples of the same average number molecular weight, mn, is discussed in function of the amount of A2 monomers they contain. Ranging from 2 to 1.5, this difference in polydispersity is expected to have a significant influence on the processing behavior of such materials.

Production of porous silica by the combustion of rice husk ash for tundish lining

In order to study the production of porous silica compacts by the combustion of rice husk ash （RHA） for tundish lining, the experimental design technique was used to evaluate the effect of firing temperature, soaking time and compaction pressure on controlling both the porosity degree and compressive strength of rice husk ash compacts. The results revealed that while the porosity degree of the compacts decreased with the increase in the entire studied parameters, the compressive strength exhibited another trend especially at a lower soaking time. At a lower soaking time, the increase in firing temperature led to a slight decrease in compressive strength and then increasing thereafter. The porous silica compacts having 30% porosity and 〉 2.5 mPa compressive strength suitable for tundish lining could be obtained from the combustion of rice husk ash compacts.
