Application of a probabilistic LHS-PAWN approach to assess building cooling energy demand uncertainties

A deterministic approach to building energy simulation risks the omission of real-world uncertainties leading to prediction *** paper highlights limitations of this approach by contrasting it with a probabilistic uncertainty/sensitivity simulation *** hypercube sampling(LHS)generates 15000 unique model configurations to assess the effects of weather,physical and operational uncertainties on the annual and peak cooling energy demands for a residential building which situated in a hot and dry climatic *** simulations predicted 0.22–2.17 and 0.45–1.62 times variation in annual and peak cooling energy demands,respectively,compared to deterministic simulation.A novel density-based global sensitivity analysis(SA),i.e.,PAWN,is adopted to identify dominant input *** traditional SA methods,PAWN allows simultaneous treatment of continuous and categorical inputs from a generic input-output *** is favourable when computational resources are limited and model outputs are skewed or *** annual and peak cooling demands,the effects of weather and operational parameters associated with airconditioner and window operation are much stronger than these of other parameters ***,these parameters warrant greater attention during modelling and simulation *** and convergence analysis also confirm the validity of these results.

Tool wear is inevitable in daily machining process since metal cutting process involves the chip rubbing the tool surface after it has been cut by the tool *** wear dominantly influences the deterioration of surface finish,geometric and dimensional tolerances of the ***,for complete utilization of cutting tools and reduction of machine downtime during the machining process,it becomes necessary to understand the develop-ment of tool wear and predict its status before *** this study,tool condition monitoring system was used to monitor the behavior of a single point cutting tool to predict flank wear.A uniaxial accelerometer was attached to a single point cutting tool under *** accelerometer acquires vibrational signals during turning operation on a lathe *** acquired signals were then used to extract statistical features such as standard error,variance,skewness,*** substantial features were recognized to reduce the utilization of computing *** were used to classify the signals as good and three different measures of flank wear by a decision tree *** domain features were also extracted and shown to be less effective in classification in comparison to statistical ***(Reduced error Pruning Tree)algorithm was used in this *** decision tree algorithm achieved a maximum classification accuracy of 72.77%for all signals *** spindle speed and feed rate are considered as the variables the accuracy is about 86.25%.When spindle speed is the only variable parameter the accuracy is about 82.71%.When depth of cut,feed rate and speed of the spindle are considered as variable parameters,the accuracy of the decision tree is around 93.51%.This study demonstrates the performance of RePTree classifier in tool condition *** can be utilized for tool wear identification and thus improve surface finish,dimensional accuracy of the work piece and reduce machine *** add

Analyzing long term urban growth trends can provide valuable insights into a city’s future *** study employs LANDSAT satellite images from 1990,2000,2010 and 2019 to perform a spatiotemporal assessment and predict Ahmedabad’s urban *** Use Land Change(LULC)maps developed using the Maximum Likelihood classifier produce four principal classes:Built-up,Vegetation,Water body,and“Others”.In between 1990-2019,the total built-up area expanded by 130%,132 km^(2) in 1990 to 305 km^(2) in *** population growth is the chief contributor towards urban growth as the city added 3.9 km^(2) of additional built-up area to accommodate every 100,000 new ***,a Multi-Layer Perceptron-Markov Chain model(MLP-MC)predicts Ahmedabad’s urban expansion by *** to 2019,the MLP-MC model predicts a 25%and 19%increase in Ahmedabad’s total urban area and population by ***,these trends shall generate many socio-economic and environmental ***,future urban development policies must balance further development and environmental damage.

The field of sentiment analysis(SA)has grown in tandem with the aid of social networking platforms to exchange opinions and *** people share their views and ideas around the world through social media like Facebook and *** goal of opinion mining,commonly referred to as sentiment analysis,is to categorise and forecast a target’s *** on if they provide a positive or negative perspective on a given topic,text documents or sentences can be *** compared to sentiment analysis,text categorization may appear to be a simple process,but number of challenges have prompted numerous studies in this area.A feature selection-based classification algorithm in conjunction with the firefly with levy and multilayer perceptron(MLP)techniques has been proposed as a way to automate sentiment analysis(SA).In this study,online product reviews can be enhanced by integrating classification and feature *** firefly(FF)algorithm was used to extract features from online product reviews,and a multi-layer perceptron was used to classify sentiment(MLP).The experiment employs two datasets,and the results are assessed using a variety of *** account of these tests,it is possible to conclude that the FFL-MLP algorithm has the better classification performance for Canon(98%accuracy)and iPod(99%accuracy).

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is an independent device that comprises a discrete collection of Sensor Nodes (SN) to sense environmental positions,device monitoring, and collection of information. Due to limited energy resourcesavailable at SN, the primary issue is to present an energy-efficient framework andconserve the energy while constructing a route path along with each sensor ***, many energy-efficient techniques focused drastically on energy harvesting and reduced energy consumption but failed to support energy-efficient routingwith minimal energy consumption in WSN. This paper presents an energy-efficientrouting system called energy-aware Proportional Fairness Multi-user Routing(ePFMR) framework in WSN. ePFMR is deployed in the WSN environment usingthe instance time. The request time sent for the route discovery is the foremost stepdesigned in the ePFMR framework to reduce the energy consumption rate. Theproportional fairness routing in WSN selects the best route path for the packet flowbased on the relationship between the periods of requests between different *** path discovered for packet flow also measure energy on multi-user route pathusing the Greedy Instance Fair Method (GIFM). The GIFM in ePFMR developsnode dependent energy-efficient localized route path, improving the *** energy-aware framework maximizes the throughput rate and performs experimental evaluation on factors such as energy consumption rate during routing,Throughput, RST, node density and average energy per packet in WSN. The RouteSearching Time (RST) is reduced using the Boltzmann Distribution (BD), and as aresult, the energy is minimized on multi-user WSN. Finally, GIFM applies aninstance time difference-based route searching on WSN to attain an optimal energyminimization system. experimental analysis shows that the ePFMR framework canreduce the RST by 23.47% and improve the throughput by 6.79% compared withthe state-of-the-art works.

The N-terminal eF-hand calcium-binding proteins 1–3(NeCAB1–3) constitute a family of predominantly neuronal proteins characterized by the presence of at least one eF-hand calcium-binding domain and a functionally less well characterized C-terminal antibiotic biosynthesis monooxygenase domain. All three family members were initially discovered due to their interactions with other proteins. NeCAB1 associates with synaptotagmin-1, a critical neuronal protein involved in membrane trafficking and synaptic vesicle exocytosis. NeCAB2 interacts with predominantly striatal G-protein-coupled receptors, while NeCAB3 partners with amyloid-β A4 precursor protein-binding family A members 2 and 3, key regulators of amyloid-β production. This demonstrates the capacity of the family for interactions with various classes of proteins. NeCAB proteins exhibit distinct subcellular localizations: NeCAB1 is found in the nucleus and cytosol, NeCAB2 resides in endosomes and the plasma membrane, and NeCAB3 is present in the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus. The antibiotic biosynthesis monooxygenase domain, an evolutionarily ancient component, is akin to atypical heme oxygenases in prokaryotes but is not wellcharacterized in vertebrates. Prokaryotic antibiotic biosynthesis monooxygenase domains typically form dimers, suggesting that calcium-mediated conformational changes in NeCAB proteins may induce antibiotic biosynthesis monooxygenase domain dimerization, potentially activating some enzymatic properties. However, the substrate for this enzymatic activity remains uncertain. Alternatively, calcium-mediated conformational changes might influence protein interactions or the subcellular localization of NeCAB proteins by controlling the availability of protein–protein interaction domains situated between the eF hands and the antibiotic biosynthesis monooxygenase domain. The aim of this paper is to observe the Nusselt number and friction factor behavior of the circular tube with conical strip inserts as turbulators in a laminar flow condition, using staggered and non-staggered conical strips with three different twist ratios （Y = 2, 3 and 5）. The conical strip is inserted in the forward and backward direction individually compared to the flow of water which is the working fluid. The results indicate that the conical strip inserts increases the Nusselt number when compared to the plain surface tube. It is observed that the strip geometry has a major effect on the thermal performance of the circular tube. On examination of different strips for determining the enhancement of Nusselt number, the staggered conical strip with the twist ratio of Y = 3 has given a better result compared to the other two strips. Finally, correlations have been derived using regression analysis for predicting the Nusselt number and friction factor.

Present of wind power is sporadically and cannot be utilized as the only fundamental load of energy *** paper proposes a wind-solar hybrid energy storage system(HeSS)to ensure a stable supply grid for a longer period.A multi-objective genetic algorithm(MOGA)and state of charge(SOC)region division for the batteries are introduced to solve the objective function and configuration of the system capacity,***/Simulink was used for simulation *** optimization results show that for a 0.5 MW wind power and 0.5 MW photovoltaic system,with a combination of a 300 Ah lithium battery,a 200 Ah lead-acid battery,and a water storage tank,the proposed strategy reduces the system construction cost by approximately 18,000 ***,the cycle count of the electrochemical energy storage systemincreases from4515 to 4660,while the depth of discharge decreases from 55.37%to 53.65%,achieving shallow charging and discharging,thereby extending battery life and reducing grid voltage fluctuations *** proposed strategy is a guide for stabilizing the grid connection of wind and solar power generation,capability allocation,and energy management of energy conservation systems.
