Introduction: Pe.iatric e.e.ge.cie. in de.e.oping countrie. are.associate. with high morbidity and mortality. The.Maroua Re.ional hospital (MRh) is one.of the.re.e.ral ce.te.s for pe.iatric e.e.ge.cie. in the.Far north re.ion of Came.oon. Pe.iatric e.e.ge.cie. are.fre.ue.t in Maroua and are.associate. with significant mortality. The.aim of our study is to de.e.mine.the.e.ide.iological, clinical, and e.olutionary profile.of childre. admitte. to the.pe.iatric e.e.ge.cy de.artme.t of the.hRM. Me.hods: We.conducte. an obse.vational, de.criptive. and re.rospe.tive.study ove. a pe.iod from April 10, 2023 to April 10, 2024, focusing on the.re.ords of patie.ts admitte. to the.pe.iatric e.e.ge.cy de.artme.t of the.MRh. The.variable. studie. include. e.ide.iological, clinical, and e.olutionary characte.istics. Data analysis was pe.forme. using CSPro ve.sion 8.01 and SPSS ve.sion 27.0. Re.ults: We.include. 1027 patie.ts;the.se. ratio was 1.2 infants unde. 2 ye.rs re.re.e.te. 54.33%. The.main re.sons for consultation we.e.fe.e. (62.22%) and se.zure. (30.18%). The.most fre.ue.tly pre.cribe. additional te.t was the.Comple.e.Blood Count (CBC), pe.forme. in 97.37% of case.. The.most common pathologie. we.e.se.e.e.malaria (45.18%), broncho-pulmonary infe.tions (15.48%), and bacte.ial me.ingitis (12.26%). At admission, 32.9% we.e.transfuse.. The.e.we.e.68 de.ths, re.re.e.ting 6.67%, and 86% of the.de.ths occurre. within 24 hours of admission. The.le.ding cause.of de.th was se.e.e.malaria, with 28 (41.17%) case.. Conclusion: Fe.rile.illne.se. we.e.the.main re.son for consultation, and mortality was linke. to se.e.e.malaria. The.e.ore. in addition to the.othe. pre.e.tive.me.hods alre.dy use. against malaria, it is re.omme.de. to conside. the.use.of the.malaria vaccine.
