Myzus persicae(***)is now considered a threat to agricultural crops due to economic *** synthetic insecticides applied every year against ***,are reported to be unsafe for environment,humans,and beneficial ***,several species of Myzus have been found to develop resistance due to over application of these ***,it is required to find some novel insecticide that would be safe for the environment as well as for *** the current study,two major pure constituentsα-pinene andβ-caryophyllene were evaluated for their insecticidal potential against *** using a fumigant toxicity ***,impact ofα-pinene andβ-caryophyllene on expression of five different genes,e.g.,HSP 60,FPPS I,OSD,TOL and ANT responsible for reproduction,dispersion,and growth of *** has also been *** perform fumigant toxicity assay,five different concentrations(3.5,4,4.5,5 and 6μL L−1)ofα-pinene andβ-caryophyllene were *** concentration(LC)was calculated,and gene expression studies were executed through qRT PCR at LC30 ofα-pinene andβ-*** constituents demonstrated excellent fumigant toxicity effects against *** at all five ***,α-pinene shows significantly better results(98%)as compared toβ-caryophyllene(80%)after 72 h at 6μL L−1 of *** highest upregulation in expression was demonstrated at LC30 dose ofα-pinene in five in three out of five genes understudy(TOL,ANT,and FPPS I).Conversely,two genes HSP 60 and OSD demonstrated downregulation at LC30 dose ofβ-***,our results highlighted the promising insecticidal potential of both compoundsα-pinene andβ-caryophylleneby interfering with the reproduction and development related processes in ***,allowing us to recommend the phytoconstituents under investigation as an ecofriendly alternative to synthetic insecticides.

In recent years,it has been evident that internet is the most effective means of transmitting information in the form of documents,photographs,or videos around the *** purpose of an image compression method is to encode a picture with fewer bits while retaining the decompressed image’s visual *** transmission,this massive data necessitates a lot of channel *** order to overcome this problem,an effective visual compression approach is required to resize this large amount of *** work is based on lossy image compression and is offered for static color *** quantization procedure determines the compressed data quality *** images are converted from RGB to International Commission on Illumination CIE La^(∗)b^(∗);and YCbCr color spaces before being *** the transform domain,the color planes are encoded using the proposed quantization *** improve the efficiency and quality of the compressed image,the standard quantization matrix is updated with the respective image *** used seven discrete orthogonal transforms,including five variations of the Complex Hadamard Transform,Discrete Fourier Transform and Discrete Cosine Transform,as well as thresholding,quantization,de-quantization and inverse discrete orthogonal transforms with CIE La^(∗)b^(∗);and YCbCr to RGB *** to signal noise ratio,signal to noise ratio,picture similarity index and compression ratio are all used to assess the quality of compressed *** the relevant transforms,the image size and bits per pixel are also *** the(n,n)block of transform,adaptive scanning is used to acquire the best feasible compression *** of these characteristics,multimedia systems and services have a wide range of possible applications.

Different kinds of human chronic diseases may develop the mechanism of autoimmune *** a group of disorders,in the Western world autoimmunity possess as the third most prevalent morbidity and ***,the mechanism of most autoimmune diseases is still under *** infection is the principal factor involved in the induction of autoimmune diseases other than genetic factors and cytokine *** mechanisms have been proposed by which viral infection might interrupt tolerance to self and induce autoimmune cascade which eventually leads to the destruction of a specific type of cell or a whole-body *** autoimmune attack can be understood through the different immune systems and other possible mechanisms such as molecular mimicry,bystander activation and epitope *** addition to genetic and viral factors,other environmental factors are also involved including bacterial,parasitic and fungal ***,different animal models have been studied which provide strong evidence that viruses induced AIDs as well as accelerated and increased lesions in conditions where self-tolerance is *** the current review,we discussed the virus-induced autoimmunity and the molecular mechanism which is associated with this *** we also discussed the different viruses such as rubella virus,enteroviruses,measles virus,human T-lymphotropic virus type1,human cytomegalovirus,human herpes virus-6,Epstein-Barr virus,rotavirus and some other viruses which modulate the development of AIDs.

Effect of harmless acute pancreatitis score, red cell distribution width and neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio on the mortality of patients with nontraumatic acute pancreatitis at the emergency department

BACKGROUND: Harmless acute pancreatitis score(HAPS), neutrophile/lymphocyte ratio and red blood cell distribution width(RDW) are used to determine the early prognosis of patients diagnosed with nontraumatic acute pancreatitis in the emergency department(ED).METHODS: Patients diagnosed with acute pancreatitis(K 85.9) in the ED according to the ICD10 coding during one year were included in the study. Patients with chronic pancreatitis and those who had missing data in their files were excluded from the study. Patients who did not have computed tomography(CT) in the ED were not included in the ***: Ultimately, 322 patients were included in the study. The median age of the patients was 53.1(IQR=36–64). Of the patients, 68.1%(n=226) had etiological causes of the biliary tract. The mortality rate of these patients within the first 48 hours was 4.3%(n=14). In the logistic regression analysis performed by using Balthazar classification, HAPS score, RDW, neutrophile/lymphocyte ratio, age, diabetes mellitus and systolic blood pressure, the only independent variable in determining mortality was assigned as Balthazar classification(OR: 15; 95% CI: 3.5 to 64.4).CONCLUSIONS: HAPS, neutrophile/lymphocyte ratio and RDW were not effective in determining the mortality of nontraumatic acute pancreatitis cases within the first 48 hours. The only independent variable for determining the mortality was Balthazar classifi cation.

Effect of Brine Discharge From Al-dur RO Desalination Plant on the Infauna Species Composition in the East Coast of Bahrain

The GCC countries have been experiencing an accelerated socio-economic development process since the 1970s,resulting in rapid demographic and urbanization growth and associated with rapidly increasing municipal water *** meet these demands’quantity and quality,the GCC countries resorted to ***,the GCC countries collectively possess the largest desalination capacity in the world(~45%),and based on the current urbanization trends,it is expected that current rates in desalination capacity growth will continue in the ***,desalination has a number of environmental externalities on the marine,and their severity will depend on various factors(i.e.,site-specific).The objective of the present study is to investigate the impacts of the brine water discharged by Al-dur RO desalination plant on the coastal infauna benthic species composition in the east coast of *** samples were collected from 10 locations selected at different distances from the discharge *** species composition of infauna was investigated using univariate analysis and multivariate *** results showed an extreme elevation in temperature(>38℃)and hypersaline waters(>55‰)at locations nearby the discharge outlet,and also at bottom waters of depths more than 3 m during the high and low tide cycles in both seasons with exceptional levels in *** main groups of benthic infauna identified are represented by Polychaeta(12 taxa),Bivalves(4 taxa),Gastropod(2 taxa),and Amphipod(3 taxa)including 256 *** univariate analysis indicated spatial variations in infauna species composition where the lower diversity indices were found at locations close to the discharge outlet and at Station 5 where noticeable vertical differences were observed indicating exceptional elevation of hypersaline waters with lesser extent of temperature at bottom ***,the highest species diversity indices characterized the most offshore *** infauna speci
