BACKGROUND Global education in psychiatry is heavily influenced by knowledge from Western,high-income countries,which obscures local voices and *** To adapt a human simulation model to psychiatric education in a context that is specific to local languages and *** We conducted an observational study consisting of six human simulation sessions with standardized patients from two host countries,speaking their native languages,and following an adaptation of the co-constructive patient simulation(CCPS)*** local faculty became increasingly familiar with the CCPS approach,they took on the role of facilitators—in their country’s native *** Fifty-three learners participated:19 child and adolescent psychiatry trainees and 3 faculty members in Türkiye(as a group that met online during 3 consecutive months);and 24 trainees and 7 faculty in Israel(divided into 3 groups,in parallel in-person sessions during a single training day).Each of the six cases reflected local realities and clinical challenges,and was associated with specific learning goals identified by each case-writing *** Human simulation has not been fully incorporated into psychiatric education:The creation of immersive clinical experiences and the strengthening of reflective practice are two areas ripe for *** adaptations of CCPS can also strengthen local and regional networks and psychiatric communities of ***,the model can help question and press against hegemonies in psychiatric training that overshadow local expertise.

Gravitation, Density Upper Limit and Quantization of Space

The singularity at distance r → 0 at the center of a spherically symmetric non-rotating, uncharged mass of radius R, is considered here. Under inverse square law force, the Schwarzschild metric, needs to be modified, to include Newton’s Shell Theorem (NST). By including NST for r, both Schwarzschild singularity at r = 2GM/c2 and at r → 0 singularities are removed from the metric. Near R → 0, the question of maximal density is considered based on Schwarzschild’s modified metric, and compared to the quantum limit of maximal mass density put by Planck’s quantum-based universal units. It is asserted, that General relativity, when combined with Planck’s universal units, inevitably leads to quantization of gravity.

Elementary Fermions: Strings, Planck Constant, Preons and Hypergluons

Using real fields instead of complex ones, it is suggested here that the fermions are pairs of coupled strings with an internal tension. The interaction between the two coupled strings is due to an exchange mechanism which is proportional to Planck’s constant. This may be the result of two massless bosons (hypergluons) coupled by a preon (prequark) exchange. It also gives a physical explanation to the origin of the Planck constant, and origin of spin.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)was the term first used to describe hepatic steatosis in patients with the metabolic syndrome who did not consume excess amounts of *** liver disease(ALD)has many similarities to NAFLD in both pathogenesis and *** entity is now the most prevalent chronic liver disease worldwide as a consequence of the epidemic of *** to incorporate the importance of the metabolic syndrome in the development of steatosis resulted in the renaming of NAFLD as metabolic-associated fatty liver *** new term,however,has the disadvantage of the use of terms that may be perceived as *** terms fatty and non-alcoholic have negative connotations in many *** addition,non-alcoholic is not usually a term applicable to pediatric cases of hepatic ***,an international collaborative effort,with participants from 56 countries,after a global consultation process,recommended to change the nomenclature to steatotic liver disease-including metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease,metabolic-associated steatohepatitis and metabolic dysfunction-associated *** new terminology is consistent with most of the previously published epidemiological studies and will have a major impact on research into diagnosis,prognosis and treatment.

Planck’s Constant—A Result of Two Strings Coupling

The existence of strings has not yet been proven, but if a fermion is considered as being made up of two coupled strings, then the coupling between these two strings creates tension in the strings, and this tension is proportional to the coupling force via the Planck constant. This provides an explanation for the origin of the Planck constant.

Gravitation, Density, Black Holes and Spatial Quantization

Making use of Newton’s classical shell theorem, the Schwarzschild metric is modified. This removes the singularity at r = 0 for a standard object (not a black hole). It is demonstrated how general relativity evidently leads to quantization of space-time. Both classical and quantum mechanical limits on density give the same result. Based on Planck’s length and the assumption that density must have an upper limit, we conclude that the lower limit of the classical gravitation theory by Einstein is related to the Planck length, which is a quantum phenomenon posed by dimensional analysis of the universal constants. The Ricci tensor is considered under extreme densities (where Kretschmann invariant = 0) and a solution is considered for both outside and inside the object. Therefore, classical relativity and the relationship between the universal constants lead to quantization of space. A gedanken experiment of light passing through an extremely dense object is considered, which will allow for evaluation of the theory.

D Dimensions and N ×N Matrix Representations of Fermions

The connection between the number of dimensions and the size of the representation matrices in the Dirac equation has been discussed thoroughly and the restriction N2 = 2D was derived. In this summary, the result is brought again, this time with emphasis on the importance of irreducibility of the representations. As a counter example, the case of the neutrino is discussed where the above restriction does not hold, indicating that the Dirac equation, in this case, is reducible.

Predicting accurate cathode properties of layered oxide materials using the SCAN meta-GGA density functional

Layered lithium intercalating transition metal oxides are promising cathode materials for Li-ion ***,we scrutinize the recently developed strongly constrained and appropriately normed(SCAN)density functional method to study structural,magnetic,and electrochemical properties of prototype cathode materials LiNiO_(2),LiCoO_(2),and LiMnO_(2) at different Li-intercalation *** show that SCAN outperforms earlier popular functional combinations,providing results in considerably better agreement with experiment without the use of Hubbard parameters,and dispersion corrections are found to have a small *** particular,SCAN fares better than Perdew–Burke–Ernzerhof(PBE)functional for the prediction of band-gaps and absolute voltages,better than PBE+U for the electronic density of states and voltage profiles,and better than both PBE and PBE+U for electron densities and in operando lattice *** overall better performance of SCAN may be ascribed to improved treatment of localized states and a better description of short-range dispersion interactions.

Effect of ezetimibe on the prevalence of cholelithiasis

AIM:To investigate the prevalence of cholelithiasis among patients treated with ***:A retrospective,case-control study based on computerized medical records from patients of the Clalit Health Services,Sharon-Shomron region,from 2000 to *** 20-85 years of age,who had been treated with ezetimibe and statins or statins only for at least 6 mo,and who had an abdominal ultrasound were included in the *** data included age,gender,ezetimibe treatment duration,presence of hypothyroidism or diabetes,and existence of cholelithiasis as determined by *** were subjects after gallbladder resection,with hemolysis,myeloproliferative or inflammatory bowel diseases,and those treated with ursodeoxycholic acid and *** treated with statins and ezetimibe(study group) were compared to patients treated with statins only(control group).RESULTS:The study group included 25 patients and the control group *** patients in the study were treated with *** study group included 13 males(52%) and 12 females(48%),the control group 76 males(45%) and 92(55%) females(P = 0.544).The groups did not differ in age(mean age:68 ± 8 years,range 53-85 years vs mean age:71 ± 8 years,range 51-85 years;P = 0.153) or in the rate of diabetic and hypothyroid patients [11(44%) vs 57(33%),P = 0.347 in the study group and 5(20%) vs 23(14%),P = 0.449 in the control group,respectively].Patients in the study group were treated with ezetimibe for an average of 798 ± 379 *** was found in 4(16%) patients in the study group and in 33(20%) patients in the control group(P = 0.666).CONCLUSION:Ezetimibe does not appear to influence the prevalence of gallstones.
