Overpressure origins and evolution in deep-buried strata:A case study of the Jurassic Formation,central Junggar Basin,western China

Overpressure is significant to the exploration and exploitation of petroleum due to its influence on hydrocarbon accumulation and drilling strategies.The deep-burial hydrocarbon reservoirs of Jurassic strata in the central Junggar Basin are characterized by intensive overpressure,whose origins are complex and still unclear.In this study,Bowers'method and sonic velocity-density crossplot method based on well logging data were used as a combination for overpressure judgements in geophysics.Furthermore,the corresponding geological processes were analysed in quality and quantity to provide a rational comprehension of the overpressure origins and the model of overpressure evolution and hy-drocarbon accumulation processes.The results showed that hydrocarbon generation in the Jurassic source rocks led to overpressure in the mudstones,while hydrocarbon generation in Permian source rocks led to overpressure in the sandstone reservoirs in Jurassic strata by vertical pressure transfer.The burial and thermal history indicated that the aquathermal effect of pore fluids by temperature increase in deep strata is also an important origin of overpressure,while disequilibrium compaction may not be the dominant cause for the overpressure in deep-buried strata.Furthermore,the continuous tectonic compression in both the north-south and west-east trends from the Jurassic period to the present may also have enhanced the overpressure in deep strata.Meanwhile,the developed faults formed by intensive tectonic compression led to pressure transfer from source rocks to the Jurassic reservoirs.Overpressured geofluids with hydrocarbons migrated to sandstone reservoirs and aggravated the over-pressure in the Jurassic strata.To conclude,the intensive overpressure in the central Junggar Basin is attributed to the combination of multiple mechanisms,including hydrocarbon generation,the aqua-thermal effect,tectonic compression and pressure transfer.Furthermore,the developed overpressure indicated hydrocarbon migration and accumulation processes and

Fabrication and magnetic properties of NiFe-ZnO nano-granular films

Excellent soft magnetic and high frequency prop- erties were obtained successfully in the （Ni75Fe25）x（ZnO）1-x granular films fabricated on the glass substrate by RF magnetron oblique sputtering. The microstructure, mag- netic and high frequency properties were investigated systematically. High resolution transmission electron micrographs show that the film consists of fcc Ni75Fe25 particles uniformly embedded in an amorphous insulating matrix ZnO with particle size a few nanometers. The （Ni75Fe25）x（ZnO）1-x films exhibit excellent soft magnetic properties in a widex range from 0.50 to 0.80 with coer- civity not exceeding 5 × 10^-4 T, which is ascribed to the exchange coupling between magnetic particles. Especially for the sample with x = 0.64, coercivities in hard and easy axes are 5.0 ×10^-5 and 3.6 × 10^-4 T, respectively, and the electric resistivity ρ reaches 1,790 μΩ.cm. The dependence of complex permeability u = u′- ju″on frequency f shows that the real part u′ is more than 130 below 500 MHz, and the ferromagnetic resonance fre- quency fr reaches 1.32 GHz, implying the promising for high frequency application.

Anti-OX40 Antibody Combined with HBc VLPs Delays Tumor Growth in a Mouse Colon Cancer Model

Objective Combination immunotherapy strategies targeting OX40,a co-stimulatory molecule that can enhance antitumor immunity by modulating the proliferation,differentiation,and effector function of tumor-infiltrating T cells,have attracted much attention for their excellent therapeutic effects.In this study,we aimed to evaluate the antitumor efficacy of combined anti-OX40 and hepatitis B core viruslike particles(HBc VLPs)therapy using a mouse colon cancer model.Methods Humanized B-h OX40 mice were injected subcutaneously with MC38 colon tumor cells and treated with HBc VLPs+anti-h OX40 antibody.Tumor growth was monitored.Flow cytometric analysis was performed to evaluate the populations of T cell subsets in the tumors.Results The combination of anti-OX40 with HBc VLPs resulted in a significant delay in tumor growth,suggesting that a potent antitumor immunity was induced by the combination therapy.Further studies revealed that HBc VLPs+anti-OX40 treatment induced a significant increase in effector T cells(Teffs)and a significant decrease in regulatory T cells(Tregs)in the tumor microenvironment(TME),which accounted for the synergistic antitumor effect of anti-OX40 in combination with HBc VLPs.Conclusion Combination therapy of anti-h OX40 and HBc VLPs provides synergistic antitumor activity in colon cancer-bearing mice,which may represent a potential design strategy for cancer immunotherapy.

Recent advances in promising drugs for primary prevention of gastroesophageal variceal bleeding with cirrhotic portal hypertension

Background:Gastroesophageal variceal bleeding is one of the most severe complications of patients with cirrhosis.Although primary prevention drugs,including non-selectiveβ-blockers,have effectively reduced the incidence of bleeding,their efficacy is limited due to side effects and related contraindications.With recent advances in precision medicine,precise drug treatment provides better treatment efficacy.Data sources:Literature search was conducted in PubMed,MEDLINE and Web of Science for relevant articles published up to May 2022.Information on clinical trials was obtained from https://clinicaltrials.gov/and http://***/.Results:The in-depth understanding of the pathogenesis and advances of portal hypertension has enabled the discovery of multiple molecular targets for promising drugs.According to the site of action,these drugs could be classified into four classes:intrahepatic,extrahepatic,both intrahepatic and extrahepatic targets and others.All these classes of drugs offer advantages over traditional treatments in prevention of gastroesophageal variceal bleeding in patients with cirrhotic portal hypertension.Conclusions:This review classified and summarized the promising drugs,which prevent gastroesophageal variceal bleeding by targeting specific markers of pathogenesis of portal hypertension,demonstrating the significance of using the precision medicine strategy to discover and develop promising drugs for the primary prevention of gastroesophageal variceal bleeding in patients with cirrhotic portal hypertension.

On hypersurfaces of H2×H2

In this paper, we study hypersurfaces of H2× H2. We first classify the hypersurfaces with constant principal curvatures and constant product angle functions. Then we classify homogeneous hypersurfaces and isoparametric hypersurfaces, respectively. Finally, we classify the hypersurfaces with at most two distinct constant principal curvatures, as well as those with three distinct constant principal curvatures under some additional conditions.

New clinical trial design in precision medicine:discovery,development and direction

In the era of precision medicine,it has been increasingly recognized that individuals with a certain disease are complex and different from each other.Due to the underestimation of the significant heterogeneity across participants in traditional"one-sizefits-all"trials,patient-centered trials that could provide optimal therapy customization to individuals with specific biomarkers were developed including the basket,umbrella,and platform trial designs under the master protocol framework.In recent years,the successive FDA approval of indications based on biomarker-guided master protocol designs has demonstrated that these new clinical trials are ushering in tremendous opportunities.Despite the rapid increase in the number of basket,umbrella,and platform trials,the current clinical and research understanding of these new trial designs,as compared with traditional trial designs,remains limited.The majority of the research focuses on methodologies,and there is a lack of in-depth insight concerning the underlying biological logic of these new clinical trial designs.Therefore,we provide this comprehensive review of the discovery and development of basket,umbrella,and platform trials and their underlying logic from the perspective of precision medicine.Meanwhile,we discuss future directions on the potential development of these new clinical design in view of the"Precision Pro","Dynamic Precision",and"Intelligent Precision".This review would assist trial-related researchers to enhance the innovation and feasibility of clinical trial designs by expounding the underlying logic,which be essential to accelerate the progression of precision medicine.

Ferroptosis is a novel form of regulated cell death characterized by iron-dependent excessive lipid peroxidation.The core organelle involved in ferroptosis is mitochondria.Mito-chondria undergoing ferroptosis are distinct from normal mitochondria in terms of morphology,biochemistry,gene expression,and energy metabolism.An increasing number of studies have shown that mitochondria and their associated metabolic pathways mediate ferroptosis in the development and progression of breast cancer.In this review,we discuss the relevant research about ferroptosis in breast cancer and provide a comprehensive summary of mitochondrial regulation in ferroptosis from the perspective of lipid metabolism,oxidative phosphorylation,ion metabolism,glycometabolism,and nucleotide metabolism.We also summarize the appli-cation of mitochondrial metabolism-related pathways as ferroptosis treatment targets.Here we provide new insights into the relationship between mitochondria,ferroptosis,and breast cancertreatment.

Exercise promotes osteogenic differentiation by activating the long non-coding RNA H19/microRNA-149 axis

BACKGROUND Regular physical activity during childhood and adolescence is beneficial to bone development,as evidenced by the ability to increase bone density and peak bone mass by promoting bone formation.AIM To investigate the effects of exercise on bone formation in growing mice and to investigate the underlying mechanisms.METHODS 20 growing mice were randomly divided into two groups:Con group(control group,n=10)and Ex group(treadmill exercise group,n=10).Hematoxylin-eosin staining,immunohistochemistry,and micro-CT scanning were used to assess the bone formation-related indexes of the mouse femur.Bioinformatics analysis was used to find potential miRNAs targets of long non-coding RNA H19(lncRNA H19).RT-qPCR and Western Blot were used to confirm potential miRNA target genes of lncRNA H19 and the role of lncRNA H19 in promoting osteogenic differentiation.RESULTS Compared with the Con group,the expression of bone morphogenetic protein 2 was also significantly increased.The micro-CT results showed that 8 wk moderate-intensity treadmill exercise significantly increased bone mineral density,bone volume fraction,and the number of trabeculae,and decreased trabecular segregation in the femur of mice.Inhibition of lncRNA H19 significantly upregulated the expression of miR-149 and suppressed the expression of markers of osteogenic differentiation.In addition,knockdown of lncRNA H19 significantly downregulated the expression of autophagy markers,which is consistent with the results of autophagy-related protein changes detected in mouse femurs by immunofluorescence.CONCLUSION Appropriate treadmill exercise can effectively stimulate bone formation and promote the increase of bone density and bone volume in growing mice,thus enhancing the peak bone mass of mice.The lncRNA H19/miR-149 axis plays an important regulatory role in osteogenic differentiation.

Valine is an essential amino acid and a type of branched-chain amino acid. Due to the involvement of branchedchain amino acids in various metabolic pathways, there has been a surge of interests in valine nutrition and its role in animal physiology. In pigs, the interactions between valine and other branched-chain amino acids or aromatic amino acids are complex. In this review, we delve into the interaction mechanism, metabolic pathways, and biological functions of valine. Appropriate valine supplementation not only enhances growth and reproductive performances, but also modulates gut microbiota and immune functions. Based on past observations and interpretations, we provide recommended feed levels of valine for weaned piglets, growing pigs, gilts, lactating sows, barrows and entire males. The summarized valine nutrient requirements for pigs at different stages offer valuable insights for future research and practical applications in animal husbandry.

Causal role of immune cells in obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome:Mendelian randomization study

BACKGROUND Despite being one of the most prevalent sleep disorders,obstructive sleep apnea hypoventilation syndrome(OSAHS)has limited information on its immunologic foundation.The immunological underpinnings of certain major psychiatric diseases have been uncovered in recent years thanks to the extensive use of genome-wide association studies(GWAS)and genotyping techniques using highdensity genetic markers(e.g.,SNP or CNVs).But this tactic hasn't yet been applied to OSAHS.Using a Mendelian randomization analysis,we analyzed the causal link between immune cells and the illness in order to comprehend the immunological bases of OSAHS.AIM To investigate the immune cells'association with OSAHS via genetic methods,guiding future clinical research.METHODS A comprehensive two-sample mendelian randomization study was conducted to investigate the causal relationship between immune cell characteristics and OSAHS.Summary statistics for each immune cell feature were obtained from the GWAS catalog.Information on 731 immune cell properties,such as morphologic parameters,median fluorescence intensity,absolute cellular,and relative cellular,was compiled using publicly available genetic databases.The results'robustness,heterogeneity,and horizontal pleiotropy were confirmed using extensive sensitivity examination.RESULTS Following false discovery rate(FDR)correction,no statistically significant effect of OSAHS on immunophenotypes was observed.However,two lymphocyte subsets were found to have a significant association with the risk of OSAHS:Basophil%CD33dim HLA DR-CD66b-(OR=1.03,95%CI=1.01-1.03,P<0.001);CD38 on IgD+CD24-B cell(OR=1.04,95%CI=1.02-1.04,P=0.019).CONCLUSION This study shows a strong link between immune cells and OSAHS through a gene approach,thus offering direction for potential future medical research.
