Introduction Antibiotic use for acute otitis media(AOM)is one of the major sources of antimicrobial ***,the effective minimal antibiotic duration for AOM remains ***,guidelines often recommend broad ranges(5-10 days)of antibiotic use,yet the clinical impact of such a wide window has not been *** We systematically searched PubMed/MEDLINE,Embase,Scopus,Web of Science,and Cochrane Library from database inception to 6 October *** meta-analysis was conducted on randomized controlled trials that assessed antibiotic treatment for AOM in children(PROSPERO CRD42020196107).Results For amoxicillin and amoxicillin-clavulanate,7-day regimens were noninferior to 10-day regimens in clinical responses[amoxicillin:risk ratio(RR)0.919(95%CI 0.820-1.031),amoxicillin-clavulanate:RR 1.108(0.957-1.282)],except for≤2 *** the third-generation cephalosporins,7-day and 10-day regimens had similar clinical responses compared to placebo[7-day:RR 1.420(1.190-1.694),10-day:RR 1.238(1.125-1.362)compared to placebo].However,5-day regimens of amoxicillin-clavulanate and third-generation cephalosporins were inferior to 10-day *** to amoxicillin,a shorter treatment duration was tolerable with *** Our findings indicated that 1O days of antibiotic use may be unnecessarily long,while the treatment duration should be longer than 5 ***,5-day regimens would be sufficient for a modest treatment *** findings revealed that the current wide range of recommended antibiotic durations may have influenced the clinical outcome of AOM,and a narrower antibiotic duration window should be re-established.

Background The exact influence of the COVID-19 pandemic on sexual intercourse and usage of contraception remains largely uncharted *** bridge this gap in knowledge,we conducted a comprehensive,cross-sectional examination of long-term trends in the prevalence of sexual intercourse and usage of contraception among South korean adolescents from 2006 to *** In our research,we drew upon data encompassing 1,138,799 South korean adolescents aged 12 to 18 years,derived from the korean Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey(kYRBS)over a period spanning from 2006 to *** focused on the prevalence of sexual intercourse,contraception utilization,and the underlying associated factors among this *** kYRBS data was collected using a complex sampling strategy to determine the national prevalence estimates and shifts in prevalence before(2006-2019)and during(2020-2022)the COVID-19 pandemic *** During the pre-pandemic period,a decrease in adolescent sexual intercourse was observed(6.34%in 2006,5.53%in 2012,and 5.87%in 2019).However,in the post-pandemic period(2020-2022),there was a surge in sexual intercourse(4.55%in 2020 and 6.20%in 2022).This evident alteration in sexual intercourse trajectory between pre-and post-pandemic periods was statistically significant[βdiff,0.950;95%confidence interval(CI),0.756-1.144].Regarding contraceptive use among South korean adolescents,there was an increase in the pre-COVID-19 pandemic phase across all demographic segments(14.61%in 2006,22.30%in 2012,and 47.69%in 2022)but a notable decline when compared with the pre-and post-pandemic periods(βdiff,-0.319;95%CI,-0.454 to-0.184).Additionally,during the study period,a decrease in sexual intercourse was observed in the pre-pandemic period(β,-0.129;95%CI,-0.148 to-0.110),followed by an increase in the post-pandemic period(β,0.821;95%CI,0.627 to 1.014).This shift is highlighted by an effect size of 0.96[weighted odds ratio(wOR);95%CI,0.92 to 1.00],indicating a subst

目的研究视频反馈教学方法在口腔修复牙体预备实践教学中的应用效果。方法研究于2022年12月至2023年3月在第四军医大学口腔医院教学中心虚拟仿真中心进行。选取即将进入临床实习的第四军医大学口腔医学专业2020级本科生30名,采用随机数字表法分为研究组和对照组,每组15名。研究组与对照组学生分别采用视频反馈教学方法和传统教学方法进行口腔修复牙体预备专项集中培训。2组学生于培训前后在仿真头颅模型上完成上颌中切牙全冠修复牙体预备操作考核,比较2组操作体位评分(分值越低提示体位越佳)和牙体预备形态评分(分值越高提示预备效果越好)。考核结束后研究组学生匿名填写视频反馈教学方法效果调查问卷。结果培训前,研究组与对照组的牙体预备形态评分、操作体位评分比较,差异均无统计学意义(均P>0.05)。培训后,2组牙体预备形态评分均较培训前显著提高,操作体位评分均较培训前显著降低,且研究组操作体位评分[(17.73±2.12)分]较对照组[(19.80±1.86)分]更低,差异均有统计学意义(均P <0.05);但2组牙体预备形态评分比较,差异无统计学意义(t=-0.507,P=0.616)。考核结束后对研究组学生进行问卷调查发现,学生对视频反馈教学方法评分较高,各项评分均在4分以上;尤其在提高教学活动中注意力、愿意采用该方法进行实践训练课学习方面评分较高。结论与传统教学方法相比,应用视频反馈教学方法于口腔修复牙体预备实践教学中可更好地规范操作体位,具有较高评价反馈,值得进一步探究和应用。

A Nearly Analytic Discrete Method for One-dimensional Unsteady Convection-dominated Diffusion Equations

In this paper, a nearly analytic discretization method for one-dimensional linear unsteady convection-dominated diffusion equations and viscous Burgers’ equation as one of the nonlinear equation is considered. In the case of linear equations, we find the local truncation error of the scheme is O(τ 2 + h4) and consider the stability analysis of the method on the basis of the classical von Neumann’s theory. In addition, the nearly analytic discretization method for the one-dimensional viscous Burgers’ equation is also constructed. The numerical experiments are performed for several benchmark problems presented in some literatures to illustrate the theoretical results. Theoretical and numerical results show that our method is to be higher accurate and nonoscillatory and might be helpful particularly in computations for the unsteady convection-dominated diffusion problems.

Optimization of image capturing method of wear particles for condition diagnosis of machine parts

Wear particles are inevitably occurred from moving parts, such as a piston-cylinder made from steel or hybrid materials. And a durability of these parts must be evaluated. The wear particle analysis has been known as a very effective method to foreknow and decide a moving situation and a damage of machine parts by using the digital computer image processing. But it is not laid down to calculate shape parameters of wear particle and wear volume. In order to apply image processing method in a durability evaluation of machine parts, it needs to verify the reliability of the calculated data by the image processing and to lay down the number of images and the amount of wear particles in one image. In this work, the lubricated friction experiment was carried out in order to establish the optimum image capture with the 1045 specimen under experiment condition. The wear particle data were calculated differently according to the number of image and the amount of wear particle in one image. The results show that capturing conditions need to be more than 140 wear particles in one image and over 40 images for the reliable data. Thus, the capturing method of wear particles images was optimized for condition diagnosis of machine moving parts.

Visible-light Photochromism of Phosphomolybdic Acid/ZnO Composite

A novel photochromic hybrid ZnO was synthesized by doping with phosphomolybdic acid（PMoA）. It could respond to visible light and fade in color when treated with hydrogen peroxide（H2O2）. The microstlucture and photochromic properties were investigated via X-ray diffraction（XRD）, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy（FTIR）, scanning electron microscopy（SEM）, transmission electron microscopy（TEM）, ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy（UV-Vis） and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy（XPS）. The XRD patterns show that the prepared ZnO is pure and has a hexagonal wurtzite structure. The FTIR results demonstrate the existence of a strong interaction between PMoA and ZnO. Due to PMoA doping, the rough surface morphology of ZnO became smooth, as verified by the SEM images. The TEM images illustrate that pure ZnO exhibits a polycrystalline structure with irregular morphology PMoA was wrapped on the surface of ZnO. After visible-light irradiation, the composite changed from slight yellow to blue and returned to the original color in the presence of H2O2. The composite had good photosensitivity and photochromic reversibility. The photochromic process was in accord with photoinduced electrons transfer mechanism.
