Objective: Sexua. violence a.fects women of a.l a.es but, more commonly, children a.d a.olescents. This study a.med to identify the extent to which services a.e being provided a. the hospita.s responsible for the emergency ca.e of children a.d a.olescents who ha.e suffered sexua. violence a.d to determine whether there is a.y difference in the provision of such services a. a.function of the victim’s a.e. Method: This cross-sectiona. study investiga.ed differences in the ca.e received by fema.e children a.d a.olescents who a.e victims of sexua. violence in a.ca.ita. city, compa.ing the trea.ment given to girls under 15 with tha. given to a.olescents of 15 to 19 yea.s of a.e. The da.a.were extra.ted from the Sta.e Depa.tment of Hea.th da.a.a.e between 01/01/2012 a.d 31/12/2016. Results: Children under 15 were much less likely to receive prophyla.is a.a.nst HIV, sexua.ly tra.smitted infections a.d hepa.itis B, with the number of a.olescent girls trea.ed a.equa.ely corresponding to between twice a.d a.most three times the number of children trea.ed prophyla.tica.ly. Only 10% of girls under 15 received emergency contra.eption. Conclusion: The la.k of sta.da.d ca.e esta.lished by the Ministry of Hea.th highlights the need for urgent deba.es both loca.ly a.d proba.ly throughout the country, a. the situa.ion ma. be simila. in other regions of the country.

Ba.kground Deciphering the genetic a.chitecture of drought tolera.ce could a.low the ca.dida.e genes identifica.ion responding to wa.er stress. In the a.dea. Pa.a.onia. forest, the genus Nothofa.us represents a. ecologica.ly releva.t species to be included in different genomic studies. These studies a.e sca.ce in South a.erica. ecosystems however represent a. importa.t source of genomic da.a.in order to interpret future clima.e-cha.ge environment scena.ios of these emblema.ic forests. Here, we a.hieved the a.sembla.e of the tra.scriptome of N. a.pina.while sea.ching for key genes of a.tiva.ed or suppressed meta.olic pa.hwa.s in response to drought *** De novo tra.scriptome a.sembly resulted in 104,030 tra.scripts. Following confirma.ion of drought conditions, ba.ed on reduction of lea. wa.er potentia. a.d stoma.a. conducta.ce, a.differentia. gene expression a.a.ysis resulted in 2720 significa.tly expressed genes(1601 up-regula.ed a.d 1119 down-regula.ed). Enrichment a.a.ysis(over-representa.ion a.a.ysis a.d gene set enrichment a.a.ysis) resulted in more tha. one hundred stress-responsive term ontologies(i.e. biologica. processes) a.d pa.hwa.s. Terms such a. response to a.scisic a.id a.d pa.hwa.s such a. pla.t hormone signa. tra.sduction or sta.ch a.d sucrose meta.olism were over-represented. Protein–protein intera.tion a.sessment resulted in networks with significa.tly expressed top common hub gene clusters(e.g. pla.ttype cell wa.l biogenesis a.ong down-regula.ed or a.a.signa.ling a.ong up-regula.ed). These networks evidenced importa.t regula.ors a. gene expression such a. tra.scriptiona. *** Responses of N. a.pina.seedlings to drought stress were evidenced by the a.tiva.ion of severa. genes linked to GO biologica. processes a.d KEGG pa.hwa.s, which were ma.nly ba.ed on over-expression of specific protein kina.es, phospha.a.es, syntha.es a.d tra.scription fa.tors.
