The human striatum is essential for both lowand high-level functions and has been implicated in the pathophysiology of various prevalent disorders,including Parkinson's disease(PD)and schizophrenia(SCZ).It is known to consist of structurally and functionally divergent ***,previous parcellations are based on a single neuroimaging modality,leaving the extent of the multi-modal organization of the striatum ***,we investigated the organization of the striatum across three modalities—resting-state functional connectivity,probabilistic diffusion tractography,and structural covariance—to provide a holistic convergent view of its structure and *** found convergent clusters in the dorsal,dorsolateral,rostral,ventral,and caudal *** characterization revealed the anterior striatum to be mainly associated with cognitive and emotional functions,while the caudal striatum was related to action ***,significant structural atrophy in the rostral and ventral striatum was common to both PD and SCZ,but atrophy in the dorsolateral striatum was specifically attributable to *** study revealed a cross-modal convergent organization of the striatum,representing a fundamental topographical model that can be useful for investigating structural and functional variability in aging and in clinical conditions.

In this study,an electro-mechanical valve(EMV) system for the intake valve of a four stroke,single cylinder,overhead valve and spark ignition(SI) engine was designed and *** engine with the EMV system and a standard engine were tested to observe the effects of the EMV on engine performance and emissions at different speeds under full *** EMV engine showed improved engine power,engine torque and break specific fuel consumption(BSFC).A 66% decrease in CO emissions was also obtained with the EMV system,but hydrocarbons(HC) and NO x emissions increased by 12% and 13% respectively.

Congenital Frontal Mature Dermoid Cyst: A Case Report

Dermoid cysts are uncommon congenital or acquired developmental cystic malformations that were usually seen in the midline of frontal region and the anterior fontanel. Congenital forms develop from the remnants of the epithelium or ectodermal membranous bone growth line. We report here a case of a congenital frontal dermoid cyst that should be considered in the differential diagnosis of lipoma and neurofibroma. Dermoid cysts should be considered in the differential diagnosis of all nodular cyst-like lesions in the head and neck region. Early recognition and accurate diagnosis by means of Computerized Tomography scan or Magnetic Resonance Imaging facilitate successful treatment.

An overview is provided of CFDShip-Iowa modeling, numerical methods and high performance computing （HPC）, including both current V4.5 and V5.5 and next generation V6. Examples for naval architecture highlight capability and needs. High fidelity V6 simulations for ocean engineering and fundamental physics describe increased resolution for analysis of physics of fluids. Uncertainty quantification research is overviewed as the first step towards development stochastic optimization.

0引言21世纪初,一个新的技术时代正式开启。许多互联网公司因网络泡沫而濒临破产之际,微控制器制造商却正忙于开发和推出新的产品线,这些产品的填充将不断扩展物联网的应用领域。到2010年,微控制器已经在全世界的专业工程师、学生,以及创作者和艺术家中间得到广泛的推广。早在2000年之前,微处理器就被用于几乎所有涉及电子领域的工程中。一个微处理器只由中央处理器(CPU)组成,如果没有几个外部设备支持模块(如程序和数据存储器、时钟电路、I/O和中断模块),它是没有用的。在一个典型的基于微处理器的应用中,可能需要四五个这样的外部模块(见图1)。基于微处理器的系统的缺点是总功耗相当高,每个外部模块都有大量的引脚,因此几乎不可能在试验板上连接和测试这样的系统。例如,存储器芯片的接口是使用由许多导线组成的地址和数据总线来完成的。

Botulinum Toxin-A for the Treatment of Voiding Dysfunction: Our Initial Experience

Objective: Evaluation of Botulinum Toxin-A (BTX-A) as an alternative treatment option in patients whom previous treatments were failed. Methods: Between March 2005 and September 2006, a total 19 patients;16 patients with overactive bladder (5 neurologic, 11 idiopathic), 2 with nocturnal enuresis, 1 with interstitial cystitis, intravesical BTX-A injection was applied. Except one patient, 18 patients with a median age 46 (20 - 80) were registered to the study. Patients were examined at postoperative 3 weeks and 6 months with ICIQ-SF (International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire-Short Form) and satisfaction forms used in our clinic. Results: The median follow-up time was 16 months (6 - 18). When evaluated according to diagnosis, symptoms were improved 100% in neurologic overactive bladder (5/5), 80% in idiopathic overactivity (8/10), 50% in nocturnal enuresis (1/2). In one patient with interstitial cystitis there was no improvement. Median efficiency time of BTX-A treatment was 6 months (1 - 17). At 3 weeks and 6 months after the treatment, ICIQ-SF score was decreased to 3.6 and 7.5 respectively from preoperative level of 18.7. Quality of life scores at preoperative, 3 week and 6 months were 9.7, 2.7 and 4.3 respectively. Except 3 patients with overactive neurologic bladder because of spinal cord injury, symptoms of patients with pollacuria and nocturia decreased at 3. week. Even if these rates increased at 6 months they still were significantly less than preoperative status. The spinal cord injured 3 patients had clean intermittent catheterization per 1 hour and had urinary incontinence between the catheterizations preoperatively, however at 3 weeks and 6 months the intervals of catheterisations was 4 hours and 3 hours respectively and also the urinary incontinance between the catheterisations improved.
