卵母细胞单精子显微注射后卵母细胞退化:多因素分析评估其作为实验室或临床标记的重要性

Objective:Oocyte degeneration has historically been associated with the intracytoplasmic sperm injection(ICSI) technique. We sought to determine whether oocyte degeneration rates were associated with the technician performing the procedure,the baseline chara.t.ristics of the patient,and/or ovarian stimulation variables. We also evaluated whether the degeneration rate could serve as a surrogate marker for impla.t.tion potential. Design:Cohort study. Setting:Academic medical center. Patient(s):Couples undergoing ICSI. Intervention(s):Six thousand six hundred fifty-three injected oocytes were analyzed to determine whether the degeneration rate was technician dependent. two hundred thirty first-entry down-regulated cycles were examined to identify predictors associated with oocyte degeneration. Multivariate analyses were performed using generalized linear model routines. Main Outcome Measure(s):Oocyte degeneration rates and impla.t.tion rates. Result(s):Neither the ICSI technician nor the stripping technician was associated with the oocyte degeneration rate. However,the day 3 FSH,number of mature oocytes retrieved,and E2 levels on the day of hCG were significa.t.independent predictors of degeneration rate. Physician-adjustable ovarian stimulation variables were not associated with the degeneration rate. the degeneration rate did not appear to be associated with the impla.t.tion rate. Conclusion(s):these data suggest that oocyte degeneration is not technician or physician dependent. Degeneration is likely a function of the inherent oocyte quality in women who underwent ovarian stimulation. However,the remaining cohort of retrieved oocytes appears to be unaffected by virtue of an uncompromised impla.t.tion rate.

A Novel Indirect Parabolic Solar Cooker

the continuous increase in global demand and cost of electricity are some of the reasons that solar cooking has received much a.t.ntion recently. Another fa.t.r which has also contributed to the acceptance of solar cookers is global campaigns against a.t.ons that contribute to climate change. Various types of solar cookers are currently in existence, these are box, panel and parabolic cookers. Some solar cookers only function when the cooking section is placed under direct sunshine, while others have been modified to cook without directly exposing their cooking section to the sun. Most solar cookers face similar challenges, and these include, exposure of users to sun, inability to function at night or when there is no sunshine, low utilization efficiency and technical complexities. this report presents an indirect parabolic cooker that eliminates the identified solar cooker challenges. the cooker uses a parabolic reflector to focus the sun rays to a frustum shaped receiver that was placed at its focus. the cooker has an insulated cooking/heat storage tank which was separated from the dish and cavity receiver system. the heat transfer fluid was distributed through the system with the aid of high temperature flexible hoses. Several cooking tests including water boiling and pancake baking were done, an extensive analysis of cooking based on the international testing procedures for solar cookers was also carried out. this solar cooker had a utilization efficiency of 39%, an overall calculated exergy efficiency of 0.05% and an average chara.t.ristic boiling time of approximately 13 minutes/kg. the manufa.t.red solar cooker in this study was used for family cooking.

Misfoldedα-synudein is a major component of Lewy bodies,which are a hallmark of Parkinson's disease(PD).A large body of evidence shows thatα-synuclein can aggregate into amyloid fibrils,but the relationship between a-synuclein self-assembly and Lewy body formation remains ***,we show,both in vitro and in a Caenorhabditis elegans model of PD,thatα-synuclein undergoes liquid-liquid phase separation by forming a liquid droplet state,which converts into an amyloid-rich hydrogel with Lewy-body-like *** maturation process towards the amyloid state is delayed in the presence of model syna.t.c vesicles in *** together,these results suggest that the formation of Lewy bodies may be linked to the arrested maturation ofα-synuclein condensates in the presence of lipids and other cellular components.

Screening Effects on van der Waals Interactions

Van der Waals intera.t.ons are ubiquitous in the world, and have been recognized as critical to most importa.t.properties of natural ma.t.rs including proteins and DNA(deoxyribonucleic acid). In chemical and biochemical envi ronments,mode rn empirical app ro aches like Grimme ’s D3 method allow for fa.t.evaluation of these forces in electronic-structure calculations. However, this and related methods are based on London’s approximation to the van der Waa ls force as arising from pairwise-additive atomic fluctuations and polarizations. Recently,the dobson classification was introduced to understand the shortcomings of such approaches, shortcomings pa.t.cularly releva.t.for low-dimensional molecules and conductors such as graphene, C, large aromatic molecules, and nanotubes. An importa.t.experimental chara.t.risation of non-additive effects was the recent demonstration the placing a graphene layer between a silica substrate and silica AFM tip switches off the van der Waals inter a.t.on between tip and substrate through a Faraday-cage screening effect. We develop computational models to understand this effect, comparing the pairwise-additive D3 method to the popular many-bond dispersion(MBD) method for treating screening, and a new method developed by Gould to include and improve not only these contributions but also those from long-range fluctuations(related to the Casimir effect).

四川武隆地区的p/t界线为一化石丰富、沉积连续的海相碳酸盐剖面。通过对岩石磁学的研究,鉴别出三叠系灰岩样品以磁铁矿为主,其中约70％为多畴磁铁矿。ChRM由单畴磁铁矿所携带。二叠系灰岩样品主要为单畴与超顺磁颗粒的磁铁矿,样品不同程度地遭受重磁化。然而,根据其退磁中NRM矢量变化的轨迹与极性有关,使确定绝大部分样品的极性成为可能。本文通过与国外剖面的对比,认为Illawarra反转起始于吴家坪阶上部,而Kiaman极性段中则存在着若干正向极性。

一、引言为了测试航天飞机成像雷达（SIR-B）对土壤湿度、地表粗糙度和作物冠层覆盖的响应效果,在伊利诺斯州中西部航天飞机升降覆盖带交迭处建立了一个试验场.1984年10月8日早晨6点30分和10月11日5点30分对试验场分别进行了两次升轨资料采集（注以49.2和97.2）.两次观测的入射角θ1都是30°,但方位角相差180°.该SIR-B资料已作了数字成像处理.

Formation of the Summertime Ozone Valley over the tibetan Plateau:the Asian Summer Monsoon and Air Column Variations

the summertime ozone valley over the tibetan Plateau is formed by two influences,the Asian summer monsoon（ASM） and air column *** ozone over the tibetan Plateau in summer was ～33 dobson units（DU） lower than zonal mean values over the ocean at the same latitudes during the study period *** observations of ozone profiles show that ozone concentrations over the ASM region have lower values in the upper troposphere and lower stratosphere（UtLS） than over the non-ASM *** is caused by frequent convective transport of low-ozone air from the lower troposphere to the UtLS region combined with trapping by the South Asian *** offset contributes to a ～20-DU deficit in the ozone column over the ASM *** addition,along the same latitude,total ozone changes identically with variations of the terrain height,showing a high correlation with terrain heights over the ASM region,which includes both the tibetan and Iranian *** is confirmed by the fa.t.that the tibetan and Iranian plateaus have very similar vertical distributions of ozone in the UtLS,but they have different terrain heights and different total-column ozone *** two fa.t.rs（lower UtLS ozone and higher terrain height） imply 40 DU in the lower-ozone column,but the tibetan Plateau ozone column is only ～33 DU lower than that over the non-ASM *** fa.t.suggests that the lower troposphere has higher ozone concentrations over the ASM region than elsewhere at the same latitude,contributing ～7 DU of total ozone,which is consistent with ozonesonde and satellite observations.

Societal biosecurity–measures built into everyday society to minimize risks from pests and diseases–is an importa.t.aspect of managing epidemics and *** aimed to identify societal options for reducing the transmission and spread of respiratory *** used SARS-CoV-2(severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2)as a case study to meet the immediate need to manage the COVID-19 pandemic and eventually transition to more normal societal conditions,and to catalog options for managing similar pandemics in the *** used a‘solution scanning’*** read the literature;consulted psychology,public hea.t.,medical,and solution scanning experts;crowd-sourced options using social media;and collated comments on a ***,we present a list of 519 possible measures to reduce SARS-CoV-2 transmission and *** provide a long list of options for policymakers and businesses to consider when designing biosecurity plans to combat SARS-CoV-2 and similar pathogens in the *** also developed an online application to help with this *** encourage testing of a.t.ons,documentation of outcomes,revisions to the current list,and the addition of further options.
