Labisia pumila(Kacip fatimah)is a popular medicinal plant in *** constituents of this plant have been reported to possess anticancer,antioxidant and anti-inflammatory *** growth and production of *** is greatly influenced by the plant water *** techniques to measure plant water status are generally based on the plant soil moisture,which apparently did not indicate the real water content inside the *** are other techniques to measure directly on the plant such as based on leaf water potential(LWP)and relative water content(RWC).However,these techniques are destructive and time *** this study,four levels of evapotranspiration replacement(ER)treatment which were 100%ER,75%ER,50%ER and 25%ER was applied to 30 polybags of *** *** plant water status was measured using an impedance spectroscopy technique.A pair of electrocardiogram(ECG)electrode connected to an impedance analyzer board was used to measure the impedance value of the leaf samples *** water status parameters such as LWP,RWC,volumetric moisture content(VMC),and leaf thickness were measured using standard *** results show that after 20 weeks of treatment,25%ER had the highest impedance value ranged from 0.10 MX to 0.15 MX at the frequency of 70–100 *** resistance of 100%ER at 20 weeks of treatment increased from 0.70 kX to 1.23 kX as the reactance decreased from 0.51 kX to 0.28 ***,the resistance of 25%ER increased from 1 kX to 1.10 kX as the reactance decreased from 0.88 kX to 0.83 *** polynomial regression of impedance measurements with plant water status parameters(VMC,leaf thickness,LWP and RWC)shows that LWP and RWC had the highest R2(0.78,0.73).The results show that impedance measurement technique is auspicious to evaluate plant water status.

Industry 4.0 is expected to play a crucial role in improving energy management and personnel performance in power *** performance problem in maintaining power plants is the result of both human errors,human factors and the poor implementation of automation in energy *** problem can potentially be solved using artificial intelligence(AI)and an integrated management system(IMS).This article investigates the current challenges to improving personnel and energy management performance in power plants,identifies the critical success factors(CSFs)for an integrated intelligent framework,and develops an intelligent framework that enables power plants to improve *** theoretical basis is founded on a systematic literature review to locate 110 out of 3108 papers studied carefully to examine the performance architecture that best enables effective *** findings from this literature review are combined with expert judgment and the big data advantages of AI applications to develop an intelligent *** are collected from a power plant in *** ensure the reliability of the proposed model,various hypotheses are tested using structural equation *** results confirm that the measurement model is acceptable,and that the hypotheses are supported and significant.A case study demonstrates the strong relationship and significance between big data of performance and the *** is hoped that this model will be adopted to enable performance improvement in power plants.

Novel Approach to Energy Management via Performance Shaping Factors in Power Plants

The literature that a lack of integration between the performance shaping factors(PSFs)and the energy management performance(EMP)is one of the critical problems that prevent performance improvement and reduces the power plant’s *** solve this problem,this article aims to achieve two main objectives:(1)Systematically investigate and identify the critical success factors(CSFs)for integration with PSFs and EMP;(2)Develop a novel modelling approach to predict the performance of power plants based on innovative integrated *** research methodology is grounded on the theoretical and practical approach to improving *** Newcastle Ottawa Scale(NOS)was used to assess the quality of the literature that met the *** ensure the reliability and accuracy of the proposed model,the researchers developed a hypothesis and evaluated the CSFs via a case study in the Iraqi power *** findings of this study succeeded in developing a novel modeling approach to predict the performance by integrating the CSFs of both the PSFs and EMP to increase the positive interaction and energy efficiency of power *** results confirmed the validity of the selected hypotheses and verified the positive and important relationship with the success and improvement of the performance in power ***,the lack of consistency and balance in the current studies indicates that the performance strategy in power plants did not receive sufficient attention and needs further investigations.

This paper proposes a new dielectric resonator antenna(DRA)design that can generate circularly polarized(CP)triple-band *** CP DRA antenna fed by a probe feed system is achieved with metal strips structure on side of DRA *** design start with conventional rectangular DRA with F shaped metal strips on DRA structure alongside the ***,the F metal strip is enhanced by extending the length of the metal strip to obtain wider impedance *** improvement on the antenna performance is observed by improvised the conventional DRA *** method of removing part of DRA bottom resulted to higher antenna gain with triple band *** primary features of the proposed DRA include wide impedance matching bandwidth(BW)and broadband circular polarization(CP).The primary features of the proposedDRAinclude wide impedance matching bandwidth(BW)and broadband circular polarization(CP).The CP BW values recorded by the proposed antenna were∼11.27%(3.3–3.65 GHz),12.18%(4.17–4.69 GHz),and 1.74%(6.44–6.55 GHz)for impedance-matching BW values of 35.4%(3.3–4.69 GHz),1.74%(5.36–5.44 GHz),and 1.85%(6.41–6.55 GHz)with peak gains of 6.8 dBic,7.6 dBic,and 8.5 dBic,respectively,in the lower,central,and upper *** prototype of the proposed antenna geometry was fabricated and measured.A good agreement was noted between the simulated and the measured results.

Structural Restoration of Carbonate Platform in the Southern Part of Central Luconia, Malaysia

Carbonates of Central Luconia, Malaysia, had been serving as hydrocarbon reservoirs for more than 25 years. However, the relationship and impacts of extensive tectonic events to the growth of Miocene carbonates in Central Luconia have not been revealed sufficiently. In this work, two carbonates platforms in the southern part of Central Luconia were used for detailed interpretation and seismic based structural restoration. This work had provided new insight for the interpreta- tion of carbonate growth in Central Luconia and its association with the surrounding tectonic. This work suggested three possible tectonic evolutions from Late Oligocene to Pliocene are responsible for the growth of carbonates in Central Luconia. These stages are equivalent with pre-carbonate stage （Late Oligocene-Early Miocene）, syn-carbonate stage （Middle-Late Miocene） and post-carbonate stage （Pliocene）. Rifting of the South China Sea and subduction of proto-South China Sea are believed to be responsible for the development of faulting during pre-carbonate stage, while movement of the ancient Baram Line is thought to control the parallel striking direction of normal faults during syn- carbonate stage. Finally, subsidence and compaction due to the overburden clastic materials from the prograding deltas is considered as the main reason for the impacts of gravitational tectonics in this area, which corresponding to the post-carbonate stage.

The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)is characterized as a disease caused by a novel coronavirus known as severe acute respiratory coronavirus syndrome 2(SARS-CoV-2;formerly known as 2019-nCoV).In December 2019,COVID-19 began to appear in a few *** the beginning of 2020,it had spread to most countries across the *** is when education challenges began to *** COVID-19 crisis led to the closure of thousands of schools and universities all over the *** a situation requires reliance on e-learning and robotics education for students to continue their studies to avoid the mingling between people and *** relation to this alternative learning solution,the present study was conducted.A systematic literature review on educational robotics(ER)keywords between 2015–2020 was carried out for the purpose to review a total of 2253 articles from the selected sources;Scopus(452),Taylor&Francis(311),Science Direct(427),IEEE Xplore(221),and Web of Science(842).This review procedure was labelled as Taxonomy *** ltering Taxonomy 1,it was found that 98 scientic articles formed the so-called Taxonomy II that was categorized into six categories:(i)Robotics concepts,(ii)Device,(iii)Robotic applications,(iv)Manufacturing robots,(v)Robotics analysis,and(vi)Education/*** this study,only 35 articles in this specic eld were selected,of which were then assigned into three categories:(i)Application,(ii)Platform,and(iii)*** results show that the application category carries 17.4%,platform 20%,and education 22.85%.This study serves as the application platform to help students,academics,and researchers.

Influence of surface treatments on fatigue life of a two-stroke free piston linear engine component using random loading

This paper describes the finite element (FE) analysis technique to predict fatigue life using the narrow band frequency response approach. The life prediction results are useful for improving the component design methodology at the very early development stage. The approach is found to be suitable for a periodic loading but requires very large time records to accurately describe random loading processes. This paper is aimed at investigating the effects of surface treatments on the fatigue life of the free piston linear engine’s components. Finite element modelling and frequency response analysis were conducted using computer aided design and finite element analysis commercial codes, respectively. In addition, the fatigue life prediction was carried out using finite element based fatigue analysis commercial code. Narrow band approach was specially applied to predict the fatigue life of the free piston linear engine cylinder block. Significant variation was observed between the surface treatments and untreated cylinder block of free piston engine. The obtained results indicated that nitrided treatment yielded the longest life. This approach can determine premature products failure phenomena, and therefore can reduce time to market, improve product reliability and customer confidence.

Nephroprotective effects of Zingiber zerumbet Smith ethyl acetate extract against paracetamol-induced nephrotoxicity and oxidative stress in rats

Paracetamol (PCM) overdose can cause nephrotoxicity with oxidative stress as one of the possible mechanisms mediating the event. In this study, the effects of ethyl acetate extract of Zingiber zerumbet rhizome [200 mg per kg of body weight (mg/kg) and 400 mg/kg] on PCM-induced nephrotoxicity were examined. Rats were divided into five groups containing 10 rats each. The control group received distilled water while other groups were treated with extract alone (400 mg/kg), PCM alone (750 mg/kg), 750 mg/kg PCM+200 mg/kg extract (PCM+ 200-extract), and 750 mg/kg PCM+400 mg/kg extract (PCM+400-extract), respectively, for seven consecutive days. The Z. zerumbet extract was given intraperitoneally concurrent with oral administration of PCM. Treatment with Z. zerumbet extract at doses of 200 and 400 mg/kg prevented the PCM-induced nephrotoxicity and oxidative impairments of the kidney, as evidenced by a significantly reduced (P<0.05) level of plasma creatinine, plasma and renal malondialdehyde (MDA), plasma protein carbonyl, and renal advanced oxidation protein product (AOPP). Furthermore, both doses were also able to induce a significant increment (P<0.05) of plasma and renal levels of glutathione (GSH) and plasma superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity. The nephroprotective effects of Z. zerumbet extract were confirmed by a reduced intensity of renal cellular damage, as evidenced by histological findings. Moreover, Z. zerumbet extract administered at 400 mg/kg was found to show greater protective effects than that at 200 mg/kg. In conclusion, ethyl acetate extract of Z. zerumbet rhizome has a protective role against PCM-induced nephrotoxicity and the process is probably mediated through its antioxidant properties.

Objective:To evaluate a protective effect of Aristolochia gehrtii(***)leaves to inhibit liver toxicity and apoptosis in Schistosoma malayensis(***)***:Forty male albino mice were divided into four equal groups:group 1 control including noninfected healthy mice and groups 2,3&4 subcutaneously infected with *** cercariae where groups 3&4 pretreated with *** leaves(200 mg/kg,bwt)&cinnamoylamide(250mg/kg,bwt),***:*** caused a significant increase in serum AST,ALT,ALP,MDA,NO,bilirubin,urea,creatinine,total cholesterol,LDL,triglycerides,and HDL *** pretreatment of A,gehrtii leaves and cinnamoylamide significantly inhibited that *** the other hand,*** induced a significant decrease in serum total protein,albumin,globulin,albumin/globulin ratio,blood SOD and GPx,while *** leaves and cinnamoylamide pretreatment increased the above *** with *** leaves and cinnamoylamide to *** infected mice increased p53 expression but decreased *** results were supported by hislopalholqgical ***:*** inhibits liver toxicity and apoptosis in *** infection and this effect is associated with the major cinnamoylamide ingredient of *** leaves.
