The role of sub-continental lithosphere mantle in deep F and Cl cycling:Insight from the Dabeigou basalts,North China Craton

The sub-continental lithosphere mantle(SCLM)represents a mechanical barrier that separate the convecting mantle from the exosphere,and possesses the ability to sequester and release volatiles,making it an integral part in deep volatile *** we explore the SCLM in modulating F and Cl cycling through a case study from the Early Cretaceous Dabeigou basalts in the North China Craton(NCC).These lavas are associated with decratonization of the NCC,a process involving significant removal and replacement of the ancient *** Dabeigou basalts,characterized by arc magma-like trace element signatures,evolved initial^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr(0.70574–0.70578),ε_(Nd)(t)(-11.2–-11.1),andε_(Hf)(t)(-13.7–-13.4)values,along with high Fe/Mn ratios,Ni contents,andδ^(18)O values(5.8‰–6.8‰)of olivine phenocrysts,are compatible with their origination from a veined,pyroxene-rich source formed through the infiltration and interaction of hydrous silicate melts from the subducting Pacific slabs with ambient ***-hosted melt inclusions of the Dabeigou basalts have compositions similar to the whole rocks,indicating that they record pre-eruptive melt compositions forming the whole *** melt inclusions exhibit high F(1371–2316 ppm)and moderate Cl(688–900 ppm)contents,with high F/Cl ratios of 2.1±0.3(1σ).The F and Cl signatures of the Dabeigou basalts are different from those of typical arc magmas,which are commonly characterized by high Cl contents(median of~1200 ppm)and low F/Cl ratios(<1).The observed differences can be attributed to chromatographic reaction that fractionates elements of different compatibility in the metasomatic agents,with amphibole as the main mineral phase for fractionating and preserving F and *** is,amphibole crystallization prefers to retain F rather than Cl,making the metasomes in vein enriched in F and exhibiting elevated F/Cl ratios compared to original metasomatic *** is further suggested that the scenario inferred from the Dabeigou basalts mi

Value Assessment Method for the Grid-Alternative Energy Storage Based on Coordinated Planning Framework

As the development of new power systems accelerates and the impacts of high renewable energy integration and extreme weather intensify,grid-alternative energy storage is garnering increasing attention for its grid-interaction benefits and clear business ***,assessing the value of grid-alternative energy storage in the systemtransition has become critically *** the performance characteristics of storage,we propose a value assessment frame-work for grid-alternative energy storage,quantifying its non-wires-alternative effects from both cost and benefit *** on this,we developed a collaborative planning model for energy storage and transmission grids,aimed at maximizing the economic benefits of storage systems while balancing investment and operational *** model considers regional grid interconnections and their interactions with system *** participating in system operations,grid-alternative energy storage not only maximizes its own economic benefits but also generates social welfare transfer ***,based on multi-regional interconnected planning,grid-alternative energy storage can reduce system costs by approximately 35%,with the most significant changes observed in generation ***-regional coordinated planning significantly enhances the sys-tem’s flexibility in ***,when the load factor of interconnection lines between regions remains constant,system operational flexibility tends to decrease,leading to a roughly 28.9%increase in storage ***,under regional coordinated planning,the greater the disparity in wind power integration across interconnected regions,the more noticeable the reduction in system costs.

Enhanced oral drug delivery by mimicking natural amino acid and oligopeptide absorption route

Oral delivery of protein and peptide drugs presents considerable challenges due to their susceptibility to digestive enzymes in gastrointestinal(Gl)tract and low efficiency of transepithelial ***,inspired by efficient absorption of protein-based nutrients,we constructed several kinds of oral drug delivery systems by mimicking natural amino acid and oligopeptide absorption *** kinds of amino acids and two kinds of oligopeptides were chosen as targeting ligands to mediate transportation of orally administered nanoparticles(NPs).Liraglutide(Lira),a kind of glucagon like peptide-1(GLP-1)receptor agonist,was used as model *** functionalized NPs could protect Lira from enzymatic degradation in Gl ***,compared with amino acid-modified NPs,oligopeptide-modified NPs exhibited greater transepithelial transport efficiency and were primarily absorbed in the proximal small intestine due to the high expression and transportation mediated by proton coupled oligopeptide transporter 1(PEPT1).These Lira-loaded NPs could effectively control the blood glucose level,reduce plasma lipid level,and repair tissue damage on type 2 diabetic mice and even showed comparable hypoglycemic effects of subcutaneous injection(s.c.)free *** study demonstrates the potential of mimicking natural oligopeptide absorption route to enhance oral delivery of protein and peptide drugs.

Tuning the interfacial reaction environment via pH-dependent and induced ions to understand C–N bonds coupling performance in NO_(3)-integrated CO_(2)reduction to carbon and nitrogen compounds over dual Cu-based N-doped carbon catalyst

Dual atomic catalysts(DAC),particularly copper(Cu_(2))-based nitrogen(N)doped graphene,show great potential to effectively convert CO_(2)and nitrate(NO_(3)-)into important industrial chemicals such as ethylene,glycol,acetamide,and urea through an efficient catalytical process that involves C–C and C–N ***,the origin of the coupling activity remained unclear,which substantially hinders the rational design of Cu-based catalysts for the N-integrated CO_(2)reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR).To address this challenge,this work performed advanced density functional theory calculations incorporating explicit solvation based on a Cu_(2)-based N-doped carbon(Cu_(2)N_(6)C_(10))catalyst for CO_(2)*** calculations are aimed to gain insight into the reaction mechanisms for the synthesis of ethylene,acetamide,and urea via coupling in the interfacial reaction *** to the sluggishness of CO_(2),the formation of a solvation electric layer by anions(F^(-),Cl^(-),Br^(-),and I^(-))and cations(Na+,Mg^(2+),K+,and Ca^(2+))leads to electron transfer towards the Cu *** process significantly accelerates the reduction of CO_(2).These results reveal that*CO intermediates play a pivotal role in N-integrated CO_(2)***,the Cu_(2)-based N-doped carbon catalyst examined in this study has demonstrated the most potential for C–N coupling to *** findings reveal that through the process of a condensation reaction between*CO and NH_(2)OH for urea synthesis,*NO_(3)-is reduced to*NH_(3),and*CO_(2)to*CCO at dual Cu atom *** dual-site reduction facilitates the synthesis of acetamide through a nucleophilic reaction between NH_(3)and the ketene ***,we found that the I-and Mg^(2+)ions,influenced by pH,were highly effective for acetamide and ammonia synthesis,except when F-and Ca^(2+)were ***,the mechanisms of C–N bond formation were investigated via ab-initio molecular dynamics simulations,and we found that adjusti

A Multi-Condition Sequential Network Ensemble for Industrial Energy Storage Prediction Considering the Condition Switching Characteristics

As a crucial storage and buffering apparatus for balancing the production and consumption of byproduct gases in industrial processes, accurate prediction of gas tank levels is essential for optimizing energy system scheduling. Considering that the continuous switching of the pressure and valve status(mechanism knowledge) would bring about multiple working conditions of the equipment, a multi-condition time sequential network ensembled method is proposed. In order to especially consider the time dependence of different conditions, a centralwise condition sequential network is developed, where the network branches are specially designed based on the condition switching sequences. A branch combination transfer learning strategy is developed to tackle the sample imbalance problem of different condition data. Since the condition or status data are real-time information that cannot be recognized during the prediction process, a pre-trained and ensemble learning approach is further proposed to fuse the outputs of the multi-condition networks and realize a transient-state involved prediction. The performance of the proposed method is validated on practical energy data coming from a domestic steel plant, comparing with the state-of-the-art algorithms. The results show that the proposed method can maintain a high prediction accuracy under different condition switching cases, which would provide effective guidance for the optimal scheduling of the industrial energy systems.

Revealing the Role of Hydrogen in Highly Efficient Ag-Substituted CZTSSe Photovoltaic Devices:Photoelectric Properties Modulation and Defect Passivation

The presence of SnZn-related defects in Cu_(2)ZnSn(S,Se)_(4)(CZTSSe)absorber results in large irreversible energy loss and extra irreversible electron-hole non-radiative recombination,thus hindering the efficiency enhancement of CZTSSe *** the incorporation of Ag in CZTSSe can effectively suppress the SnZn-related defects and significantly improve the resulting cell performance,an excellent efficiency has not been achieved to date primarily owing to the poor electrical-conductivity and the low carrier density of the CZTSSe film induced by Ag ***,this study exquisitely devises an Ag/H co-doping strategy in CZTSSe absorber via Ag substitution programs followed by hydrogen-plasma treatment procedure to suppress SnZn defects for achieving efficient CZTSSe ***-depth investigation results demonstrate that the incorporation of H in Ag-based CZTSSe absorber is expected to improve the poor electrical-conductivity and the low carrier density caused by Ag ***,the C=O and O-H functional groups induced by hydrogen incorporation,serving as an electron donor,can interact with under-coordinated cations in CZTSSe material,effectively passivating the SnZn-related ***,the incorporation of an appropriate amount of Ag/H in CZTSSe mitigates carrier non-radiative recombination,prolongs minority carrier lifetime,and thus yields a champion efficiency of 14.74%,showing its promising application in kesterite-based CZTSSe devices.

The impact of the coupling relationship between projectile size and yarn dimension on the ballistic performance of plain weave fabric

Aramid fibers,due to their relatively high inter-yarn friction,high strength,high modulus,and other characteristics,have become a typical representative of flexible anti-ballistic materials in modern *** research on the anti-penetration of aramid fabrics mostly focuses unilaterally on the structure and performance of aramid fabrics or the shape and size of projectiles,with fewer studies on the coupled effect of both on ballistic *** study analyzes how the coupling relationship(or size effect)between the projectile and fiber bundle dimensions affects the fabric ballistic performance from a mesoscopic scale *** plain weave aramid fabric as the research object,considering different diameter projectiles,through a large number of ballistic impact tests and numerical simulations,parameters such as ballistic limit velocity,average energy absorption of fabric,and specific energy absorption ratio(average energy absorption of fabric divided by projectile cross-sectional area)are obtained for ballistic performance *** influence law of projectile size on the ballistic performance of high-performance fabrics is as follows:The relative range of fitted ballistic limit velocity at different target positions gradually decreases and then stabilizes as the projectile diameter increases,indicating that the fabric structure effect gradually disappears at a projectile diameter of 12 mm;The average ballistic limit velocity at three impact positions,P1,P2,and P3,provides the corresponding ballistic limit velocity for 1000D aramid fabric,which increases with projectile diameter but the rate of increase slows down at an inflection point,which in this study occurs where the fabric structure effect nearly disappears at a projectile diameter of 12 mm;The energy absorption ratio increases and then decreases as the projectile diameter increases from 4 mm to 20 mm,reaching a peak at the diameter of 12 mm due to the gradual disappearance of the fabri
