We evaluated the effect of hydrothermal pretreatments,i.e.,thermal hydrolysis(TH)and wet oxidation(WO)on sewage sludge to promote resource *** hydrothermal processes were performed under mild temperature conditions(140°C–180°C)in a high pressure *** reaction in acidic environment(pH=3.3)suppressed the formation of the color imparting undesirable Maillard’s *** oxidative conditions resulted in higher volatile suspended solids(VSS)reduction(~90%)and chemical oxygen demand(COD)removal(~55%)whereas TH caused VSS and COD removals of~65%and~27%,respectively at a temperature of 180°*** TH,the concentrations of carbohydrates and proteins in treated sludge were 400–1000 mg/L and 1500–2500 mg/L,***,WO resulted in solids solubilization followed by oxidative degradation of organics into smaller molecular weight carboxylic acids such as acetic acid(~400–500 mg/L).Based on sludge transformation products generated during the hydrothermal pretreatments,simplified reaction pathways are ***,the application of macromolecules(such as proteins),VFAs and nutrients present in the treated sludge are also *** future study should focus on the development of economic recovery methods for various value-added compounds.

Nodes in a mobile computing system are vulnerable to clone attacks due to their *** such attacks,an adversary accesses a few network nodes,generates replication,then inserts this replication into the network,potentially resulting in numerous internal network *** existing techniques use a central base station,which introduces several difficulties into the system due to the network’s reliance on a single point,while other ways generate more overhead while jeopardising network *** this research,an intelligent double hashing-based clone node identification scheme was used,which reduces communication and memory costs while performing the clone detection *** approach works in two stages:in the first,the network is deployed using an intelligent double hashing procedure to avoid any network collisions and then in the second,the clone node identification procedure searches for any clone node in the *** first phase verifies the node prior to network deployment,and then,whenever a node wants to interact,it executes the second level of ***-to-end delay,which is bound to increase owing to the injection of clone nodes,and packet loss,which is reduced by the double hashing technique,were used to evaluate the performance of the aforementioned approach.

Wireless systems and standards are now progressing toward the implementation of fifth generation (5G) to combat with an expected and explosive growth of demands of wireless services in future. Consequently, wireless interoperability for microwave access (WiMAX) with orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) technology at its physical layer is being utilized for the uplink and downlink transmission to afford the high spectral efficiency in fading environments. However, the 5G implementation requires additional improvements to meet the futuristic stress. This work proposes an innovative solution that combines WiMAX system with multiple input multiple output (MIMO) technology to meet the required elevated data rates as desired by the growing application needs of 5G. MIMO is capable to fulfil the vision of 5G to realize a huge number of base stations equipped with a large number of terminals to be served in the same time-frequency resource without severe inter-user interference. Furthermore, the proposed system is demon- strated incorporation with discrete wavelet transform (DWT), and fractional Fourier transforms (FrFTs) in the physical layer of the WiMAX system. The evaluated outcomes exemplify a considerable improvement in bit error rate (BER) performance in contrast with the earlier reported work.

In the present era of big data,web page searching and ranking in an efficient manner on the World Wide Web to satisfy the specific search needs of the modern user is undoubtedly a major challenge for search *** though a large number of web search techniques have been developed,some problems still exist while searching with generic search engines as none of the search engines can index the entire *** issue is not just the volume but also the relevance concerning the user’s ***,if the search query is partially incomplete or is ambiguous,then most of the modern search engines tend to return the result by interpreting all possible meanings of the *** search quality,more than half of the retrieved web pages have been reported to be *** web search personalization is required to retrieve search results while incorporating the user’s *** the proposed research work we have highlighted the strengths and weakness of various studies as proposed in the literature for web search personalization by carrying out a detailed comparison among *** in-depth comparative study with baselines leads to the recommendation of Intelligent Meta Search System(IMSS)and Advanced Cluster Vector Page Ranking(ACVPR)algorithm as one of the best approaches as proposed in the literature for web search ***,the detailed discussion about the comparative analysis of all categories gives new opportunities to think in different research areas.

Risk factors for 90-day readmission in veterans with inflammatory bowel disease——Does post-discharge follow-up matter?

Background: Repeat hospitalizations in veterans with inflammatory bowel disease(IBD) are under studied. The early readmission rate and potentially modifiable risk-factors for 90-day readmission in veterans with IBD were studied to avert avoidable ***: A retrospective cohort study was conducted using the data from veterans who were admitted to the Minneapolis VA Medical Center(MVMC) between January 1, 2007, and December 31, 2013, for an IBD-related problem. All-cause readmissions within 30 and 90 days were recorded to calculate early readmission rates. The multivariate logistic regression was used to identify the potential risk factors for 90-day ***: There were 130 unique patients(56.9% with Crohn's disease and 43.1% with ulcerative colitis) with 202 IBD-related index admissions. The mean age at the time of index admission was 59.8±15.2 years. The median time to re-hospitalization was 26 days(IQR 10-49), with 30-and 90-day readmission rates of 17.3%(35/202) and 29.2%(59/202), respectively. Reasons for all-cause readmission were IBD-related(71.2%), scheduled surgery(3.4%) and non-gastrointestinal causes(25.4%). The following reasons were independently associated with 90-day readmission: Crohn's disease(OR 3.90; 95% CI 1.82-8.90), use of antidepressants(OR 2.19; 95% CI 1.12-4.32), and lack of follow-up within 90 days with a primary care physician(PCP)(OR 2.63; 95% CI 1.32-5.26) or a gastroenterologist(GI)(OR 2.44; 95% CI 1.20-5.00). 51.0% and 49.0% of patients had documentation of a recommended outpatient follow-up with PCP and/or GI, ***: Early readmission in IBD is common. Independent risk factors for 90-day readmission included Crohn's disease, use of antidepressants and lack of follow-up visit with PCP or GI. Further research is required to determine if the appropriate timing of post-discharge follow-up can reduce IBD readmissions.

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC),the most commonly reported form of pancreatic cancer,is a lethal malignancy that con-tributes to the global cancer burden with high morbidity and mor-tality[1].It has a poor 5-year survival mainly because PDAC poses a significant diagnostic challenge,has a high metastatic rate at di-agnosis and is stubbornly resistant to therapy[2].
