Objective:To investigate the hepatorenoprotective effects of Origanum vulgare *** finasteride-induced oxidative injury in the liver and kidney of ***:Liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-tandem mass spectrometry(LC-ESI/MS)analysis was utilized to yield a fingerprint of Origanum vulgare polyphenolic *** BALB/c mice received 0.5 mL/day distilled water,finasteride(25 mg/kg/day for 10 d),and 100,200,or 400 mg/kg/day finasteride+Origanum vulgare extract with 6 mice per group for five *** day 36,liver and kidney function as well as pro-and antiinflammatory(IFN-γ,IL-12,IL-6,TNF-α,IL-1β,and IL-10)cytokines were *** total antioxidant status,nitric oxide(NO),and malondialdehyde levels as well as the activities of NO synthase and catalase were also *** study was conducted to assess the effect of Origanum vulgare extract on finasteride-induced renal and hepatic ***:Twenty-five major polyphenolic compounds were identified in the Origanum vulgare extract by LC-ESI/*** vulgare extract,especially at 200 and 400 mg/kg/day doses,significantly improved liver and kidney biochemical indices,decreased inflammatory cytokines,increased total antioxidant status and NO synthase and catalase activities,as well as decreased plasma NO and malondialdehyde levels in a dose-dependent manner as compared to the finasteride *** results further confirmed the protective effect of Origanum vulgare ***:Origanum vulgare extract ameliorates finasterideinduced hepatic and renal biochemical and histopathological alterations,and restores antioxidant/oxidant balance.

Medical data classification becomes a hot research topic in the healthcare sector to aid physicians in the healthcare sector for decision ***,the advances of machine learning(ML)techniques assist to perform the effective classification *** this motivation,this paper presents a Fuzzy Clustering Approach Based on Breadth-first Search Algorithm(FCA-BFS)with optimal support vector machine(OSVM)model,named FCABFS-OSVM for medical data *** proposed FCABFS-OSVM technique intends to classify the healthcare data by the use of clustering and classification ***,the proposed FCABFSOSVM technique involves the design of FCABFS technique to cluster the medical data which helps to boost the classification ***,the OSVM model investigates the clustered medical data to perform classification ***,Archimedes optimization algorithm(AOA)is utilized to the SVM parameters and boost the medical data classification results.A wide range of simulations takes place to highlight the promising performance of the FCABFS-OSVM *** comparison studies reported the enhanced outcomes of the FCABFS-OSVM technique over the recent state of art approaches.

Wireless Sensor Networks(WSNs)can be termed as an autoconfigured and infrastructure-less wireless networks to monitor physical or environmental conditions,such as temperature,sound,vibration,pressure and motion *** may comprise thousands of Internet of Things(IoT)devices to sense and collect data from its surrounding,process the data and take an automated and mechanized *** the other side the proliferation of these devices will soon cause radio spectrum ***,to facilitate these networks,we integrate Cognitive Radio(CR)functionality in these *** can sense the unutilized spectrum of licensed users and then use these empty bands when *** order to keep the IoT nodes functional all time,continuous energy is *** this reason the energy harvested techniques are preferred in IoT *** it is preferred to harvest Radio Frequency(RF)energy in the *** this paper a region based multi-channel architecture is *** which the coverage area of primary node is divided as Energy Harvesting Region and Communication *** Secondary User(SU)that are the licensed user is IoT enabled with Cognitive Radio(CR)techniques so we call it CR-enabled IoT node/device and is encouraged to harvest energy by utilizing radio frequency *** harvest energy efficiently and to reduce the energy consumption during sensing,the concept of overlapping region is given that supports to sense multiple channels simultaneously and help the SU to find best channel for transmitting data or to harvest energy from the ideal *** the experimental analysis,it is proved that SU can harvest more energy in overlapping region and this architecture proves to consume less energy during data transmission as compared to single *** also show that channel load can be highly reduced and channel utilization is proved to be more ***,this proves the proposed architecture cost-effective and energy-efficient.

Mineral oil is the most frequent insulating liquid used in oil-immersed transformers for electrical insulation and heat ***,oil-based nanofluids are becoming more popular in scientific research as they have proved to have better dielectric and thermal *** applying these nanofluids into actual transformers,they would be exposed to thermal and electrical ***,The aim of the authors is to investigate the generation pattern of dissolved gases in nanofluids under thermal and electrical faults and to assess the applicability of traditional Dissolved Gas Analysis(DGA)techniques if oil-based nanofluids are used in ***-based nanofluid samples were prepared using a magnetic stirrer and an ultrasonic homogeniser and then subjected to simulated thermal and electrical faults in the laboratory using properly sealed test *** types of metal oxides,Silicon dioxide,Titanium dioxide,and Aluminium oxide nanoparticles,have been used to prepare nanofluids with 0.02 g/L and 0.04 g/L *** gases released and dissolved into oil due to the simulated faults were analysed and compared to traditional mineral oil as a *** dielectric dissipation factor was obtained and analysed for all *** to the findings,the presence and concentration of nanoparticles were shown to influence the amount of gases *** a result,this research is crucial in guaranteeing that traditional DGA techniques can be employed in transformers that use oil-based nanofluids.

Simulation Model for Passive Harmonic Filters Using Matlab/Simulink: A Case Study

Electrical grid power quality is a global issue. The grid must supply electricity at sinusoidal voltages and currents without frequency or amplitude fluctuations. Harmonics from non-linear loads change the stable reference point voltage waveform and cause other problems. Harmonic reduction is essential for grid health. Electrical and electronic equipment users, manufacturers, and suppliers all contribute. This article presents a case analysis of the plastic processing industry, which has historically struggled with a difficulty related to the fifth harmonic. Unwanted harmonics are reduced by using a single-tuned passive filter, a double-tuned passive filter, and a second-order damped filter. The total harmonic distortion is almost identical, but the second-order damped filter provides the best harmonic mitigation, meeting the requirements of the IEE 519-1992 Standard.

Using random-parameter and fixed-parameter ordered models to explore temporal stability in factors affecting drivers' injury severity in single-vehicle collisions

Understanding the temporal stability in the factors influencing drivers' injury severity in single-vehicle collisions would help evaluating the effectiveness of implementing different safety treatments so that researchers could understand whether any safety improvements,observed after applying a certain safety treatment, are attributed to the specific treatment or simply attributed to the temporal instability of the factors being addressed. This study investigates the temporal stability of the factors affecting drivers' injury severity in singlevehicle collisions involving light-duty vehicles. The study is based on utilizing ordinal regression modeling to analyze the severity of drivers' injuries in all police-reported lightduty single-vehicle collisions that occurred in North Carolina from January 1, 2007, to December 31, 2013. A separate regression model was estimated for each year so that statistical significance of each risk factor may be compared over the years. The study also estimated random-parameter(mixed) ordered logit models to explore the heterogeneity in data. The most significant factor that was found to increase the severity of drivers' injuries in light-duty single-vehicle collisions is driving under the influence of alcohol or illicit drugs. Other significant factors, in decreasing order in terms of their significance, include driving on a highway curve, exceeding speed limit, lighting conditions, the age of the driver, and the age of the vehicle. In contrast, there were six factors that were found to be significant in only some years and not in all years. These six temporally unstable factors include the use of seatbelt, driver's gender, rural highways, undivided highways, the type of the light-duty vehicle, and weather and road surface conditions. These same factors were found by other previous research studies to be significant and stable predictors of drivers' injury severity in single-vehicle collisions.

Synthesis and characterization of high strength polyimide/silicon nitride nanocomposites with enhanced thermal and hydrophobic properties

Polyimide(PI)composite films were synthesized incorporating amino modified silicon nitride(Si_(3)N_(4))nanoparticles into PI matrix via in situ polymerization *** mechanical and thermal performances as well as the hydrophobic properties of the as prepared composite films were investigated with respect to the dosage of the filler in the PI *** to Thermogravimetric(TGA)analysis,meaningful improvements were achieved in T5(5%weight loss temperature)and T10(10%weight loss temperature)up to 54.1℃ and 52.4℃,respectively when amino functionalized nano Si_(3)N_(4) particles were introduced into the PI *** differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)results revealed that the glass transition temperature(Tg)of the composites was considerably enhanced up to 49.7℃ when amino functionalized Si_(3)N_(4) nanoparticles were incorporated in the PI *** to the neat PI,the PI/Si_(3)N_(4) nanocomposites exhibited very high improvement in the tensile strength as well as Young’s modulus up to 105.4%and 138.3%,*** to the neat PI,the composites demonstrated highly decreased water absorption behavior which showed about 68.1%enhancement as the content of the nanoparticles was increased to 10 wt%.The SEM(Scanning electron microscope)images confirmed that the enhanced thermal,mechanical and water proof properties are essentially attributed to the improved compatibility of the filler with the matrix and hence,enhanced distribution inside the matrix because of the amino groups on the surface of Si_(3)N_(4) nanoparticles obtained from surface functionalization.

Finite Element Modeling of Geotextile Reinforced Embankments on Soft Clay

The use of geotextiles as a reinforcement material for improving the factor of safety against slope failure in embankments built on soft clay is becoming a common practice. This work is intended to help understand the effect of the geotextile reinforcement has on such embankments and to provide a design aid for civil engineers that enables them to quickly estimate the factor of safety against slope failure. Seventy four different cases were modelled and analyzed using a finite element software, GeoStudio 2018 R2. The results showed that the optimum improvement was achieved when using a single layer of geotextile reinforcement placed at the base of the embankment, by which the factor of safety increased by up to 40%. Adding a second layer, a third layer and a fourth layer, increases the safety factor by 2.5%, 1% and 0.5% respectively. Different charts for different heights of embankments were presented to aid in finding the most suitable slope angle and number of reinforcement layers required to achieve a certain safety factor.
