Economic dispatch has a significant effect on optimal economical operation in the power systems in industrial revolution 4.0 in terms of considerable savings in *** non-linearity are added to make the fossil fuel-based power systems more *** order to achieve an accurate economical schedule,valve point loading effect,ramp rate constraints,and prohibited operating zones are being considered for realistic *** this paper,an improved,and modified version of conventional particle swarm optimization(PSO),called Oscillatory PSO(OPSO),is devised to provide a cheaper schedule with optimum *** conventional PSO is improved by deriving a mechanism enabling the particle towards the trajectories of oscillatory motion to acquire the entire search space.A set of differential equations is implemented to expose the condition for trajectory motion in *** adaptive inertia weights,this OPSO method provides an optimized cost of generation as compared to the conventional particle swarm optimization and other new meta-heuristic approaches.

Finding the suitable solution to optimization problems is a fundamental challenge in various *** algorithms are one of the effective stochastic methods in solving optimization *** this paper,a new stochastic optimization algorithm called Search StepAdjustment Based Algorithm(SSABA)is presented to provide quasi-optimal solutions to various optimization *** the initial iterations of the algorithm,the step index is set to the highest value for a comprehensive search of the search ***,with increasing repetitions in order to focus the search of the algorithm in achieving the optimal solution closer to the global optimal,the step index is reduced to reach the minimum value at the end of the algorithm *** is mathematically modeled and its performance in optimization is evaluated on twenty-three different standard objective functions of unimodal and multimodal *** results of optimization of unimodal functions show that the proposed algorithm SSABA has high exploitation power and the results of optimization of multimodal functions show the appropriate exploration power of the proposed *** addition,the performance of the proposed SSABA is compared with the performance of eight well-known algorithms,including Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO),Genetic Algorithm(GA),Teaching-Learning Based Optimization(TLBO),Gravitational Search Algorithm(GSA),Grey Wolf Optimization(GWO),Whale Optimization Algorithm(WOA),Marine Predators Algorithm(MPA),and Tunicate Swarm Algorithm(TSA).The simulation results show that the proposed SSABA is better and more competitive than the eight compared algorithms with better performance.

AIM:To compare outcomes of conventional and Hangback methods of inferior oblique(IO)recession in V-pattern strabismus with inferior oblique overaction(IOOA).METHODS:Comparative randomized study was conducted consisting of 50 patients,age 6 to 35 y having V-pattern strabismus[>15 prism diopter(PD)]with *** were divided equally in two groups and underwent IO recession,group A by conventional method and group B by Hang-back *** evaluated were reduction in V-pattern and IOOA,shift in torsion,improvement in binocular *** was a residual V-pattern of less than 10 PD at 1 y of follow ***:The mean V-pattern preoperatively and postoperatively at 1 y was 24±5.4 PD and 4.2±3.51 PD in group A and 23.44±6.44 PD and 5.76±3.8 PD in group B *** mean reduction in V-pattern was 20±6.78 PD in group A and 18.2±5.48 PD in group *** mean correction of IOOA was 18.48±3.13 PD in group A and 16±2.93 PD in group *** shift in extorsion was 3.08±1.8 degree in group A and 3.72±2.14 degree in group ***:Both the procedures achieve a significant and comparable reduction in V-pattern and ***-back recession being a landmark free surgery eliminates the need for intrascleral suturing thereby reducing the risk of scleral perforation with possible postoperative adjustment of *** may be considered as a good alternative for IO recession in patients of V-pattern strabismus with mild to moderate amount of IOOA.

Frequency of primary iron overload and HFE gene mutations (C282Y,H63D and S65C) in chronic liver disease patients in north India

AIM:To identify the frequency of iron overload and study the three mutations in the HFE gene (C282Y,H63D,and S65C) in patients with chronic liver disorders (CLD) and controls. METHODS:To identify patients with iron overload (transferrin saturation > 45% in females and > 50% in males and serum ferritin > 1000 ng/mL) we evaluated 236 patients with CLD,including 59 with non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH),22 with alcoholic liver disease (ALD),19 of cirrhosis due to viruses (HBV,HCV),and 136 with cryptogenic cirrhosis. Mutations of the HFE gene were analyzed by PCR-RE. hundred controls were screened for iron status and the mutations. RESULTS:Seventeen patients with CLD showed evidence of iron overload. Fifteen cases of iron overload had cryptogenic cirrhosis and two had ALD. None of the controls showed iron overload. We did not find any individual with 282Y or 65C either in the cases or in the controls. The prevalence of H63D heterozygosity was 12% in normal individuals,14.8% in 236 patients (16.9% in NASH,13.6% in ALD,26.3% in viral and 12.5% in cryptogenic cirrhosis) and the overall prevalence was 13.98%. Only two of the 17 patients with primary iron overload were heterozygous for H63D. One patient with NASH and one normal individual who were homozygous for H63D showed no iron ***:Primary iron overload in Indians is nonHFE type,which is different from that in Europeans and further molecular studies are required to determine the defect in various iron regulatory genes.

The unsteady incompressible viscous flow of a Generalised Maxwell fluid between two coaxial rotating infinite parallel circular disks is studied by using the method of integral transforms. The motion of the fluid is created by the rotation of the upper and lower circular disks with different angular velocities. A fractional calculus approach is utilized to determine the velocity profile in series form in terms of Mittag-Leffler function. The influence of the fractional as well as the material parameters on the velocity field is illustrated graphically.

In this paper an attempt has been made to study the unsteady incompressible flow of a generalized Oldroyd-B fluid between two oscillating parallel plates in presence of a transverse magnetic field. An exact solution for the velocity field has been obtained by means of Laplace and finite Fourier sine transformations in series form in terms of Mittage-Leffler function. The dependence of the velocity field on fractional as well as material parameters has been illustrated graphically. The velocity fields for the classical Newtonian, generalized Maxwell, generalized second grade and ordinary Oldroyd-B fluids are recovered as limiting cases of the flow considered for the generalized Oldroyd-B fluid.

In the present work an attempt has been made to design the antibiotic drug loaded carbopolpoly( NVP) based hydrogel wound dressings for better wound care. The polymer films were characterized by SEM-EDX, AFM, FTIR, 13CNMR, TGA/DTA/DTG, DSC, and swelling studies. Besides drug release, various biomedical properties (viz. blood compatibility, mucoadhesion, oxygen permeability, water vapour transmission rate, microbial penetration, tensile strength, bursting strength, resilience, stress relaxation, and folding endurance) have also been studied. The polymer films have been observed to be biocompatible, permeable to oxygen and water vapour and have absorbed simulated wound fluid 11.37±0.31g/g of polymer film. The drug release profile followed the Case-II diffusion mechanism and release profile best fitted in Hixson-Crowell’s kinetic models. Mechanical properties results showed that the polymer film had 0.65±0.12 Nmm??2 tensile strength, 119.38±14.26% elongationand 25.49±0.72% resilience.

In present paper, an investigation has been made on the fluctuating flow of a non-Newtonian second grade fluid through a porous medium over a semi-infinite porous plate in presence of a transverse magnetic field B0. The governing equations have been solved analytically and the expressions for the velocity and stress fields are obtained. The free stream velocity U(t) fluctuates in time about a non-zero constant mean. The effects of the permeability parameter K and magnetic field parameter M on velocity field have been analyzed quantitatively with the help of figures. It is noticed that the velocity field asymptotically approaches free stream velocity as it goes far away from the plate.
