Protein kinases play a critical role in cell signaling pathways by catalyzing the transfer of the α-phosphoryl group from ATP to the hydroxyl group of substrate side chain. This process affects essentially every cellular process including metabolism, growth, differentiation, motility, membrane transport, learning and memory. To ensure the signaling fidelity, the kinases must be specific and act only on a defined subset of cellular targets. An appropriate Monte Carlo method was developed to simulate the three-dimensional normal grain growth more completely. Comparative investigation on the three-dimensional and the cross-sectional characteristics of normal grain growth was done. It was found that the time exponent of grain growth determined from cross-section exhibits the same rule of increasing slowly with time and approaching the theoretical value n = 0.5 of steadygrain growth as the three-dimensional (3-D) system. From change of the number of grains per unit area with timemeasured in cross-section, the state of 3-D normal grain growth may be predicted. The gtain size distribution incross-section is different from that in 3-D system and can not express the evolution characteristic of the 3-D distribution. Furthermore, there exists statistical connection between the topological parameters in cross-section and thosein three-dimensions.

Given the hyperbolic measure dxdy/y2 on the upper half plane H, the rational actions of PSL2(R) on H induces a continuous unitary representation α of this group on the Hilbert space L2(H, dxdy/y2). Supposing that A = {Mf : f ∈ L∞(H, dxdy/y2)}, we show that the crossed product R(A,α) is of type I. In fact, the crossed product R(A,α) is *-isomorphic to the von Neumann algebra B(L2(P,ν))■LK, where LK is the abelian group von Neumann algebra generated by the left regular representation of K.

Based on a simple nonideal chemical reaction model, the closed system with reversible nonideal reactions and illumination is shown to be able to exhibit sustained oscillation. The essential points in the occurrence of such oscillations are the nonideality of reacting media, which gives rise to multiple chemical equilibria, and the energy flow through illumination and heat conduction, which gives rise to spontaneous transitions repeatedly between the multiple equilibrium states. During the oscillation, reacting media undergo only reversible chemical transformation and all irreversibilities are restricted to the coupling of the system to external world. This oscillation provides an example of the so-called endoreversible machine and a possible way to convert radiation energy of the light directly into mechanical energy.

Dense coding using superpositions of Bell-states is proposed. The generalized Grover's algorithm is used to prepare the initial entangled states, and the reverse process of the quantum algorithm is used to determine the entangled state in the decoding measurement. Compared with the previous schemes, the superpositions of two Bell-states are exploited. Our scheme is demonstrated using a nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)quantum computer. The corresponding manipulations are obtained. Experimental results show a good agreement between theory and experiment. We also generalize the scheme to transmit eight messages by introducing an additional two-state system.

Nucleosides were phosphorylated with different N- (O, O-diisopropyl) phosphoryl amino acids to give nucleoside mono phosphates in aqueous solution. 2', 3', and 5'-isomers had been confirmed by comparison with authentic samples on the basis of HPLC analysis. The conversion percentage of nucleoside indicated that N- (O, O-diisopropyl) phosphoryl aspartic acid reacted with adenosine and guanosine at a much higher rate than other kinds of N- phosphoryl amino acids. while phosphorylation of cytidine and uridine was relatively easy by using N- (O, O-diisopropyl) phosphoryl threonine. The result could give some clue to the prebiotic code origin of nucleic acid and protein.

Chlorine dioxide composite disinfectant generator that produces a mixture of the oxidant gases comprising chlorine dioxide, chlorine, ozone and hydrogen peroxide through electrolyzing salt,is widely utilized in china *** experiments in the paper focused on the removal of benzene homologous compounds such as styrene, methyl and dimethyl benzene. The results indicated that pH value was the most crucial factor to influence the treatment effects while reaction time and input way were considered as the importance. The removal rate for benzene could reach 60% when above 80% for methyl, and 100% for styrene and dimethyl. The variation mechanisms between chlorine dioxide,chlorite and chloride which determine the drinking water quality also discussed.

Secure multi-party computation (SMC) is a research focus in international cryptographic community. At present, there is no SMC solution to the intersection problem of sets. In this paper, we first propose a SMC solution to this problem. Applying Cantor encoding method to computational geometry problems, and based on the solution to set-intersection problem, we further propose solutions to points inclusion problem and intersection problem of rectangles and further prove their privacy-preserving property with widely accepted simulation paradigm. Compared with the known solutions, these new solutions are of less computational complexity and less communication complexity, and have obvious superiority in computational and communication complexity.
