The difficulties in designing high-performance hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)catalysts lie in the manipulation of adsorption behaviors of transition metals(TMs).Topological chiral semimetals with super-long Fermi arc surface states provide an ideal platform for engineering the catalytic performance of TMs through the metal-support *** found the adsorption trends of TMs can be modified significantly when deposited at the surface of the PdGa chiral *** electron transfer from the TMs to the surface states of the PdGa reshapes the d band structure of TMs and weakens the hydrogen intermediate ***,W/PdGa is expected to be a good HER catalyst with close to zero Gibbs free ***,we found a Pt-like exchange current density and tumover frequency when depositing W atoms at the PdGa nanostructures *** findings provide a way to develop high-efficient electrocatalysts by the interplay between topological surface states and metal-support interaction.

This research aimed to improve selection of pepper seeds for separating high-quality seeds from low-quality seeds. Past research has shown that seed vigor is significantly related to the seed color and size, thus several physical features were identified as candidate predictors of high seed quality. Image recognition software was used to automate recognition of seed feature quality using 400 kernels of pepper cultivar 101. In addition, binary logistic regression and a neural network were applied to determine models with high predictive value of seed germination. Single-kernel germination tests were conducted to validate the predictive value of the identified features. The best predictors of seed vigor were determined by the highest correlation observed between the physical features and the subsequent fresh weight of seedlings that germinated from the 400 seeds. Correlation analysis showed that fresh weight was significantly positively correlated with eight physical features： three color features （R, a＊, brightness）, width, length, projected area, and single-kernel density, and weight. In contrast, fresh weight significantly negatively correlated with the feature of hue. In analyses of two of the highest correlating single features,＇ germination percentage increased from 59.3 to 71.8% when a＊〉3, and selection rate peaked at 57.8%. Germination percentage increased from 59.3 to 79.4%, and the selection rate reached 76.8%, when single-kernel weight 〉0.0064 g. The most effective model was based on a multilayer perceptron （MLP） neural network, consisting of 15 physical traits as variables, and a stability calculated as 99.4%. Germination percentage in a calibration set of seeds was 79.1% and the selection rate was 90.0%. These results indicated that the model was effective in predicting seed germination based on physical features and could be used as a guide for quality control in seed selection. Objective： TO examine the effects of the combination of quercetin （Q）, cinnamaldehyde （C） and hirudin （H）, a Chinese medicine formula on high glucose （HG）-induced apoptosis of cultured dorsal root ganglion （DRG） neurons. Methods： DRG neurons exposed to HG （45 mmol/L） for 24 h were employed as an in vitro model of diabetic neuropathy. Cell viability, reactive oxygen species （ROS） level and apoptosis were determined. The expression of nuclear factor of Kappa B （NF- κB）, inhibitory kappa B α （IκBα ）, phosphorylated IκBα and Nf-E2 related factor 2 （Nrf2） were examined using reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction （RT-PCR） and Western blot assay. The expression of hemeoxygenase-1 （HO-1）, interleukin-6 （IL-6）, tumor necrosis factor （TNF-α） and caspase-3 were also examined by RT-PCR and Western blot assay. Results： HG treatment markedly increased DRG neuron apoptosis via increasing intracellular ROS level and activating the NF- κB signaling pathway （P〈0.05）. Co-treatment with Q, C, H and their combination decreased HG-induced caspase-3 activation and apoptosis （P〈0.05 or P〈0.01）. The expressions of NF- κB, IL-6 and TNF-α were down- regulated, and Nrf2/HO-1 expression was up-regulated （P〈0.05 or P〈0.01）. QCH has better effect in scavenging ROS, activating Nrf-2/HO-1, and down-regulating the NF- κB pathway than other treatment group. Conclusions： DRG neurons＇ apoptosis was increased in diabetic conditions, which was reduced by QCH formula treatment. The possible reason could be activating Nrf-2/HO-1 pathway, scavenging ROS, and inhibition of NF- κB activation. The effect of QCH combination was better than each monomer or the combination of the two monomers.

With alkyl-polyamine triethylene-tetramine as the structure-directing agent, aluminosilicate zeolite ZSM-5（MFI） crystals were synthesized and characterized by XRD, SEM, FTIR, and TG-DTA. The results indicate that the organic amine has a certain influence on the crystal shape and size. The alkaline condition was in favor of the crystallization of ZSM-5 zeolite in the triethylene-tetramine system. The catalytic activity of as-synthesized crystals was examined for the aqueous hydroxylation of phenol with hydrogen peroxide. The phenol conversion was 13.6%, and the selectivities of the as-synthesized samples for catechol, hydroquinone, and benzoquinone were 66.0%, 23.6%, and 10.4%, respectively. The as-synthesized ZSM-5 sample shows a relatively high selectivity towards catechol and could be a promising catalyst.

The space noncooperative target maneuvering trajectory tracking is essential for the safety of the on-orbit *** the noncooperative target,the maneuvering model is complex and ***,the maneuvering dynamics model,the operation time,and the maneuvering frequency are previously *** is difficult to achieve high-precision maneuvering trajectory *** this paper,a novel real-time maneuvering trajectory tracking algorithm is developed,in which the maneuvering trajectory of the noncooperative target is discretized first,and then the differential algebra method is utilized to estimate the maneuvering parameter of the noncooperative target in the discretized *** the discretized period is very short,the maneuvering parameters of the target in the next discretized time are assumed to be the same as those in the previous discretized time,and the estimated maneuvering parameters are utilized to predict the target’s relative state in the next discretized time to achieve maneuvering trajectory *** with the interactive multimodel method(IMM),the proposed method can estimate the maneuvering parameter of the noncooperative target in real time,which greatly reduces the tracking error caused by the mismatching of the target’s maneuvering *** order to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm,a simulation of a noncooperative target’s maneuvering trajectory tracking is *** results demonstrated that the proposed method could track the noncooperative target maneuvering in real time,and the estimation accuracy was improved by about 93.07%compared with the IMM.

For a characteristic c-ray with interlaced overlap peak, and the case where its reliable and credible net count cannot be obtained using the current high-purity germanium(HPGe) multichannel γ-ray spectrum software, two new methods are proposed herein to obtain the γ-ray net peak count from the interlaced overlap peak in the HPGe cray spectrometer system, of which one is the symmetric conversion method based on Gaussian distribution and the other is where the energy average value of two close γ-rays is regarded as the γ-ray energy. The experimental results indicate that the two methods mentioned above are reliable and credible. This study is significant for the development of better γ-ray spectrum processing software for measuring complex γ-ray spectra concerning the nuclear reaction cross section, neutron activation analysis, and analysis of transuranium elements, using an HPGe detector.

Androgen deficiency is a physical disorder that not only affects adults but can also jeopardize children＇s health. Because there are many disadvantages to using traditional androgen replacement therapy, we have herein attempted to explore the use of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells for the treatment of androgen deficiency. We transplanted CM-Dil-labeled human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells into the testes of an ethane dimethanesulfonate （EDS）-induced male rat hypogonadism model. Twenty-one days after transplantation, we found that blood testosterone levels in the therapy group were higher than that of the control group （P= 0.037）, and using immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry, we observed that some of the CM-Dil-labeled cells expressed Leydig cell markers for cytochrome P450, family 11, subfamily A, polypeptide 1, and 3-β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase. We then recovered these cells and observed that they were still able to proliferate in vitro. The present study shows that mesenchymal stem cells from human umbilical cord may constitute a promising therapeutic modality for the treatment of male hypogonadism patients.

Dysregulation of mi R-124 has been reported to be involved in the pathophysiology of depression. Chaihu-Shugan-San, a traditional Chinese medicine, has antidepressive activity; however, the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. In this study, to generate a rodent model of depression, rats were subjected to a combination of solitary confinement and chronic unpredictable mild stress for 28 days. Rats were intragastrically administered Chaihu-Shugan-San（2.835 m L/kg/d） for 4 weeks, once a day. Real-time reverse-transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction, mi RNA microarray, western blot assay and transmission electron microscopy demonstrated that ChaihuShugan-San downregulated mi R-124 expression and upregulated the m RNA and protein levels of mitogen-activated protein kinase 14（MAPK14） and glutamate receptor subunit 3（Gria3）. Chaihu-Shugan-San also promoted synapse formation in the hippocampus. The open field test, sucrose consumption test and forced swimming test were used to assess depression-like behavior. After intragastric administration of Chaihu-Shugan-San, sucrose consumption increased, while the depressive behaviors were substantially reduced. Together, these findings suggest that Chaihu-Shugan-San exerts an antidepressant-like effect by downregulating mi R-124 expression and by releasing the inhibition of the MAPK14 and Gria3 signaling pathways.
