Rapid health estimation of in-service battery packs based on limited labels and domain adaptation

For large-scale in-service electric vehicles(EVs)that undergo potential maintenance,second-hand transactions,and retirement,it is crucial to rapidly evaluate the health status of their battery ***,existing methods often rely on lengthy battery charging/discharging data or extensive training samples,which hinders their implementation in practical *** address this issue,a rapid health estimation method based on short-time charging data and limited labels for in-service battery packs is proposed in this ***,a digital twin of battery pack is established to emulate its dynamic behavior across various aging levels and inconsistency ***,increment capacity sequences(△Q)within a short voltage span are extracted from charging process to indicate battery ***,data-driven models based on deep convolutional neural network(DCNN)are constructed to estimate battery state of health(SOH),where the synthetic data is employed to pre-train the models,and transfer learning strategies by using fine-tuning and domain adaptation are utilized to enhance the model ***,field data of 10 EVs exhibiting different SOHs are used to verify the proposed *** using the△Q with 100 m V voltage change,the SOH of battery packs can be accurately estimated with an error around 3.2..

Zn based electrochemical energy storage systems(EES)have attracted tremendous interests owing to their low cost and high intrinsic ***,the uncontrolled growth of Zn dendrites and the side reactions of Zn metal anodes(ZMAs)severely restrict their *** address these issues,we design the asymmetric Zn-N_(4) atomic sites embedded hollow fibers(AS-IHF)as the flexible host for stable *** introducing different nitrogen resources in the synthesis,two kinds of coordination,i,***-N(pyridinic)and Zn-N(pyrrolic),are introduced in the Zn-N_(4) atomic module *** asymmetric Zn-N_(4) module with regulated micro-environment facilitates the superior zincophilic features and promotes the Zn ***,the highly porous structure of the hollow fiber effectively reduces local current density,homogenize Zn ion flux,and alleviate structure *** the advantages endow the high efficiency and good stability for Zn plating/*** theoretical and experimental results demonstrate the high reversibility,low nucleation overpotential,and dendritefree behavior of the AS-IHF@Zn anode,which afford the high stability in high-rate and long-term ***,the solid-state Zn-ion hybrid capacitor(ZIHC)based on AS-IHF@Zn anode shows the high flexibility,reliability,and superior long-term cycling capability in a wide-range of temperatures(-2.-2.℃).Therefore,the present work not only gives a new strategy for modulating local environments of single atomic sites,but also propels the development of flexible power sources for diverse electronics.

Drought events have become more severe under climate change,and this can pose a major threat to the survival of various *** molecular mechanisms involved in dehydration resistance are not well ***,adults of the migratory locust,Locusta migratoria,were subjected to food-mediated dehydration,and adipokinetic hormone(AKH)signaling was found to play a key role in regulating dehydration ***,dehydration shortened the lifespan,increased the body weight loss,and reduced the water loss rate in adult *** transcriptome profiles revealed variations in tissue-specific gene expression between dehydration-resistant locusts and normal ***,dehydration selection and exposure induced prominent expression of AKH genes in the retrocerebral complex of adult ***,individual knockdown of AKH1,AKH2.or AKH receptor(AKHR)accelerated water loss and shortened the lifespan of adult locusts under dehydration conditions,and trehalose supplementation ameliorated the negative effects caused by interference with AKH or *** findings demonstrated that AKH/AKHR signaling-dependent trehalose metabolism plays a crucial role in regulating locust dehydration resistance and thus provide novel insights into the regulatory mechanism underlying drought resistance.

Living tissues often have anisotropic and heterogeneous organizations, in which developmental processes are coordinated by cells and extracellular matrix modeling. Cells have the capability of modeling matrix in long distance;however, the biophysical mechanism is largely unknown. We investigated the dynamic remodeling of collagen I (COL) fibril matrix by cell contraction with designed patterns of cell clusters. By considering cell dynamic contractions, our molecular dynamics simulations predicted the anisotropic patterns of the observed COL bundling in experiments with various geometrical patterns without spatial limitation. The pattern of COL bundling was closely related to the dynamic remodeling of fibril under cell active contraction. We showed that cell cytoskeletal integrity (actin filaments and microtubules), actomyosin contractions, and endoplasmic reticulum calcium channels acting as force generations and transductions were essential for fiber bundling inductions, and membrane mechanosensory components integrin and Piezo played critical roles as well. This study revealed the underlying mechanisms of the cell mechanics-induced matrix remodeling in large scales and the associated cellular mechanism and should provide important guidelines for tissue engineering in potential biomedical applications.

The timing and mechanisms of the human occupation of the demanding high-altitude Tibetan Plateau environment are of great ***,we report on our reinvestigations and dating of the Nwya Devu site,located nearly 4600 meters above sea level on the central Tibetan Plateau.A new microblade techno-complex was identified on a lower lake shore at this site,distinct from the previously reported blade tool *** two lithic assemblages were dated to 45.6±2.6 and10.3±0.5 ka using optically stimulated luminescence and accelerator mass spectrometry^(14)C *** represent,respectively,the earliest known Paleolithic and microlithic sites on the interior Tibetan Plateau,indicating multiple occupation episodes of hunter-gatherers during the past 45 *** studies reveal that relatively stable depositional conditions and a paleoenvironment characterized by a comparatively warm climate facilitated these multiple occupations at Nwya *** contemporaneous occurrence of the Upper Paleolithic blade technology on the Tibetan Plateau and most of Eurasia between 50 and 40 ka indicates rapid,large-scale dispersals of humans that profoundly affected human demography on a large *** new archaeological evidence and previously reported genetic data,we conclude that the Tibetan Plateau provided a relatively stable habitat for Upper Paleolithic hunter-gatherers,which may have contributed to the complex and multiple-origin gene pool of present-day Tibetans.

Alternating shear stress is a critical factor in the accumulation of damage during rolling contact fatigue,severely limiting the service life of ***,the specific mechanisms responsible for the cyclic shear fatigue damage in bearing steel have not been fully *** the mechanical response and microstructural evolution of a model GGr15 bearing steel under cyclic shear loading are investigated through the implementation of molecular dynamics *** samples undergo 30 cycles under three different loading conditions with strains of 6.2.,9.2.,and 12.2.,*** findings indicate that severe cyclic shear deformation results in early cyclic softening and significant accumulation of plastic damage in the bearing ***,samples subjected to higher strain-controlled loading exhibit higher plastic strain energy and shorter fatigue ***,strain localization is identified as the predominant damage mechanism in cyclic shear fatigue of the bearing steel,which accumulates and ultimately results in fatigue ***,simulation results also revealed the microstructural reasons for the strain localization(e.g.,BCC phase transformation into FCC and HCP phase),which well explained the formation of white etching *** study provides fresh atomic-scale insights into the mechanisms of cyclic shear fatigue damage in bearing steels.
