Benefiting from the great advances of the femtosecond laser two-photon polymerization(TPP)technology,customized microcantilever probes can be accurately 3-dimensional(3D)manufactured at the nanoscale size and thus have exhibited considerable potentials in the fields of microforce,micro-vibration,and microforce *** this work,a controllable microstructured cantilever probe on an optical fiber tip for microforce detection is demonstrated both theoretically and *** static performances of the probe are firstly investigated based on the finite element method(FEM),which provides the basis for the structural *** proposed cantilever probe is then 3D printed by means of the TPP *** experimental results show that the elastic constant k of the proposed cantilever probe can be actively tuned from 2.46N/m to 62.35N/*** force sensitivity is 2.5nm/μN,the Q-factor is 368.93,and the detection limit is ***,the mechanical properties of the cantilever probe can be flexibly adjusted by the geometric configuration of the ***,it has an enormous potential for matching the mechanical properties of biological samples in the direct contact mode.

Aerodynamic characteristics of a high-speed train crossing the wake of a bridge tower from moving model experiments

In a strong crosswind,the wake of a bridge tower will lead to an abrupt change of the aerodynamic forces acting on a vehicle passing through it,which may result in problems related to the transportation *** study investigates the transient aerodynamic characteristics of a high-speed train moving in a truss girder bridge and passing by a bridge tower in a wind *** scaled ratio of the train,bridge,and tower are 1:*** of various parameters such as the incoming wind speed,train speed,and yaw angle on the aerodynamic performance of the train were *** the sudden change mechanism of aerodynamic loads on the train when it crosses over the tower was further *** results show that the bridge tower has an apparent shielding effect on the train passing through it,with the influencing width being larger than the width of the *** train speed is the main factor affecting the influencing width of aerodynamic coefficients,and the mutation amplitude is mainly related to the yaw angle obtained by changing the incoming wind speed or train *** vehicle movement introduces an asymmetry of loading on the train in the process of approaching and leaving the wake of the bridge tower,which should not be neglected.

Prussian blue and collagen loaded chitosan nanofibers with NIR-controlled NO release and photothermal activities for wound healing

Nitric oxide(NO)has emerged as a potential wound therapeutic agent due to its pivotal role in the wound healing ***,NO-based therapy for clinical applications is still restricted due to its gaseous state and short *** we exploited a wound dressing by incorporating sodium nitroprusside doped prussian blue nanoparticals and Type I collagen into the chitosan/poly(vinyl alcohol)nanofibers through the electrospinning *** hybrid nanofibrous scaffold possess the excellent abilities of NIR controlled NO release,photothermal therapy,and imitation of extra-cellular matrix-like *** synergistic effects could enhance their anti-bactericidal effects in vitro and furthermore accelerate wound healing in vivo when compared to control *** analysis demonstrated the scaffold could promote fibroblast growth and accelerate ***,no apparent histological toxicology and negligible damage to major organs were observed,which provided sufficient biosafety for in vivo *** data indicate the fabricated hybrid nanofibrous scaffold could be used as an ideal candidate for accelerating wound healing and treating chronic wounds.

Stress corrosion behavior of 2195-T8 Al-Li alloy with an artificial pit exposed to a 30vol%HNO3 solution

This paper experimentally studied the stress corrosion behavior of 2195-T8 Al-Li alloys with prefabricated pits in 30vol%*** microstructure was observed and determined by the scanning electron microscopy and the transmission electron *** typical corrosion features,i.e.,regular or irregular corrosion pits and sub/intergranular corrosion,were investigated,and the role of stress were *** statistical results of the number and area of corrosion pits in various sizes were studied using an improved image processing *** results demonstrate that stress affects the intergranular corrosion or sub-intergranular corrosion of the alloy most,and promotes them to evolve into cracks under stress *** also plays a role in accelerating corrosion severity of certain corrosion *** number of corrosion pits with an area of 0–50μm~2 can be seen as an index to reflect the degree of ***,a corrosion phenomenon,i.e.,the pit bottom in the site with the maximum stress locally suffering from no severe corrosion,was observed and discussed.

Topography modulates effects of nitrogen deposition on microbial resource limitation in a nitrogen-saturated subtropical forest

Background:Nitrogen(N)saturation theory proposes that an ecosystem might switch from N limitation to carbon(C),phosphorus(P),or other nutrient limitations if it receives continuous N ***,after N limitation is removed,which nutrient is the most limited and whether topography modulates such change is rarely tested at a microbial ***,we conducted a two-year N addition experiment under two different topography positions(i.e.a slope and a valley)in a N-saturated subtropical *** enzyme activity was measured,and ecoenzymatic stoichiometry indexes were calculated as indicators of microbial resource ***:In the valley,two-year N addition changed the activity of all studied enzymes to various *** a result,microbial C limitation was aggravated in the valley,and consequently microbial decomposition of soil labile organic C increased,but microbial P limitation was alleviated due to the stoichiometry *** the slope,however,N addition did not significantly change the activity of the studied enzymes,and did not alter the status of microbial resource ***:These results indicate that C is a more limited element for microbial growth than P after removing N limitation,but we also highlight that topography can regulate the effect of N deposition on soil microbial resource limitation in subtropical *** findings provide useful supplements to the N saturation theory.

The mechanism underlying overwintering death in poplar:the cumulative effect of effective freeze-thaw damage

We analyzed the relationships linking overwintering death and frost cracking to temperature and sunlight as well as the effects of low temperatures and freeze–thaw cycles on bud-burst rates,relative electrical conductivity,and phloem and cambial ultrastructures of *** death rates of poplar were not correlated with negative accumulated temperature or winter minimum ***–thaw cycles caused more bud damage than constant exposure to low *** to freeze–thaw cycles differed among clones,and the budburst rate decreased with increasing exposure to freeze–thaw ***-resistant clones had the lowest relative electrical *** exhibited the fastest and the most obvious reaction to freeze–thaw damage,whereas a single freeze–thaw cycle caused little damage to cambium *** such cycles resulted in damage to plasma membranes,severe damage to organelles,dehydration of cells and cell *** conclude that overwintering death of poplar is mainly attributed to the accumulation of effective freeze–thaw damage beyond the limits of freeze–thaw resistance.

The synthesis of graphene-semiconductor nanocomposites has attracted increasing attention due to their interesting optoelectronic *** the synthesis of such nanocomposites,with decorated particles well dispersed on graphene,is still a great *** work reports a facile,one-step,solvothermal method for the synthesis of graphene-CdS and graphene-ZnS quantum dot nanocomposites directly from graphene oxide,with CdS and ZnS very well dispersed on the graphene *** measurements showed that the integration of CdS and ZnS with graphene significantly decreases their *** photovoltage studies revealed that the graphene-CdS nanocomposite exhibits a very unexpected strong positive photovoltaic response,while separate samples of graphene and CdS quantum dots(QDs)of a similar size do not show any photovoltaic response.

Electronic Stability Control（ESC） and Traction Control System（TCS） have progressed considerably,but there is seldom research on integration between the two active safety control *** paper proposes an integrated stability control system which combines the two modules cooperatively in order to achieve optimal torque distribution for decentralized electric vehicles（EVs） and constraint the wheel *** integrated stability control system has a hierarchical structure.A TCS module is employed in the under layer to adjust the torque command from the ESC module and generates the actual *** analysis and comparison with prior control methods,simulation results demonstrate that the proposed integrated stability control system can enhance the handling stability and constraint the wheel slip.

The coral grayness in northern South China Sea and its description of interdecadal variation of precipitation in south China

The interdecadal variation of coral grayness in northern South China Sea (SCS) is studied using the annual mean coral grayness in northern SCS from 1789 to 1992 and annual precipitation at Guangzhou from 1908 to 1992 by Singular Spectrum Analysis (SSA), correlation analysis, Mann-Kendall’s abrupt change analysis and composite analysis. The interdecadal variation of south China precipitation as reflected by the series of Guangzhou precipitation rebuilt with the coral grayness is discussed. The results show that the variation of coral grayness in SCS has significant terms of tendency, much-weighted interdecadal variation and weak interannual variation. There was a century-scale abrupt change of coral grayness at the end of the 1880s that changed from positive anomalies to negative anomalies. The global field of SST difference corresponding to the point of abrupt change was negative anomalies over the SCS and neighboring northern Indian Ocean, most of central and western Pacific Ocean and coastal areas of the northern Atlantic Ocean. The large-scale distribution of SST anomalies is concomitant with the century-scale abrupt change of coral grayness in SCS. Negative correlation exists between the coralgrayness in SCS and precipitation in Guangzhou on the interdecadal scale and the interdecadal precipitation in Guangzhou as reflected by the interdecadaldata of SCS coral grayness shows that the interdecadal variation of south China precipitation changes significantly from phase to phase. The current study aims at contributing in the effort of identifying alternative indexes for climate change in south China on the interdecadal scale and beyond.

Sound propagation from the shelfbreak to deep water

Motivated by a phenomenon in an experiment conducted in the Northwestern Pacific indicating that the energy of the received signal around the sound channel axis is much greater than that at shallower depths,we study sound propagation from the transitional area(shelfbreak)to deep *** simulations with different source depths are first performed,from which we reach the following *** the source is located near the sea surface,sound will be strongly attenuated by bottom losses in a range-independent oceanic environment,whereas it can propagate to a very long range because of the continental *** the source is mounted on the bottom in shallow water,acoustic energy will be trapped near the sound channel axis,and it converges more evidently than the case where the source is located near the sea ***,numerical simulations with different source ranges are *** comparing the relative energy level in the vertical direction between the numerical simulations and the experimental data,the range of the air-gun source can be approximated.
