High-strength pipeline steel was subjected to friction stir welding(FSW)at rotation rates of 400-700 rpm,and the grain refinement mechanism of the nugget zone(NZ)was *** thermomechanical process during FSW in the NZ was simulated by multi-pass thermal compression,thereby achieving the austenitic non-recrystallization temperature(T_(nr)).The austenitic non-recrystallization in the NZ at the lowest rotation rate of 400 rpm caused a significant grain ***,the reduced rotation rate also resulted in the formation of a high ratio of island-like martensite-austenite(m-A)*** toughness of the NZs was enhanced as the rotation rate decreased,which is attributed to the fine effective grains and homogeneously distributed fine m-A constituents dramatically inhibiting crack initiation and propagation.

The Sa'al metamorphic Complex(SmC;southern Sinai)encompasses the oldest arc rocks in the Arabian–Nubian Shield,comprising two non-consanguineous metavolcanic successions(the Agramiya Group and the Post-Ra'ayan Formation)separated by the metasediments of the Ra'ayan *** experienced three distinct deformational events(D_(1)–D_(3))and two low-medium grade regional metamorphic events(m_1–m_(2)).The Agramiya Group and the Ra'ayan Formation experienced all tectonometamorphic events(D_1–D_(3)and m_(1)–m_(2)),whereas the Post-Ra'ayan volcanic rocks were only affected by the D_(3)and m_(2)events.D_(1)is an extensional event and is connected to the late Rodinia break-up(~Tonian;900–870 ma).The m_(1)metamorphism variably affected the older Agramiya Group,the rhyolitic tuffs experiencing lower to upper greenschist facies conditions and the basic and intermediate volcanic rocks undergoing amphibolite facies *** Ra'ayan Formation metasediments experienced upper greenschist to amphibolite facies *** upper greenschist facies m_(2)affected the youngest Post-Ra'ayan volcanic rocks and other stratigraphic *** compressive D_(2)and D_(3)events were coeval with the accretion of dismembered terranes in the assembly of Gondwana.D_(2)can be linked to the Tonian–Cryogenian arc-arc assembly(~880–760 ma;in elat and Sinai),whereas D_(3)and the accompanying m_(2)is constrained to 622–600 ma(Ediacaran).

The use of maleic anhydride (ma) coupling agent in polypropylene (PP) matrix system is promising technique to enhance the fibre-matrix interface in composite applications. However, most of the previous studies are focused on either treatment of the natural fibres or the PP matrix with this coupling agent, which are not commercially viable. In this work, a cost-effective technique “hybrid yarns” was used to manufacture commingled reinforcing flax fibres and ma-grafted PP matrix fibres. Two types of twist-less flax/PP and flax/maPP hybrid yarns were produced containing 40% flax and 60% matrix fibres by volume. Both PP and maPP fibres were thermally and rheologically characterised using DSC, mFI, TGA, DTA and capillary rheometer. It is found that the composites manufactured from flax/maPP blends exhibited 15% higher strength and 25% higher modulus compared to those made of flax/PP. This was due to the improved flax/matrix interface, the higher melt flow rate and lower share viscosity behaviour of the maPP matrix fibres compared to the standard PP fibres used.

AIm To investigate the accuracy of fungal dysbiosis inmucosa and stool for predicting the diagnosis of Crohn's disease(CD). mETHODS Children were prospectively enrolled in two medical centers: one university hospital and one private gastroenterology clinic in the city of Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The children with confirmed diagnosis of CD by standard guidelines were considered cases, and the others were considered non-inflammatory bowel disease controls. mucosal and stool samples were sequenced utilizing Illumina miSeq chemistry following the manufacturer's protocols, and abundance and diversity of fungal taxa in mucosa and stool were analyzed. Sparse logistic regression was used to predict the diagnosis of CD. The accuracy of the classifier was tested by computing the receiver operating characteristic curves with 5-fold stratified cross-validation under 100 permutations of the training data partition and the mean area under the curve(AUC) was calculated. RESULTS All the children were Saudi nationals. There were 15 children with CD and 20 controls. The mean age was 13.9(range: 6.7-17.8) years for CD children and 13.9(3.25-18.6) years for controls, and 10/15(67%) of the CD and 13/20(65%) of the control subjects were boys. CD locations at diagnosis were ileal(L1) in 4 and colonic(L3) in 11 children, while CD behavior was non-stricturing and non-penetrating(B1) in 12 and stricturing(B2) in 3 children. The mean AUC for the fungal dysbiosis classifier was significantly higher in stools(AUC = 0.85 ± 0.057) than in mucosa(AUC = 0.71 ± 0.067)(P most fungal species were significantly more depleted in stools than mucosal samples, except for Saccharomyces cerevisiae and S. bayanus, which were significantly more abundant. Diversity was significantly more reduced in stools than in mucosa. CONCLUSION We found high AUC of fungal dysbiosis in fecal samples of children with CD, suggesting high accuracy in predicting diagnosis of CD.

15 vol% silicon carbide particle （SiCp）-reinforced 2009A1 matrix （15 vol% SiCp/2009A1） composites were fabricated by hot isostatic pressing （HIP） and hot extrusion processes. The tensile and fracture properties of 15 vol% SiCp/ 2009Al were studied. The results showed that hot extrusion increased the ultimate tensile strength （UTS）, yield strength （YS）, elongation （el）, reduction in area （RA）, and fracture toughness of the composites. The heat treatment resulted in the increase in UTS, YS, and fracture toughness, but a decrease in el and RA. Both hot extrusion and heat treatment had negligible effects on elastic modulus （E）. With the increase of SiCp size, the UTS, YS, and E decreased, but the el and RA increased. The fracture toughness increased first and then decreased with increasing SiCp size, and when the SiCp size was about 7 μm, the composites obtained the maximum fracture toughness value of 31.74 mPa m^1/2.

model atmospheres of the close visual binary star Cou 1511 （HIP 12552） are constructed using grids of Kuruz＇s blanketed models to build the individual synthetic spectral energy distributions （SEDs） for both components. These synthetic SEDs are combined together for the entire system and compared with the observational one following A1-Wardat＇s complex method for analyzing close visual binary stars. The entire observational SED of the system is used as a reference for comparison between the synthetic SED and the observed one. The parameters of both components are derived as： Teff = 6180 4- 50 K, Tebfr = 5865 ＋ 70 K, log 9a = 4.35 ± 0.12, log 9b = 4.45± 0.14, Ra = 1.262 ± 0.08 R⊙^eff, Rb = 1.006 ± 0.07 R⊙^ett, La = 2.09 -4- 0.10 L⊙ and Lb = 1.08 ± 0.12 L⊙, with spectral types F8V and G1.5V for components （a, b） respectively and age of 3.0 ± 0.9 Gyr. A modified orbit of the system is built and the masses of the two components are calculated as ma = 1.17 ±0.11 me and mb = 1.06 ± 0.10 me.
