Estimation of free core nutation parameters and availability of computing options

The Earth’s Free Core Nutation(FCN) causes Earth tides and forced nutation with frequencies close to the FCN that exhibit resonance ***-precision superconducting gravimeter(SG) and very long baseline interferometry(VLBI) provide good observation techniques for detecting the FCN ***,some choices in data processing and solution procedures increase the uncertainty of the FCN *** this study,we analyzed the differences and the effectiveness of weight function and ocean tide corrections in the FCN parameter detection using synthetic data,SG data from thirty-one stations,and the 10 celestial pole offset(CPO) *** results show that significant discrepancies are caused by different computing options for a single SG *** stacking method,which results in a variation of0.24-5 sidereal days(SDs) in the FCN period(T) and 10^(3)-10^(4) in the quality factor(Q) due to the selection of the weighting function and the ocean tide model(OTM),can effectively suppress this *** statistical analysis results of synthetic data shows that although different weight choices,while adjusting the proportion of diurnal tidal waves involved,do not significantly improve the accuracy of fitted FCN parameters from gravity *** study evaluated a series of OTMs using the loading correction *** fitting of FCN parameters can be improved by selecting the mean of appropriate OTMs based on the evaluation *** the estimation of the FCN parameters based on the forced nutation,it was found that the weight function P_(1) is more suitable than others,and different CPO series(after 2009) resulted in a difference of 0.4 SDs in the T and of 103 in the *** estimated the FCN parameters for SG(T=430.4±1.5 SDs and Q=1.52×10^(4)±2.5×10^(3)) and for VLBI(T=429.8±0.7 SDs,Q=1.88×10^(4)±2.1×10^(3)).

Construction and validation of somatic mutation-derived long noncoding RNAs signatures of genomic instability to predict prognosis of hepatocellular carcinoma

BACKGROUND Long non-coding RNAs(LncRNAs)have been found to be a potential prognostic factor for cancers,including hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Some LncRNAs have been confirmed as potential indicators to quantify genomic instability(GI).Nevertheless,GI-LncRNAs remain largely *** study established a GI-derived LncRNA signature(GILncSig)that can predict the prognosis of HCC *** To establish a GILncSig that can predict the prognosis of HCC *** Identification of GI-LncRNAs was conducted by combining LncRNA expression and somatic mutation *** GI-LncRNAs were then analyzed for functional *** GILncSig was established in the training set by Cox regression analysis,and its predictive ability was verified in the testing set and TCGA *** addition,we explored the effects of the GILncSig and TP53 on *** A total of 88 GI-LncRNAs were found,and functional enrichment analysis showed that their functions were mainly involved in small molecule metabolism and *** GILncSig was constructed by 5 LncRNAs(miR210HG,AC016735.1,AC116351.1,AC010643.1,LUCAT1).In the training set,the prognosis of high-risk patients was significantly worse than that of low-risk patients,and similar results were verified in the testing set and TCGA *** Cox regression analysis and stratified analysis confirmed that the GILncSig could be used as an independent prognostic *** operating characteristic curve analysis of the GILncSig showed that the area under the curve(0.773)was higher than the two LncRNA signatures published ***,the GILncSig may have a better predictive performance than TP53 mutation status *** We established a GILncSig that can predict the prognosis of HCC patients,which will help to guide prognostic evaluation and treatment decisions.

PVP/PAN-derived porous carbon fiber for zinc-ion hybrid supercapacitors

Porous carbon fibers are promising cathodes for zinc-ion hybrid supercapacitors(ZHSs)owing to their abundant active sites,great conductivity,and stable physical and chemical ***,designing a proper preparation technique to regulate the microstructure of carbon fibers still remains a great ***,a poly vinylpyrrolidone/po-lyacry lonitrile(PVP/PAN)-derived porous carbon fiber is developed via the PVP/PAN blend electrospinning and hydrothermal selective PVP removal *** hydrothermal selective PVP removal strategy can effectively avoid a cross-linking between PVP and PAN during the traditional stabilization at air *** PVP/PAN-derived porous carbon fiber,the sufficient micropores provide abundant space for the Zn^(2+)storage,whereas the proper mesopores contribute to the fast ion *** hierarchical porous structures endow ZHSs with high specific capacity and high-rate *** ZHS assembled with the optimal PVP/PAN-derived porous carbon fiber(PVP-PANC-0.8)displays an outstanding specific capacity of 208 mAh·g^(-1),high rate capability(49.5%)from 0.5 to 5 A·g^(-1),and 72.25%capacity retention after 10,000 cycles at 0.5 A·g^(-1).

Analysis of Th-U breeding capability for an accelerator-driven subcritical molten salt reactor

Accelerator-driven systems based on molten salt fuel have several unique advantages and features for advanced nuclear fuel *** aim of this work was to study the Th-U breeding capability in such systems,known as‘‘accelerator-driven subcritical molten salt reactors’’(ADS–MSRs).Breeding capacities including conversion ratio and net^(233)U production for various subcriticalities and different minor actinides(MA)loadings were analyzed for an ADS–*** results show that the subcriticality of the core has a considerable effect on the Th-U breeding.A high subcriticality is favorable to improving the conversion ratio,increasing the net^(233)U production,and reducing the doubling ***,the doubling time for k_(eff)of 0.99 is larger than 80 years,while the counterpart for k_(eff)of 0.93 is only approximately22 ***,in an ADS–MSR with a high initial MA loading,MA results in a non-negligible^(233)U depletion in the first two decades,while increasing the net^(233)U production compared to reactors without MA *** the 50 years of operation,for the subcritical reactor(k_(eff)0:97)with MA fraction increasing from 1 to 14%,the net^(233)U production increases from 3.94 to 8.24 t.

Thermogalvanic hydrogel-based e-skin for self-powered on-body dual-modal temperature and strain sensing

Sensing of both temperature and strain is crucial for various diagnostic and therapeutic ***,we present a novel hydrogel-based electronic skin(e-skin)capable of dual-mode sensing of temperature and *** thermocouple ion selected for this study is the iodine/triiodide(I−/I3−)redox couple,which is a common component in everyday *** leveraging the thermoelectric conversion in conjunction with the inherent piezoresistive effect of a gel electrolyte,self-powered sensing is achieved by utilizing the temperature difference between the human body and the external *** composite hydrogels synthesized from polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)monomers using a simple freeze‒thaw method exhibit remarkable flexibility,extensibility,and adaptability to human *** incorporation of zwitterions further augments the resistance of the hydrogel to dehydration and low temperatures,allowing maintenance of more than 90%of its weight after 48 h in the *** its robust thermal current response,the hydrogel was encapsulated and then integrated onto various areas of the human body,including the cheeks,fingers,and ***,the detection of the head-down state and the monitoring of foot movements demonstrate the promising application of the hydrogel in supervising the neck posture of sedentary office workers and the activity *** successful demonstration of self-powered on-body temperature and strain sensing opens up new possibilities for wearable intelligent electronics and robotics.

Strategies for improving extraction capacity through preorganization structure:A novel 5,6-bicyclicmalonamide extractant(THPPD)

Rational design of extractant structure to improve the extraction and separation capacity of rare earth elements(REEs)is a long-standing ***,a new strategy was proposed to improve the stability of the chelating structure formed by malonamide and *** stability of the chelating structure is greatly improved by using a double-ring framework structure which makes the two carbonyl groups of malonamide unable to rotate freely and both of them point to the metal ion *** benzyl groups were used to construct the hydrophobicity of the extractant and the organic shell of the extracted ***-pyrrolo-pyridine-dione(THPPD)was designed and *** structure reduces the energy consumed by rotating carbonyl group in the coordination with metal ions and then improves the extraction ability of *** crystal structure was preorganized as expected,with the two carbonyls pointing in a favorable coordination direction to the structural complement of the metal *** extraction behaviors of REEs with THPPD in a nitric acid medium were *** with N,N’-dibenzyl-N,N’-dimethylmalonamide(DBDM-MA)with a chain structure,the extraction capacity of THPPD is 360 times higher than that of DBDM-MA at 5.0 mol/L sodium ***,the binding energy and Gibbs free energy were investigated by density functional theory(DFT)in conjunction with the *** theoretical results show that THPPD has more effective interaction with Pr(NO_(3))3 than *** construction of chelating groups conformation is a worthy direction to improve the coordination ability and even selectivity of extractant.

Clarification of the dispersion mechanism of cathode slurry of lithium-ion battery under effects of both poly vinylidene fluoride/carbon black ratio and mixing time

This paper presents the effects of both poly vinylidene fluoride(PVDF)/carbon black(CB)ratio(m PVDF:m CB)and mixing time t on the dispersion mechanism of the cathode slurry of lithium-ion battery(LIB).The dispersion mechanism is deduced from the electrochemical,morphological and rheological properties of the cathode slurry by using electrical impedance spectroscopy(EIS),scanning electron microscopy and rheology methods,*** the perspective of EIS method,static simulation models are established in the COMSOL Multiphysics software;meanwhile,the simulated results are used to verify the correctness of the electrochemical properties of the cathode *** a result,the following conclusions are able to be ***,in the case of the mass ratio m_(PVDF):m_(CB)=5:10,LiCoO_(2) particles are completely coated by the mixture of CB and PVDF to form a stable polymer gel *** or lower m_(PVDF):m_(CB) leads to the larger impedance and worse dispersion status for the cathode ***,when t=6 min,a good gel-like conductive network structure is formed by coating the thinner evenly dispersed CB–PVDF double layer around LiCoO_(2) ***,a strategy regarding to both m_(PVDF):m_(CB) and t in experimental scale is proposed,which has the capability of improving the performance of LIB.

Tumor cells establish a robust self-defense system characterized by hypoxia,antioxidant overexpression,DNA damage repair,and so forth to resist *** one of these features is insufficient to overcome radioresistance due to the feedback mechanisms initiated by tumor cells under ***,we herein developed an engineering biomimetic nanosystem(M@HHPt)masked with tumor cell membranes and loaded with a hybridized protein-based nanoparticle carrying oxygens(O_(2))and cisplatin prodrugs(Pt(Ⅳ))to target multiple tumor radioresistance hallmarks for enhanced *** administration,M@HHPt actively targeted and smoothly accumulated in tumor cells by virtue of its innate homing abilities to realize efficient co-delivery of O_(2)and Pt(Ⅳ).O_(2)introduction induced hypoxia alleviation cooperated with Pt(Ⅳ)reduction caused glutathione consumption greatly amplified radiotherapy-ignited cellular oxidative ***,the released cisplatin effectively hindered DNA damage repair by crosslinking with radiotherapy-produced DNA ***,M@HHPt-sensitized radiotherapy significantly suppressed the proliferation of lung cancer H1975 cells with an extremely high sensitizer enhancement ratio of 1.91 and the progression of H1975 tumor models with an excellent tumor inhibition rate of 94.7%.Overall,this work provided a feasible strategy for tumor radiosensitization by overcoming multiple radioresistance mechanisms.
