Innovations in genomics have enabled the development of low-cost,high-resolution,single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)genotyping arrays that accelerate breeding progress and support basic research in crop science.Here,we developed and validated the Soy SNP618 K array(618,888 SNPs)for the important crop soybean.The SNPs were selected from whole-genome resequencing data containing 2,214 diverse soybean accessions;29.34%of the SNPs mapped to genic regions representing 86.85%of the 56,044annotated high-confidence genes.Identity-by-state analyses of 318 soybeans revealed 17 redundant accessions,highlighting the potential of the Soy SNP618 K array in supporting gene bank management.The patterns of population stratification and genomic regions enriched through domestication were highly consistent with previous findings based on resequencing data,suggesting that the ascertainment bias in the Soy SNP618 K array was largely compensated for.Genome-wide association mapping in combination with reported quantitative trait loci enabled fine-mapping of genes known to influence flowering time,E2 and Gm PRR3 b,and of a new candidate gene,Gm VIP5.Moreover,genomic prediction of flowering and maturity time in 502 recombinant inbred lines was highly accurate(>0.65).Thus,the Soy SNP618 K array is a valuable genomic tool that can be used to address many questions in applied breeding,germplasm management,and basic crop research.

Battery-grade lithium carbonate(li_(2)CO_(3))with a purity of higher than 99.5 wt%is of great importance as a high value-added lithium salt.However,influences of different reaction systems and process control on product purity remain unclear.Herein,a membrane dispersion microreactor was used to enhance the mass transfer of preparation and purification processes in homogeneous and heterogeneous system.Synthetic systems of Na_(2)CO_(3)–liCl,NH_(4)HCO_(3)–liCl,and NH_(3)·H_(2)O−CO_(2)−liCl,CO_(2)purification based on carbonation and decomposition were adopted.The li_(2)CO_(3)purity was increased by the improvement of mixing performance.The carbonation time was reduced by 62.5%and 58.3%for the NH_(3)·H_(2)O−CO_(2)and CO_(2)purification systems,respectively.In the two ammonia-based systems,li_(2)CO_(3)particles with a purity of 99.7–99.8 wt%were one-step prepared with a size of 3–5μm,which also met the requirement of the battery-grade standard.The purity was further increased to 99.9 wt%by CO_(2)purification and liHCO_(3)decomposition.The investigation could provide a feasible alternative for the controllable preparation of battery-grade li_(2)CO_(3)in one or multiple steps.

The biopharmaceutical industry contributes substantially to volatile organic compounds(VOCs)emissions,causing growing concerns and social developmental conflicts.This study conducted an on-site investigation of the process-based emission of VOCs from three biopharmaceutical enterprises.In the workshops of the three enterprises,26 VOCs were detected,which could be sorted into 4 classes:hydrocarbons,aromatic hydrocarbons,oxygen-containing compounds,and nitrogen-containing compounds.Ketones were the main components of waste gases,accounting for 44.13%-77.85%of the overall VOCs.Process-based source profiles were compiled for each process unit,with the fermentation and extraction units of tiamulin fumarate being the main source of VOC emissions.Dimethyl heptanone,vinyl acetate,diethylamine,propylene glycol methyl ether(PGME),and benzene were screened as priority pollutants through a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation system.Ground level concentration simulation results of the Gauss plume diffusion model demonstrated that the diffusivity of VOCs in the atmosphere was relatively high,indicating potential non-carcinogenic and carcinogenic risks 1.5-2 km downwind.Furthermore,the process-based formation potentials of ozone and secondary organic aerosols(SOAs)were determined and indicated that N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone,dimethyl heptanone,and PGME should be preferentially controlled to reduce the ozone formation potential,whereas the control of benzene and chlorobenzene should be prioritized to reduce the generation of SOAs.Our results provide a basis for understanding the characteristics of VOC emission by biopharmaceutical industries and their diffusion,potentially allowing the development of measures to reduce health risks and secondary pollution.

The seed storage materials accumulate during seed development,and are essential for seed germination and seedling establishment.Here we employed two bi-parental populations of an F2:3 population developed from a cross of improved 220(I220,small seeds with low starch)and PH4CV(large seeds with high starch),as well as recombinant-inbred lines(RILs)of X178(high starch)and its improved introgression line I178(low starch),to identify the genes that control seed storage materials.We identified a total of 12 QTLs for starch,protein and oil,which explained 3.44-10.79%of the phenotypic variances.Among them,qSTA2-1 identified in F2:3 and qSTA2-2 identified in the RILs partially overlapped at an interval of 7.314-9.554 Mb,and they explained 3.44-10.21%of the starch content variation,so they were selected for further study.Fine mapping of qSTA2-2 with the backcrossed populations of ^(I220)/PH4CV in each generation narrowed it down to a 199.7 kb interval that contains 14 open reading frames(ORFs).Transcriptomic analysis of developing seeds from the near-isogenic lines(NILs)of ^(I220)/PH4CV(BC_(5)F_(2))showed that only 11 ORFs were expressed in 20 days after pollination(DAP)seeds.Five of them were upregulated and six of them were downregulated in NIL^(I220),and the differentially expressed genes(deGs)between NIL^(I220) and NIL^(PH4CV) were enriched in starch metabolism,hormone signal transduction and glycosaminoglycan degradation.Of the eleven NIL^(I220) differential expressed ORFs,ORF4(Zm00001d002260)and ORF5(Zm00001d002261)carry 75%protein sequence similarity,both encodes an glycolate oxidase,were the possible candidates of qSTA2-2.Further analysis and validation indicated that mutation of the qSTA2-2 locus resulted in the dysfunction of ABA accumulation,the embryo/endosperm ratio and the starch and hormone levels.

AIM:To investigate the efficacy of aflibercept combined with sub-tenon injection of triamcinolone acetonide(TA)in treating diabetic macular edema(DME)and to examine changes in growth factors and inflammatory mediator levels in aqueous humor after injection.METHODS:Totally 67 DME patients(67 eyes)and 30 cataract patients(32 eyes)were enrolled as the DME group and the control group,respectively.The DME group was divided into the aflibercept group(34 cases)and the aflibercept combined with TA group(combined group,33 cases).The aqueous humor of both groups was collected during the study period.The aqueous levels of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1),interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-8(IL-8),and interleukin-1β(IL-1β)were detected using a microsphere suspension array technology(Luminex 200TM).Aqueous cytokines,best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA),central macular thickness(CMT),and complications before and after treatment were compared between the aflibercept group and combined group.RESULTS:The concentrations of VEGF,MCP-1,IL-6,and IL-8 in the aqueous humor were significantly higher in the DME group than those of the control group(all Plibercept group(all P0.05).CONCLUSION:The cytokines VEGF,MCP-1,IL-6,and IL-8 in the aqueous humor of DME patients are significantly increased.Aflibercept and aflibercept combined with TA have good efficacy in DME patients,can effectively reduce CMT,improve the patient’s vision,and have high safety.Aflibercept combined with TA can quickly downregulate the aqueous humor cytokines and help to relieve macular edema rapidly.However,the long-term efficacy is comparable to that of aflibercept alone

Although lithium-sulfur batteries（LSBs） exhibit high theoretical energy density,their practical application is hindered by poor conductivity of the sulfur cathode,the shuttle effect,and the irreversible deposition of li2S.To address these issues,a novel composite,using electrospinning technology,consisting of Fe3Se4and porous nitrogen-doped carbon nanofibers was designed for the interlayer of LSBs.The porous carbon nanofiber structure facilitates the transport of ions and electrons,while the Fe3Se4material adsorbs lithium polysulfides（liPSs） and accelerates its catalytic conversion process.Furthermore,the Fe3Se4material interacts with soluble liPSs to generate a new polysulfide intermediate,lixFeSycomplex,which changes the electrochemical reaction pathway and facilitates the three-dimensional deposition of li2S,enhancing the reversibility of LSBs.The designed LSB demonstrates a high specific capacity of1529.6 mA h g-1in the first cycle at 0.2 C.The rate performance is also excellent,maintaining an ultra-high specific capacity of 779.7 mA h g-1at a high rate of 8 C.This investigation explores the mechanism of the interaction between the interlayer and liPSs,and provides a new strategy to regulate the reaction kinetics and li2S deposition in LSBs.

Achievement of lithium(li)metal anode with thin thickness(e.g.,≤30µm)is highly desirable for rechargeable high energy density batteries.However,the fabrication and application of such thin li metal foil electrode remain challenging due to the poor mechanical processibility and inferior electrochemical performance of metallic li.Here,mechanico-chemical synthesis of robust ultrathin li/li_(3)P(LLP)composite foils(~15µm)is demonstrated by employing repeated mechanical rolling/stacking operations using red P and metallic li as raw materials.The in-situ formed li+-conductive li_(3)P nanoparticles in metallic li matrix and their tight bonding strengthen the mechanical durability and enable the successful fabrication of free-standing ultrathin li metal composite foil.Besides,it also reduces the electrochemical li nucleation barrier and homogenizes li plating/stripping behavior.When matching to high-voltage liCoO_(2),the full cell with a low negative/positive(N/P)capacity ratio of~1.5 offers a high energy density of~522 W·h·kg^(-1) at 0.5 C based on the mass of cathode and anode.Taking into account its facile manufacturing,potentially low cost,and good electrochemical performance,we believe that such an ultrathin composite li metal foil design with nanoparticle-dispersion-strengthened mechanism may boost the development of high energy density li metal batteries.

Catalytic anode surface enabling in situ polymerization of gel polymer electrolyte for stable li metal batteries

Employing quasi-solid-state gel polymer electrolyte(GPE)instead of the liquid counterpart has been regarded as a promising strategy for improving the electrochemical performance of li metal batteries.However,the poor and uneven interfacial contact between li metal anode and GPE could cause large interfacial resistance and electrochemical li stripping/plating inhomogeneity,deteriorating the electrochemical performance.Herein,we proposed that the functional component of composite anode could work as the catalyst to promote the in situ polymerization reaction,and we experimentally realized the integration of polymerized-dioxolane electrolyte and li/li_(22)Sn_(5)/liF composite electrode with low interfacial resistance and good stability by in situ catalyzation polymerization.Thus,the reaction kinetics and stability of metallic li anode were significantly enhanced.As a demonstration,symmetric cell using such a GPE-li/li_(22)Sn_(5)/liF integration achieved stable cycling beyond 250 cycles with small potential hysteresis of 25 mV at 1 mA·cm^(−2)and 1 mAh·cm^(−2),far outperforming the counterpart regular GPE on pure li.Paired with lini0.5Co0.3Mn0.2O2,the full cell with the GPE-li/li_(22)Sn_(5)/liF integration maintained 85.7%of the original capacity after 100 cycles at 0.5 C(1 C=200 mA·g^(−1)).Our research provides a promising strategy for reducing the resistance between GPE and li metal anode,and realizes li metal batteries with enhance electrochemical performance.

Distribution of per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances in blood,serum,and urine of patients with liver cancer and associations with liver function biomarkers

Studies have shown that per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances(PFASs)may be hepatotoxic in animals or humans.However,data on clinical epidemiology are very limited.In this study,21PFASs were determined in patients with liver diseases,with the highest median concentrations detected in the serum sample(26.7 ng/mL),followed by blood(10.7 ng/mL)and urine(5.02 ng/mL).Higher total PFAS concentrations were found in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)patients compared to non-HCC patients,with significant discrepancies in serum and blood samples.Besides,significant correlations were also found among PFAS concentrations and age,gender,body mass index(BMI),and liver function biomarkers levels.For example,PFAS concentrations are significantly higher in males than in females;Several serum PFASs concentrations increase with age and BMI,while the serum perfluorohexane sulfonic acid(PFHxS)concentrations are negatively correlated with age.In addition,multiple regression models adjusted for age,gender and BMI found that increased serum perfluorobutane sulfonic acid(PFBS),perfluoroheptane sulfonic acid(PFHpS)and perfluorohexylphosphonic acid(PFHxPA)conentrations are correlated with elevated alkaline phosphatase(ALP),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),and alpha-fetoprotein(AFP)(pde epidemiological support for the future study on the potential clinical hepatotoxicity of PFAS.
