The emergence of antiretroviral resistance mutations represents a major threat to the achievement of national and global goals for the elimination of HIv-1 infection. The global strategy in 2019 in Cte d'Ivoire is a new national policy for the management of people living with HIv with the administration of dolutegravir (DTG)-based fixed-dose combination. The aim of our study was to evaluate HIv-1 resistance to antiretrovirals (ARvs) in infected adult subjects in Cte d’Ivoire in the context of a systematic switch to a DTG-based combination. Between February 2022 and October 2023, a cross-sectional survey with random sampling was conducted in 06 services caring for people living with HIv. A total of 139 participants were included in the study. Adults with a viral load ≥ 1000 copies/mL were tested for HIv-1 ARv resistance mutations. Molecular analyses were performed using protocol of ANRS-MIE (National Agency for Research on AIDS and emerging infectious diseases). The interpretation is performed by HIvGRAD (https://***/cms/grade/). The frequencies of HIv-1 resistance to non-nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs), nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs), integrase inhibitors (IINTs) and protease inhibitors (PIs) were 82%, 73%, 19% and 11% respectively. The main mutations observed in the different classes were K103N (45%), M184v (64%), E157Q (19%) and L10v/M46I/A71v/I54v (6%) respectively. This study reveals the emergence of resistance to DTG-based fixed-dose combinations, favored by high rates of resistance to NRTIs and NNRTIs. This finding underlines the need for enhanced viral load monitoring and HIv-1 genotyping tests to guide the choice of NRTIs for combination therapy. In addition, monitoring for mutations to second-generation NRTIs is essential, given the scale-up of DTG-based regimens currently underway in Cte d’Ivoire.

Transition metal sulfides have been regarded as promising anode materials for sodium-ion batteries(SIB).However,they face the challenges of poor electronic conductivity and large volume change,which result in capacity fade and low rate *** this work,a composite containing ultrasmall CoS(~7 nm)nanoparticles embedded in heteroatom(N,S,and O)-doped carbon was synthesized by an efficient one-step sulfidation process using a Co(Salen)*** ultrasmall CoS nanoparticles are beneficial for mechanical stability and shortening Na-ions diffusion ***,the N,S,and O-doped defect-rich carbon provides a robust and highly conductive framework enriched with active sites for sodium storage as well as mitigates volume expansion and polysulfide *** anode for SIB,CoS@HDC exhibits a high initial capacity of 906 mA h g^(-1)at 100 mA g^(-1)and a stable long-term cycling life with over 1000 cycles at 500 mA g^(-1),showing a reversible capacity of 330 mA h g^(-1).Meanwhile,the CoS@HDC anode is proven to maintain its structural integrity and compositional reversibility during ***,Na-ion full batteries based on the CoS@HDC anode and Na_(3)v_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)cathode demonstrate a stable cycling behavior with a reversible specific capacity of~200 m A h g^(-1)at least for 100 ***,advanced synchrotron operando X-ray diffraction,ex-situ X-ray absorption spectroscopy,and comprehensive electrochemical tests reveal the structural transformation and the Co coordination chemistry evolution of the CoS@HDC during cycling,providing fundamental insights into the sodium storage mechanism.

Spatial avoidance of patches of polluted chernozem soils by soil invertebrates

Soil invertebrates and heavy metal concentrations are heterogeneously distributed in the soil of steppe plots surrounding an iron mining enterprise in southern Russia. This study assesses whether patches of high soil invertebrate abundance coincide with patches of low concentrations of pollutants. For this aim, spatial analysis by distance indices （SADIE） was applied. Three valleys in Belogorye Nature Reserve were chosen. One valley faced the tailing pond to the north and the other two faced south-east or south-west. Two sampling plots were chosen in each valley, 60 m apart from each other. On every plot 16 soil cores were collected from a grid of 4 × 4 units with a 5-m distance between each sample unit. Each soil core had an area of 76 cm2 and was 12-15 cm deep. All macroinvertebrates were hand-sorted and identified to family. Abundance of soil invertebrates was not controlled by patches of metal concentration in the soil. Epigaeic groups, like insects and other invertebrates inhabiting the litter layer, were not directly associated with local parameters of the soil. On the contrary, belowground invertebrate abundance （elaterid larvae and earthworms） showed significant dissociation with some heavy metal （Fe, Pb, Zn） concentrations in the soil. The patchiness of soil pollution may act as a leading factor ofbelowground soil invertebrate distribution. The spatial structure of animal populations in industrially transformed soils needs further research.

An unusual feature of the saline stratified lakes that were formed due to ongoing postglacial uplift on the White Sea coast is the presence of several differently colored thin layers in the zone with sharp gradients. Colored layers in five lakes at various stages of separation from the sea were investigated using optical microscopy, spectrophotometry, spectrofluorimetry, and photobiology. The upper greenish colored layer located in the aerobic strata of all lakes near the compensation depth of 1% light penetration contains green algae. In the chemocline, another layer, brightly green, red or pink, is dominated by mixotrophic flagellates. Despite the very low light intensities and the presence of H 2 S, active photosynthesis by these algae appears to be occurring, as indicated by high values of the maximum quantum yield of primary photochemistry, electron transport activity, photosynthetic activity of photosystem II, the fraction of active centers, and low values of heat dissipation. In the reduced zone of the chemocline, a dense green or brown suspension of anoxygenic phototrophs(green sulfur bacteria) is located.

Influence of monovalent Bi^+doping on real composition,point defects,and photoluminescence in TlCdCl3 and TlCdI3 single crystals

The structural features and real compositions with point defects of Bi+-doped TlCdCl_3 and TlCdI_3 single crystals, grown by the Bridgman-Stockbarger technique, are first studied using the X-ray diffraction, X-ray synchrotron radiation, and EXAFS/XANES spectroscopy. In the structures of Bi^+-doped TlCdCl_3 and TlCdI_3 crystals, the Cd, Cl, and I sites are found to be defect-free. The vacancies in the Tl sites and interstitial Bi atoms located in the vicinity of the Tl sites are detected in the structures of both samples. In the Bi^+-doped TlCdCl_3, the presence of a small amount of Bi^+ ions in the Tl^+ sites is possible. The correlation between photoluminescence bands and point defects in the refined structures are determined. Photoluminescence spectra and decay kinetics of the Bi+-doped TlCdCl_3 and TlCdI_3 demonstrate that they are attractive materials for potential applications in photonics.

Mixed phase sodium manganese oxide as cathode for enhanced aqueous zinc-ion storage

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries have been regarded as a promising alternative to large-scale energy storage, due to associated low-cost, improved safety and environmental friendliness. However, a high-performance cathode material for both rate capability and specific capacity is still a challenge. One kind of the more promising candidates are sodium manganese oxide(NMO) materials, although they suffer from individual issues and need to be further improved. Herein, we present a novel mixed phase NMO material composed of nearly equal amounts of Na(0.55)Mn2O4 and Na(0.7)MnO(2.05). The structured configuration with particle size of 200–500 nm is found to be beneficial towards improving the ion diffusion rate during the charge/discharge process. Compared with Na(0.7)MnO(2.05) and Na(0.55)Mn2O4, the mixed phase NMO demonstrates an enhanced rate capability and excellent long-term cycling stability with a capacity retention of 83% after 800 cycles. More importantly, the system also delivers an impressive energy density and power density, as 378 W·h·kg^-1 at 68.7 W·kg^-1, or 172 W·h·kg^-1 at 1705 W·kg^-1. The superior electrochemical performance is ascribed to the fast Zn^2+ diffusion rate because of a large ratio of capacitive contribution(63.9% at 0.9 m v·s^-1). Thus, the mixed phase route provides a novel strategy to enhance electrochemical performance, enabling mixed phase NMO as very promising material towards large-scale energy-storage applications.

A detailed reconstruction of changes in the factors and parameters of soil erosion over the past 250 years in the forest zone of European Russia(Moscow region)

Accelerated soil erosion is a major threat to soil,and there are great variations in the rate of soil erosion over time due to natural and human-induced *** temperate forest zone of Russia is character-ized by complex stages of land-use history(*** urbanization,agricultural development,land abandonment,etc.).We have for the first time estimated the rates of soil erosion by the WaTEM/SEDEM model(rainfall erosion)and by a regional model(snowmelt erosion)over the past 250 years(from 1780 to 2019)for a 100-km2 study site in the Moscow region of *** calculations were made on the basis of a detailed historical reconstruction of the following factors:the location of the arable land,crop rotation,the rain erosivity factor,and the maximum snow water *** area of arable land has decreased more than 3.5-fold over the past 250 *** the end of the 20th century,the rates of gross erosion had declined more than 5.5-fold(from 28×10^(3) to 5×10^(3) t·ha^(-1)yr^(-1))in comparison with the end of the 18th *** in the boundaries of arable land and also the relief features had led to a significant intra-slope accumulation of *** a result of sediment redeposition within the arable land,the variation in net soil erosion was significantly lower than the variation in gross soil *** changes in arable land area and in crop composition are the factors that have to the greatest extent determined the changes in soil erosion in this territory.

Calculating the thermal properties of 93,94,95Mo using the BCS model with an average value gap parameter

The gap parameter of the standard BCS model is replaced by the order parameter of the modified Ginzburg–Landau theory. Using this new form of the BCS model, the energy, entropy, and heat capacity of ^(93,94,95)Mo nuclei are calculated. The results are compared with the experimental data and standard BCS results. Since the order parameter does not drop to zero at a critical temperature, our results for thermal properties are free of singularities. We have shown that the heat capacity as a function of temperature behaves smoothly and it is highly in agreement with the experimental heat capacity, while heat capacity behaves singularly and discontinuously in the standard BCS model.A smooth peak in the heat capacity is observed which is interpreted as a signature of the transition from the superfluid to the normal phase.
