Foot ulceration is one of the most debilitating complications associated with diabetes,but its cause remains poorly *** studies have been undertaken to understand healing kinetics or find possible therapies to enhance ***,few studies have been directed at understanding the immunological alterations that could influence wound healing in *** this study,we analysed the T-cell receptor(TCR)repertoire diversity in TCR-αβ^(+)T *** also analysed the distribution and phenotype of T cells obtained from the peripheral blood of healthy controls and diabetic individuals with or without foot *** results showed that diabetic individuals,especially those with foot ulcers,have a significantly lower naive T-cell number and a poorer TCR-Vβrepertoire *** also showed that the reduced TCR-Vβrepertoire diversity in diabetic individuals was mainly owing to the accumulation of effector T cells,the major source of tumour necrosis factor-αproduction,which was even more pronounced in patients with acute foot ***,the expression of several inflammatory chemokine receptors was significantly reduced in diabetic *** conclusion,effector T-cell accumulation and TCR repertoire diversity reduction appear to precede the development of foot *** finding may open new immunological therapeutic possibilities and provide a new prognostic tool in diabetic wound care.

Genetic factors and gene polymorphisms leading to the onset of autoimmune response in autoimmune hepatitis(AIH)are still not full *** the CTLA-4 molecule is a key modulator of the lymphocytes responses we hypothezied that deficiencies or mutations in the gene encoding CTLA4 protein may be involved in AIH susceptibility and trigger the autoimmune *** investigated 3 distinct polymorphic sites(t49A>G,CT60 G>A and e318C>T)of the CTLA4 gene in 50 AIH patients and 100 healthy controls using the KAsP genotyping technology.A significant positive association with AIH susceptibility was found for the GG genotype in t49 position of the CTLA4 gene which was significantly higher in AIH patients compared to controls(28%vs 9%,pZ0.003,ORZ3.93[1.56e9.88]).The CTLA4 A/A genotype in position CT60 was more significantly frequent in controls comparing to AIH patients and could be considered as a protective genotype for the tunisian ***4 genotyping in position318 did not show any statistically significant difference in genotype or allele *** CTLA4 gene polymorphism in position t49 is associated to AIH susceptibility in the Tunisian *** in the CTLA4 gene may lead to a modification of the CTLA4 protein structure that could have functional relevance in AIH pathogenesis and onset.

Objective:To study the digenean parasites of the prosobranch gastropods,Littorina littorea(***)and Gibbula umbilicalis(***)from rocky shores of the Northern Atlantic coast of ***:A total of 413 *** and 2603 *** were collected from rocky shores,at Aveiro estuary,Aguda Beach,and Foz Beach at Porto(Northern Atlantic coast of Portugal)from January to July 2014 and February 2014 to January 2015,*** and digestive glands of the gastropods were examined under light microscopy for the presence of *** gonads of *** were prepared for histological observation,whereas digeneans found in *** were studied and identified with the aid of light and scanning electron ***:Two species of digeneans were found infecting the digestive gland and gonads of ***,namely,Cainocreadium labracis and Lecithochirium furcolabiatum with a combined prevalence of 3%.Histological observations of gonads of *** revealed the infection with digeneans,with considerable replacement of gonadal *** digeneans were not identified to species *** prevalence of digeneans in this snail host was 0.7%.Conclusions:The present study adds *** as another first intermediate host for Cainocreadium labracis and extends its geographical range to the Portuguese Atlantic *** of Lecithochirium furcolabiatum were previously reported from ***.A literature review of digeneans occurring in the gastropod genera Gibbula and Littorina is given.

Covered by ultrabasic units for more than a third of its surface,the New Caledonia(south West Pacific)is one of the largest world producers of Ni-ore from lateritic *** all outcrops of geological units and open mines contain serpentine and amphibole,also as asbestos *** this geological context,in which weathering processes had a great contribution in the production and dispersion of mineral fibres into the environment,the development of a routinely analytical strategy,able to discriminate an asbestiform fibre from a non-harmful particle,is a pivotal ***,the acquisition of all these parameters is necessary for determining the risk associated to fibres exposition.A multidisciplinary routinely approach,based on the use of complementary simply-to-use but reliable analytical methods is the only possible *** addition,the instrumental apparatus must be easily transportable on the field,directly on the mining *** employment of specialized tools such as Polarized Light Microscopy associated to Dispersion staining method(PLM/Ds)and portable Raman spectroscopy for identification of environmental asbestos,are proved extremely effective in the improvement of the performance and rapidity of data acquisition and *** PLM/Ds and handheld Raman devices confirmed to be discriminant in the detection and characterization of asbestos fibres for both serpentine and ***,these techniques proved extremely effective even in the presence of strongly fibrous and altered samples.

In this work,nine different types of edible coating based on pectin,cellulose nanocrystals,glycerol,and essential oil of lemongrass were prepared and used to coat strawberries with a film formed directly on the surface of the coated *** effects of the different edible coatings on refrigerated fruits in terms of weight loss,titratable acidity,total soluble solids,pH,and anthocyanin content was evaluated after 2 days,4 days,6 days,and 8 days of *** of the edible coatings reduced the weight loss of the coated strawberries and the anthocyanin *** total soluble solids content of or uncoated fruit increase more markedly than that of coated *** contrast,pH was maintained for both coated and uncoated *** edible coatings were effective in minimizing of the weight loss,without worsening the physical chemistry *** treatments T5 and T9 presented the best results.

Hybrid combinations of Eucalyptus have increased due to expansion of plantations into unconventional areas and to the search for higher quality ***,most of these species have difficulties surviving in vitro *** chlorine and sealing systems are often used to reduce contamination and increase gas *** aim of the present study is to evaluate the establishment,multiplication,elongation and adventitious rooting of *** × *** clones(C1 and C2) and four active chlorine concentrations(0.000%,0.001%,0.003%,and 0.005%) were tested in the establishment and multiplication *** sealing forms(W/M,1/M and 3/M) and the same four active chlorine concentrations were applied to the elongation *** luminosities(dark and light)and three sealings(W/M,1/M and 3/M) were tested during adventitious *** chlorine concentration of0.005% led to the lowest fungal contamination rate and to the highest in vitro *** chlorine concentration of 0.003% resulted in the greatest length and highest number of shoots per explant in the multiplication *** were no phytotoxicity problems and the quality of plants grown in an environment with active chlorine was maintained in comparison with those grown in an *** increase in gas exchange in ventilation systems had a positive impact on the in vitro growth and development of plants.

Caatinga is a typical biome of Brazil's semiarid regions and subject to climate *** is needed on the relation of its features to climate *** study analyzed the infl uence of rainfall and its irregularities in open and dense woody Caatinga *** curves were generated by means of Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI)time profiles in the Grota do Angico Conservation Unit study area in sergipe *** data from 2000 to 2018 were collected and phenological curves generated using various estimate methods that produced the following variables:[start of season,end of season,peak of season position,length of season,mean growing season and maximum seasonal].Rainfall showed a standard intra-annual behavior,with inter-annual variations related to irregularities infl uencing Caatinga *** Caatinga vegetation had higher values of NDVI in all periods,even in anomalous years compared to open Caatinga,in addition to having longer leaf coverage over the year,with an anticipated start and a more extended seasonal *** analysis of the rainfall regime made it possible to assess its infl uence on the Caatinga and phenological profiles proved to be fundamental to understand periods of physiological change of open and dense *** results indicate that dense Caatinga maintains physiological activity longer,which may be associated with greater moisture maintenance in a semiarid *** addition,because it has a greater leaf cover for longer periods,the soil may be preserved and maintain its characteristics longer,reducing the effects of *** results may be associated with the type of forest management and conservation in this *** total or partial suppression of individual remnants of Caatinga should be avoided,since the most open areas have lower photosynthetic capacity,affected to a considerable extent from the effects of adverse climatic ***,open Caatinga has a reduced cap

The objective of this paper is to show an alternative model of a non-transposed three-phase transmission line with a vertical symmetry plane in phase domain. Due the line physical characteristics, it can be represented by a system consisting of a single?phase and a two-phase line. In this system, the equations describing the behavior of the values in single-phase line terminals are known, while the equations for two-phase line to be obtained. Using a transformation matrix written explicitly according to three-phase line parameters, it is possible to obtain the currents and voltages in phase domain of two-phase line. Then, modal values of three-phase line are converted into phase domain and thus obtain the analytical model for this line. To verify the performance of this model, it was used to simulate the energization of a 440 kV three-phase line and the results were compared to results obtained using a classical model.
