Nanoparticles of refractory compounds represent a class of stable materials showing a great promise to support localized surface plasmon resonances(LSPRs)in both visible and near infrared(NIR)spectral *** is still challenging to rationally tune the LSPR band because of the difficulty to control the density of charge carriers in individual refractory nanoparticles and maintain the dispersity of nanoparticles in the processes of synthesis and *** this work,controlled chemical transformation of titanium dioxide(TiO_(2))nanoparticles encapsulated with mesoporous silica(SiO_(2))shells to titanium nitride(TiN)via nitridation reaction at elevated temperatures is developed to tune the density of free electrons in the resulting titanium-oxide-nitride(TiO_(x)N_(y))*** tunability enables a flexibility to support LSPR-based optical absorption in the synthesized TiO_(x)N_(y)@SiO_(2) core-shell nanoparticles across both the visible and NIR *** silica shells play a crucial role in preventing the sintering of TiO_(x)N_(y) nanoparticles in the nitridation reaction and maintaining the stability of TiOxNy nanoparticles in *** LSPR-based broadband absorption of light in the TiO_(x)N_(y)@SiO_(2) nanoparticles exhibits strong photothermal effect with photo-to-thermal conversion efficiency as high as〜76%.

AIM: To describe the histology of the digestive tract and to investigate the occurrence of endocrine cells in Oligosarcus hepsetus (O. hepsetus ). METHODS: The digestive tract (DT) of O. hepsetus was divided into esophagus, two stomach regions (glandular and non-glandular) and two intestinal regions (anterior and posterior). These specimens were processed by routine histological techniques and stained with hematoxylin-eosin, gomori's trichrome, periodic acid Schiff (PAS) and Alcian blue (AB). An immunohistochemical method using avidin-biotin-peroxidase was ***: The esophagus is lined with a non-keratinized stratified squamous epithelium that is reactive to PAS and AB. The stomach has a mucosa lined with a simple columnar epithelium with mucus-secreting cells that are reactive only to PAS. The intestine has a simple columnar epithelium with a brush border and goblet cells that are reactive to PAS and AB. Somatostatin, serotonin and cholecystokinin immunoreactive cells were identified throughout the ***: This study revealed adaptations for the species' diet and showed that the distribution and relative frequency of immunoreactive cells are similar to those of other fish.

Drug-induced autoimmune hepatitis(DIAIH)is a specific phenotype of druginduced liver injury that may lead to the devastating outcome of acute liver failure requiring liver *** implicated in DIAIH include antimicrobials such as nitrofurantoin and minocycline,non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs,statins as well as anti-tumor necrosis *** clinical features of druginduced liver injury are indistinguishable from idiopathic autoimmune hepatitis(AIH)as both may have positive AIH-related autoantibodies,elevated immunoglobulin g,as well as similar histopathological *** patients who show no clinical improvement,or there is progressive liver injury despite cessation of the suspected drug,a liver biopsy should be considered,whereby the presence of advance fibrosis on histology favors the diagnosis of idiopathic *** treatment with corticosteroids may be required in patients with non-resolving liver injury.A typical clinical scenario supportive of DIAIH includes a history of drug exposure with spontaneous resolution of liver injury after drug withdrawal and the absence of relapse after rapid steroid *** this article we report two cases of DIAIH secondary to Sorafenib and Atorvastatin along with a review of currently available *** identification and treatment often lead to a favorable outcome in DIAIH.

Physical activity data in primary school-aged children are limited in *** tools to measure social ecological influences on physical activity are validated in English,they are not available in *** to cultural and contextual differences,their psychometric properties need to be *** scales were translated into Vietnamese and evaluated for internal consistency and test re-test reliability,including self-efficacy,perceived social influences,and beliefs self-administered by students,and parental support for physical activity and parental perceived safety of the neighbourhood,self-administered by *** to the original scales,two items from the parental perceived neighbourhood safety were removed due to the cultural *** item of the self-efficacy scale was also removed as it correlated poorly with the other items in the scale at both *** adjusted scales were found to be reliable and appropriate for use among students and parents to measure social ecological influences on physical activity in the Vietnamese context.
