In this paper,the numerical simulation method is used to study the ballistic performances of hourglass lattice sandwich structures with the same mass under the vertical incidence of *** is paid to elucidating the influences of rod cross-section dimensions,structure height,structure layer,and rod inclination angle on the deformation mode,ballistic performances,and ability to change the ballistic direction of *** results show that the ballistic performances of hourglass lattice sandwich structures are mainly affected by their structural *** this respect,structural parameters optimization of the hourglass lattice sandwich structures enable one to effectively improve their ballistic limit velocity and,consequently,ballistic performances.

A resilience-incorporated risk assessment framework is proposed and demonstrated in this study to manifest the advantageous seismic resilience of precast concrete frame(PCF)structures with“dry”connections in terms of their low damage and rapid *** framework integrates various uncertainties in the seismic hazard,fragility,capacity,demand,loss functions,and post-earthquake *** this study,the PCF structures are distinguished from ordinary reinforced concrete frame(RCF)structures by characterizing multiple limit states for the PCF based on its unique damage ***,probabilistic story-wise pushover analyses are performed to yield story-wise capacities for the predefined limit *** the seismic resilience analysis,a step-wise recovery model is proposed to idealize the functionality recovery process,with separate considerations of the repair and non-repair *** recovery model leverages the economic loss and downtime to delineate the stochastic post-earthquake recovery curves for the resilience loss *** such,contingencies in the probabilistic post-earthquake repairs are incorporated and the empirical judgments on the recovery parameters are largely *** proposed framework is demonstrated through a comparative study between two“dry”connected PCFs and one RCF designed as alternative structural systems for a prototype *** results from the risk quantification indicate that the PCFs show reduced loss hazards and lower expected losses relative to the ***,the PCF equipped with energy dissipation devices at the“dry”connections largely reduces the expected economic loss,downtime,and resilience loss by 29%,56%,and 60%,respectively,compared to the RCF.

With the development of virtual reality (VR) technology, more and more industries are beginning to integrate with VR technology. In response to the problem of not being able to directly render the lighting effect of Caideng in digital Caideng scenes, this article analyzes the lighting model. It combines it with the lighting effect of Caideng scenes to design an optimized lighting model algorithm that fuses the bidirectional transmission distribution function (BTDF) model. This algorithm can efficiently render the lighting effect of Caideng models in a virtual environment. And using image optimization processing methods, the immersive experience effect on the VR is enhanced. Finally, a Caideng roaming interactive system was designed based on this method. The results show that the frame rate of the system is stable during operation, maintained above 60 fps, and has a good immersive experience.

Seasonal flu,primarily caused by influenza A H1N1 and H3N2 subtype viruses or influenza B viruses,is the most prevalent respiratory tract infection globally and leads to substantial morbidity andmortality *** the influenza virus being initially recognized as a respiratory pathogenwithwell-characterized transmission through respiratory droplets,its impact on the ocular epithelium and associated gene expression remains relatively *** this study,we investigated the transcriptional profiles of immortalized human corneal epithelial cells(HCE-S)and A549 human lung epithelial cells infected with H1N1 and H3N2 influenza *** comparison with A549 cells,a reduced number of differentially expressed geneswas observed in HCE-S upon influenza virus ***,there was a significant upregulation of the genes IFI44L and OAS1,along with lower release of the CCL5/RANTES ***,our findings revealed uniquely upregulated LGALS9(encoding galectin-9)in HCE-S following infection with the 2009 pandemic H1N1 ***,targeted knockdown of LGALS9 in these cells resulted in a measurable decrease in viral infection,highlighting its role in the cellular responses to influenza virus and suggesting a novel avenue for antiviral ***,our findings provide insight into the distinct mechanisms of influenza virus interactions with different epithelial cells and underscore the importance of studying the ocular surface in understanding influenza pathogenesis.

Objective:Hepatolenticular degeneration (HLD) is an autosomal recessive disorder that manifests as multiorgan damage due to impaired copper (Cu) metabolism. Female patients with HLD often experience reproductive impairments. This study investigated the protective effect of berberine against ovarian damage in toxic-milk (TX) mice, a murine model for ***:Mice were categorized into control group, HLD TX group (HLD group), penicillamine (Cu chelator)-treated TX group and berberine-treated TX group. Body weight, ovary weight and the number of ovulated eggs were recorded. Follicular morphology and cellular ultrastructure were examined. Total iron, ferrous iron (Fe2+) and trivalent iron (Fe3+) levels, as well as malondialdehyde (MDA), glutathione(GSH) and oxidized glutathione (GSSG), were measured in the ovaries. Western blot analysis was used to analyze the expression of proteins related to ferroptosis and endoplasmic reticulum (ER) ***:Ovarian tissue damage was evident in the HLD group, with a significant increase in ferroptosis and ER stress compared to the control group. This damage was inhibited by treatment with penicillamine,a Cu chelator. Compared with the HLD group, berberine increased the number of ovulations, and improved ovarian morphology and ultrastructure. Further, we found that berberine reduced total iron,Fe2+, MDA and GSSG levels, elevated GSH levels, decreased the expression of the ferroptosis marker protein prostaglandin-endoperoxide synthase 2 (PTGS2), and increased glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4)expression. Furthermore, berberine inhibited the expression of ER stress-associated proteins mediated by the protein kinase RNA-like ER kinase (PERK) ***:Ferroptosis and ER stress are involved in Cu-induced ovarian damage in TX mice. Berberine ameliorates ovarian damage in HLD TX mice by inhibiting ferroptosis and ER stress.

Bacterial pathogens destroy the structural integrity of functional organs in fish,leading to severe challenges in the aquaculture *** D_(3)(VD_(3))prevents bacterial infections and strengthens immune system function via vitamin D receptor(VDR).However,the correlation between VD_(3)/VDR and the structural integrity of functional organs remains *** study aimed to investigate the influence of VD_(3)supplementation on histological characteristics,apoptosis,and tight junction characteristics in fish intestine during pathogen infection.A total of 540 healthy grass carp(257.24±0.63 g)were fed different levels of VD_(3)(15.2,364.3,782.5,1,167.9,1,573.8,and 1,980.1 IU/kg)for 70 ***,fish were challenged with Aeromonas hydrophila,a pathogen that causes intestinal *** present study demonstrated that optimal supplementation with VD_(3)(1)alleviated intestinal structural damage,and inhibited oxidative damage by reducing levels of oxidative stress biomarkers;(2)attenuated excessive apoptosisrelated death receptor and mitochondrial pathway processes in relation to p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling(P<0.05);(3)enhanced tight junction protein expression by inhibiting myosin light chain kinase signaling(P<0.05);and(4)elevated VDR isoform expression in fish intestine(P<0.05).Overall,the results demonstrated that VD_(3)alleviates oxidative injury,apoptosis,and the destruction of tight junction protein under pathogenic infection,thereby strengthening pathogen defenses in the *** finding supports the rationale for VD_(3)intervention as an essential practice in sustainable aquaculture.

Tropical cyclones typically form over warm tropical and subtropical ocean surfaces, as their formation and intensification rely primarily on the energy provided by the ocean. Pioneering research by Gray (1968) revealed that the formation of tropical cyclones requires the sea surface temperature (SST) to be no less than 26.5℃. Consequently, SST is commonly recognized as a crucial parameter among the environmental factors influencing tropical cyclone formation(Gray, 1979;Emanuel and Nolan, 2004).

In nature,aflatoxins,especially aflatoxin B1(AFB1),are the common mycotoxins,which cause serious health problems for humans and *** paper aimed to study the effects of AFB1 on flesh flavor and muscle development of grass carp(Ctenopharyngodon idella)and its *** were 1440 individual fish in total,with 6 treatments and each treatment replicated 3 *** 6 treatments were fed a control diet with different doses of AFB1(0.04,29.48,58.66,85.94,110.43 and 146.92μg/kg diet)for 60 ***1 increased myofiber diameter,as well as decreased myofiber density of grass carp muscle(Pdant enzyme(glutathione peroxidase,glutathione,glutathione reductase,total antioxidant capacity,anti-superoxide anion,and anti-hydroxyl radical)were decreased(P<0.05)with the dietary AFB1 *** addition,dietary AFB1 decreased the content of collagen,and downregulated the mRNA and protein levels of transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β)/Smads signaling pathway in grass carp muscle(P<0.05).The mRNA and protein levels of myogenic regulatory factors were downregulated in grass carp muscle(P<0.05).Furthermore,the activities of matrix metalloproteinase-2(MMP-2)and matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9)were increased(P<0.05),and the protein levels of phosphorylate-38 mitogen-activated protein kinase(p-p38MAPK),phosphorylate-c-Jun N-terminal kinase,urokinase-type plasminogen activator(uPA),MMP-2 and MMP-9 were upregulated(P<0.05),but collagenⅠ,lamininβ1 and fibronectin were downregulated(P<0.05)with the dietary AFB1 increased in the muscle of grass *** on the results of this study,we can draw the following conclusion:dietary AFB1 might damage flesh flavor and inhibit the muscle development through MAPK/uPA/MMP/extrac

The CO_(2)reduction into carbon-contained fuel via solar energy offers the powerful tools to realize the zero-emission carbon *** to the intriguing features of the two-dimensional(2D)heterostructures,it is susceptible to modulate the electronic structure as well as the surface geometry for optimizing the photocatalytic CO_(2)*** this perspective,we surveyed the fundamental insights of 2D semiconductor heterostructures,involving the fabrication strategies and classification of the 2D semiconductor ***,we have detailly discussed the overview of 2D semiconductor heterostructure for optimizing CO_(2)photocatalytic influenced factors,including the solar energy utilization,photogenerated carriers separation,and redox reaction ***,we showed the significant advantages of 2D heterostructures in elevating CO_(2)photoreduction performance,focusing on activity,selectivity and *** analyzing the limitations and developments,we ended by putting forward insights into the further researches about the CO_(2)photocatalysts and reactor design,even industrial applications.
