Nitrogen-doped porous carbon materials（NPCs） have been successfully fabricated by a simple one-step pyrolysis of diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid（DTPA） in the presence of KOH. The as-synthesized NPCs displayed a high specific surface area(3214 m;g;) and a well-defined porous structure when the annealing temperature reached 800 ℃, which showed superior electrochemical performance as supercapacitor electrode materials. Electrochemical tests showed that the NPCs achieved an impressive specific capacitance of 323 F g;at a current density of 0.5 A g;in 6 M KOH aqueous solution and an outstanding cycle stability, negligible specific capacitance decay after 5000 cycles at 10 A g;. This strategy offered a new insight into the preparation of novel carbon materials for the advanced energy storage devices, such as supercapacitors, fuel cells and lithium ion batteries.

Ventricular remodeling （VR） can be induced by myocardial injury, leading to progressive cardiac dysfunction and heart failure, and is associated with high morbidity and mortality. Despite being studied for more than 3 decades, current therapeutic strategies still remain unsatisfactory in efficacy, expensive, and with side effects and drug resistances. Chinese medicine （CM） has been used to treat heart diseases for thousands of years. This article reviews the published studies on the mechanisms and therapeutic applications of CM in VR. The major aspects include： mechanistic studies of VR, molecular biology and myocardial functional studies of CM therapies on VR, and mechanism of CM therapies on VR.

Dear editor,Adults with community-acquired methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(CA-MRSA)are prone to necrotizing pneumonia,bacteremia,and high *** studies have reported the disease worldwide,but only a few cases of CA-MRSA pneumonia in children and adolescents have been reported in China.[1]No CA-MRSA was detected in the pathogens of community-acquired respiratory tract infections in Chinese adults from 2009 to *** the influenza epidemic,such as COVID-19,viral infections are followed by repeated bacterial infections,and methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus aureus(MSSA)and MRSA pneumonia are known complications.[2]Thus,identifying and treating these infections is a tricky clinical issue.A case of CA-MRSA pneumonia with bloodstream infection and pneumothorax was successfully treated in our hospital in January ***,we presented a case report based on previous studies.

As institutions of higher education continue to internationalize, the number of exchanged students climbs ever higher in China. It is important to know what they have gained in the intercultural learning experiences in terms of attitudes, awareness, and knowledge, which are the three constructed dimensions of Intercultural Competence in this study. A qualitative research is conducted by using interview and seven English language learners are investigated to explore their learning outcomes in the intercultural learning program. From the thematic analysis of the interviews, it can be found that these English language learners＇ intercultural competence has been improved during their stay in USA. They successfully overcome cultural shock, hold positive attitudes toward target culture and people, become more confident in English study, and acquire more cultural knowledge. The research outcomes contribute to promoting intercultural learning effectiveness and improving learners＇ intercultural competence.
