Dear Editor,Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome virus(SFTSV),an emerging pathogen,is a tick-borne bunyavirus belonging to the genus Bandavirus in the family Phenuiviridae(Kuhn et al.,2020).This pathogen was first identified in China during the heightened surveillance of acute febrile illness in 2009,and has been reported to cause several outbreaks in eastern Asia areas,including China,Japan,and Korea(Yu et al.,2011).

The air-liquid interface(ALI)culture is a kind of recently developed system,which has proved its availability in simulating the biology of respiratory tract epithelial *** this study,an ALI-based mouse primary olfactory epithelial cell(OEC)model was established to perform the exposure of PM_(2.5)(PM=particulate matter)collected from Dianshan Lake(Shanghai)and Wangdu(Hebei).The results showed that PM_(2.5)in both regions caused a decrease in cell viability in a dose-dependent *** 0.5 and 5µg/cm^(2)(around ambient concentrations)of PM_(2.5)disrupted OEC membrane integrity and produced oxidative stress with elevated indicators of malondialdehyde(MDA)and reactive oxygen species(ROS).In transcriptomic sequencing,the terms concerning inflammatory cytokines and second messenger cyclic adenosine-3′,5′-monophoshate(cAMP)were enriched in two *** cytokine array showed the levels of some cytokines were altered,although inflammatory responses may not remarkably ***,PM_(2.5)disturbed cAMP contents and key genes in the cAMP signaling *** effects of PM_(2.5)of both regions were largely consistent,while Wangdu samples caused more ROS and Dianshan Lake samples tended to induce inflammatory ***,with the application of a novel ALI-based in vitro OEC model,our study demonstrated that ambient PM_(2.5)has the ability to threaten the physiologies and functions of the olfactory system.

With the shifting role of placebos,there is a need to develop animal models of placebo analgesia and elucidate the mechanisms underlying the *** the present study,male Sprague-Dawley rats with chronic inflammatory pain caused by complete Freund’s adjuvant(CFA)underwent a series of conditioning procedures,in which morphine was associated with different cues,but they failed to induce placebo ***,conditioning with the conditioned place preference apparatus successfully induced analgesic expectancy and placebo analgesia in naive rats but only induced analgesic expectancy and no analgesic effect in CFA ***,we found enhanced c-fos expression in the nucleus accumbens and reduced expression in the anterior cingulate cortex in naive rats while c-fos expression in the anterior cingulate cortex in CFA rats was not *** summary,the behavioral conditioning model demonstrated the difficulty of establishing a placebo analgesia model in rats with a pathological condition.

Biological particles in the operating room(OR)air environment can cause surgical site infections(SSIs).Various ventilation systems have been employed in ORs to ensure an ultraclean ***,the effect of different ventilation systems on the control of bacteria-carrying particles(BCPs)released from the surgical staff during surgery is *** this study,the performance of four different ventilation systems(vertical laminar airflow ventilation(VLAF),horizontal laminar airflow ventilation(HLAP),differential vertical airflow ventilation(DVAF),and temperature-controlled airflow ventilation(TAF))used in an OR was evaluated and compared based on the spatial BCP *** airflow field in the OR was solved by the Renormalization Group(RNG)k-e turbulence model,and the BCP phase was calculated by Lagrangian particle tracking(LPT)and the discrete random walk(DRW)*** was found that the TAF system was the most effective ventilation system among the four ventilation systems for ensuring air cleanliness in the operating *** study also indicated that air cleanliness in the operating area depended not only on the airflow rate of the ventilation system but also on the airflow distribution,which was greatly affected by obstacles such as surgical lamps and surgical staff.

Lithium batteries have been widely used in all over the world for its high energy density, long-term cycle stability. While the resources of lithium metal and transition metal are limited, which restrict their applications in the grid energy storage. Dual ion sodium batteries(DISBs) possess higher energy density,especially owning high power density for its higher operating voltage(> 4.5 V). Nevertheless, the poor oxidation tolerance of carbonate electrolyte and the co-intercalation of solvents accompanied with anions are main obstacles to make the DISBs commercialization. Herein, a physical barrier(artificial SEI film) is pre-constructed in the Na||graphite batteries to solve these thorny problems. With the CSMG(covered SEI on modified graphite), batteries deliver higher capacity 40 mAh/g even under the current density of 300 mA/g and the capacity retention maintains very well after 100 cycles at a high operating ***, the function mechanism was revealed by in-situ XRD, demonstrating that the pre-constructed SEI can effectively suppress the irreversible phase transition and exfoliation of graphite, resulting from the co-intercalation of anions. Additionally, the work voltage windows of carbonate electrolyte are significantly broadened by establishing electrode/electrolyte interphase. This method opens up an avenue for the practical application of DISBs on the grid energy storage and other fields.

The preparation of suitable hole transport material(HTM)is critical to the performance and stability of perovskite solar cells(PSCs)with ***,a mass producible and soluble copper phthalocyanine decorated with butoxy donor groups(CuPcOBu)was designed as HTM and prepared by a facile two-step synthetic *** generate high quality HTM film,4-tertbutylpyridine(tBP)was doped into CuPc-OBu to prepare the film and then removed by *** a t BP-assisted strategy resulted in the best efficiency of the PSCs with lead trihalide perovskite up to 19.0%(small-area of 0.1 cm^2)and 10.1%(the active area of 8.0 cm^2 for the module device).And the best efficiency of the tin-based PSCs with CuPc-OBu reached to 6.9%.More importantly,the device with CuPc-OBu as HTM revealed the remarkably enhanced *** work provides a new strategy to improve the film-quality of free-doping HTMs and enhance the efficiency and stability of Pb-and Sn-based PSCs with low-cost.

Tubes with coated and sintered porous surface for highly efficient heat exchangers

Surface modification is a direct and effective way to enhance the efficiency of heat exchangers. Surface modification by forming a microporous coated layer can greatly enhance the boiling heat transfer and thus achieve a high performance. In this paper, we systematically investigate the boiling behavior on a plain surface with/ without sintered microporous coatings of copper powder. The results demonstrated that the sintered surface has a better performance in nucleate boiling due to the increased nucleation sites. The superheat degree is lower and the bubble departure diameter is larger for the sintered surface than for the plain surface, so the heat can be carried away more efficiently on the sintered surface. In addition, the heat transfer capacity on the sintered surface depends on both the powder size and the coating thickness for a high flux tube. The optimum heat transfer capacity can be obtained when the thickness of the microporous coating layer is 3-5 times of the sintered powder diameter. As a result, the heat transfer coefficient tube can be up to 3 times higher for the tube with a sintered surface than that with a plain surface, showing a pronounced enhancement in heat transfer and a high potential in chemical engineering industry application.
