A widely used oxyanion corrosion inhibitor（Li2CrO4） was used as electrolyte additive（3.5 wt% Na Cl solution was used as electrolyte solution） for Mg–air battery. The potentiodynamic polarization tests showed that the presence of 0.1 wt% Li2CrO4in the Na Cl electrolyte reduced enormously the corrosion current density of the tested AZ31 Mg *** to the intermittent discharge tests, the use of 0.1 wt% Li2CrO4 as electrolyte additive increased the anode efficiency of the Mg–air battery by 28.4%. The addition of 0.1 wt% Li2CrO4reduced the anode self-corrosion rate of the battery in the intermittent stage effectively. The product film after discharge was observed by scanning electron microscope, and the Mg–air battery containing 0.1 wt% Li2CrO4has a loose product film, which is beneficial to its discharge performance. So using Li2CrO4 as electrolyte additive could improve the intermittent discharge performance of Mg–air battery. And the use of oxyanion corrosion inhibitor as electrolyte additive may be an excellent way to improve the intermittent discharge performance of Mg–air battery.

Spinal cord injuries impose a notably economic burden on society,mainly because of the severe after-effects they *** the ongoing development of various therapies for spinal cord injuries,their effectiveness remains ***,a deeper understanding of metabolism has opened up a new therapeutic opportunity in the form of metabolic *** this review,we explore the metabolic changes that occur during spinal cord injuries,their consequences,and the therapeutic tools available for metabolic *** spinal cord metabolism is characterized by independent cellular metabolism and intercellular metabolic ***,spinal cord injury results in metabolic disorders that include disturbances in glucose metabolism,lipid metabolism,and mitochondrial *** metabolic disturbances lead to corresponding pathological changes,including the failure of axonal regeneration,the accumulation of scarring,and the activation of *** rescue spinal cord injury at the metabolic level,potential metabolic reprogramming approaches have emerged,including replenishing metabolic substrates,reconstituting metabolic couplings,and targeting mitochondrial therapies to alter cell *** available evidence suggests that metabolic reprogramming holds great promise as a next-generation approach for the treatment of spinal cord *** further advance the metabolic treatment of the spinal cord injury,future efforts should focus on a deeper understanding of neurometabolism,the development of more advanced metabolomics technologies,and the design of highly effective metabolic interventions.

Electromagnetic absorbers(EMA) have driven the development of Electromagnetic(EM) technology and advanced EM devices. Utilizing the EM energy conversion of EM absorbers to design various devices is attractive and promising, especially in personal protection and healthcare. In this review article, the simulation and numerical analysis of EM materials are reviewed, from numerical analysis of dielectric parameters, simulation of wave absorbing performance, electromagnetic performance improvement, and structural construction optimization. For the EM response mechanism, radiation-dependent relaxation and charge transport energy transitions are dissected. For the EM calculation section, two leading roles are highlighted, including the purposeful design of EM and the provision of theoretical guidance for optimizing electromagnetic absorption performance. In addition, this work points out the current problems and potential opportunities in the numerical simulation of absorbing materials, points out the new development direction, and proposes prospects.

The distribution of energy deposition density in radiate region and its surrounding areas from γ-rays wassimulated and analyzed for a water-ball model with Geant4 package(Geant4.7.0,2005) developed by CERN (theCenter of European Research of Nucleus). The results show that the distribution depends strongly on the collimatingcondition of radiation beam. A well-collimated beam would reduce radiation effects on surrounding areas.

Self-Incompatibility （SI） Is a genetic mechanism of self/non-self pollen recognition to prevent self-fertilization In many flowering plants and, In most cases, this is controlled by a multl-allellc S-locus. S-RNase and Slocus F box （SLF） proteins have been shown to be the female and male determinants of gametophytlc selfIncompatibility （GSI）, respectively, In the Solanaceae, Scrophulariaceae and Rosaceae. Nevertheless, It is thought that additional factors are required for the SI response. Herein, we constructed a mature anther cDNA library from a self-Incompatible Petunia hybrida Vllm. line of the S3S3 haplotype. Using AhS2-RNase from Antirrhinum hispanicum as a bait for yeast two-hybrid screening, we found that petunia germinating pollen （PGP） S/D3 was capable of Interacting physically with the bait. However, the Interaction lacked haplotype specificity. The PGPS/D3 gene Is a single copy gene that Is expressed In tissues such as the style, ovary, pollen, and leaf. The PGPS/D3：：GFP （green fluorescence protein） construct was detected In both the membrane and cytoplasm. The Implications of these findings In the operation of S-RNase-based SI are discussed.

Intravenous cannulation is the most important phase in medical ***,limited literature is available about visibility of veins and the characteristics of patients associated with difficult intravenous *** modern medical treatment,a major challenge is locating veins for patients who have difficult venous ***,some products of vein locators are available in the market to improve vein access,but they need auxiliary equipment such as near infrared(NIR)illumination and camera,which add weight and cost to the devices,and cause inconveniences to daily medical *** this paper,a vein visualization algorithm based on the deep learning method was *** on a group of synchronous RGB/NIR arm images,a convolutional neural network(CNN)model was designed to implement the mapping from RGB to NIR images,where veins can be detected from *** model has a simple structure and less optimization parameters.A color transfer scheme was also proposed to make the network adaptive to the images taken by smartphone in daily medical *** experiments were conducted on three datasets to evaluate the proposed *** and objective evaluations showed the effec-tiveness of the proposed *** results indicated that the deep learning-based method can be used for visualizing veins in medical care applications.

Improving the thermal shock resistance of ceramics by crack arrest blocks

Ceramics used in the high temperature environment are inevitably subjected to sudden temperature change, which may lead to catastrophic thermal shock failure due to the intrinsic brittleness of ceramics. In this paper, an experimental platform is designed to realize the in-situ observation during the thermal shock experiments. Experimental results show that all the cracks initiate from one of the edge midpoints and propagate to another one for square specimens. Such experimental observation is consistent with the maximum tensile stress zone with the maximum temperature gradient given by the finite element method(FEM). The different crack modes resulting from different heating rates after thermal shock experiments are observed and analyzed. Comparison between different clamping methods is conducted to study the effects of boundary conditions on the thermal shock experiments. Furthermore, in order to improve the thermal shock performance of alumina ceramics, crack arrest blocks are added near the edge midpoint. The thickness, shape and arrangement of the blocks are systematically investigated to understand the mechanism of improvement of thermal shock resistance.

Telomerase acts as an important biomarker for tumor identification, and synthesizes telomeric repeats at the end of chromosome telomeres during the replicative phase of the cell cycle; thus, the expression level of telomerase changes as the cell cycle progresses. TERT m RNA expression and telomerase activity were significantly increased in over 80% of human cancers from tissue specimens. Although many efforts have been made in detecting the activity of TERT m RNA and active telomerase, the heterogeneous behavior of the cell cycle was overlooked, which might affect the accuracy of the detection results. Herein, the AIEgen-based biosensing systems of Py TPA-DNA and Silole-R were developed to detect the cellular level of TERT m RNA and telomerase in different cell cycles. As a result, the fluorescence signal of cancer cells gradually increased from G0/G1, G1/S to S phase. In contrast, both cancer cells arrested at G2/M phase and normal cells exhibited negligible fluorescence intensities. Compared to normal tissues, malignant tumor samples demonstrated a significant turn-on fluorescence signal. Furthermore, the transcriptomics profiling revealed that tumor biomarkers changed as the cell cycle progressed and biomarkers of CA9, TK1 and EGFR were more abundantly expressed at early S stage. In this vein, our study presented advanced biosensing tools for more accurate analysis of the cell-cycle-dependent activity of TERT m RNA and active telomerase in clinical tissue samples.

Mitochondria play a kay role in various cell processes including ATP production, Ca^2＋ homeostasis, reactive oxygen species （ROS） generation, and apoptosis. The selective removal of impaired mitochondria by autophagosome is known as mitophagy. Cerebral ischemia is a common form of stroke caused by insuf- ficient blood supply to the brain. Emerging evidence suggests that mitophagy plays important roles in the pathophysiological process of cerebral ischemia. This review focuses on the relationship between ischemic brain injury and mitophagy. Based on the latest research, it describes how the signaling pathways of mitophagy appear to be involved in cerebral ischemia.

We propose an eco-service provision unit method for estimating the benefit and spatial differences of forests in controlling soil erosion.A total of 197 eco-service provision units were grouped on 1424.43 km2 of forest according to differences in vegetation,slope,soil,and *** amount of soil conservation and its economic value were *** forests in Anji County prevent4.08 9 105 tons of soil from eroding annually,thereby avoiding 1.36 9 104 tons of nutrient loss（on-site cost） and preventing 149 tons of nutritive elements from entering water systems（off-site cost）.From an economic perspective,the soil nutrient conservation in the forests of Anji County generated an annual benefit of 43.37 million RMB（Chinese Currency,6.20 RMB = US$1）.On average,each hectare of ecological forest contributed up to 436 RMB annually because of soil *** complexes with higher rainfall intensity,such as broadleaf forest and red soil on slope gradients [25°,contributed the highest soil conservation *** study identified and quantified the dominant contributors and magnitudes of soil conservation provided by *** information can benefit decision making regarding differentiated ecological compensation policies.
