The space-based multi-band astronomical Variable Object Monitor(SVOM) mission is dedicated to the detection,localization and broad-band study of gamma-ray bursts(GRBs) and other high-energy transient *** gamma ray monitor(GRM) onboard is designed to observe GRBs up to 5 *** this instrument,one of the key GRB parameters,Epeak,can be easily measured in the hard X-ray *** can achieve a detection rate of 100 GRBs per year which ensures the scientific output of SVOM.

The rms-flux relations for some observations of GRS 1915+105 are *** rms-flux relations of the light curves in only one state,state C or state A,can be described by the simple non-linear model provided zhang;we thus interpret that such a linear relation reflects the relative importance of magnetic instability for X-ray emission in the corona of the system,compared to the thermal viscous instability for the X-ray emission in the accretion *** rms-flux relations for state B are very scattered,possibly because of the dominance of thermal viscous instability for the X-ray emission in the accretion *** complex rms-flux relations for the observations of transitions between two or three states are caused by the combination of the different rms-flux relations of these *** underlying physical processes are the combination of magnetic topology in the corona and thermal viscous instability in the accretion disk.

We propose a new method to calibrate the HXMT collimators by measuring the optical point spread function(PSF) of the hard X-ray modulation telescope(HXMT).The light transmission of the collimator at different viewing angles with a camera and a diffuse backlight placed behind the collimator is *** method is much easier to accomplish than measuring the PSF with a parallel optical *** experimental results are very consistent with the *** PSF of the collimator of the high energy X-ray telescope on HXMT is found to be in good agreement with the design,with accuracy better than 1 arcmin.

Fluidization technology has been used in CO_(2) capture processes, the successful design and operation of the heat exchangers involved in this process require much information on the bed-to-wall heat transfer of the sorbent particles in fluidized states. In this study, the bed-to-wall heat transfer coefficient (h) of a solid amine sorbent was measured by a heat transfer probe in a large-scale circulating fluidized bed cold model unit, where full spectrum of fluidization regimes can be realized. The corresponding hydrodynamic signals were also studied by pressure sensors and optical fiber probes to further explain the newly discovered phenomenon. The results show that in a dense bed, due to the counterbalanced effect of time fraction of packet and packet renewal frequency, h of the Geldart B particle reaches a peak within the bubbling fluidized regime, and the radial distribution of h are opposite in bubbling and turbulent fluidized regimes. In a fast fluidization regime, gas convection becomes the dominant factor affecting h when the solids holdup is low enough. Correlations were provided or recommended to guide the design of heat exchangers in the fluidized bed CO_(2) capture processes.

A charged particle array named MATE-PA,which serves as an auxiliary detector system for a Multi-purpose Active-target Time projection chamber used in nuclear astrophysical and exotic beam Experiments(MATE),was *** array comprised of 20 single-sided strip-silicon detectors covering approximately 10%of the solid *** detectors facilitated the detection of reaction-induced charged particles that penetrate the active volume of the *** performance of MATE-PA has been experimentally studied using an alpha source and a 36-MeV 14 N beam injected into the MATE chamber on the radioactive ion beam line in Lanzhou(RIBLL).The chamber was filled with a gas mixture of 95%4 He and 5%CO_(2) at a pressure of 500 *** results indicated good separation of light-charged particles using the forward double-layer silicon detectors of *** energy resolution of the Si detectors was deduced to be approximately 1%(σ)for an energy loss of approximately 10 MeV caused by theα*** inclusion of MATE-PA improves particle identification and increases the dynamic range of the kinetic energy of charged particles,particularly that of theαparticles,up to approximately 15 MeV.

The Moon provides a unique environment for investigating nearby astrophysical events such as *** samples retain valuable information from these events,via detectable long-lived“fingerprint”radionuclides such as^(60)*** this work,we stepped up the development of an accelerator mass spectrometry(AMS)method for detecting^(60)Fe using the HI-13tandem accelerator at the china institute of Atomic energy(CIAE).Since interferences could not be sufficiently removed solely with the existing magnetic systems of the tandem accelerator and the following Q3D magnetic spectrograph,a Wien filter with a maximum voltage of±60 kV and a maximum magnetic field of 0.3 T was installed after the accelerator magnetic systems to lower the detection background for the low abundance nuclide^(60)Fe.A 1μm thick Si_(3)N_(4) foil was installed in front of the Q3D as an energy *** particle detection,a multi-anode gas ionization chamber was mounted at the center of the focal plane of the ***,an^(60)Fe sample with an abundance of 1.125×10^(-10)was used to test the new AMS *** results indicate that^(60)Fe can be clearly distinguished from the isobar^(60)*** sensitivity was assessed to be better than 4.3×10^(-14)based on blank sample measurements lasting 5.8 h,and the sensitivity could,in principle,be expected to be approximately 2.5×10^(-15)when the data were accumulated for 100 h,which is feasible for future lunar sample measurements because the main contaminants were sufficiently separated.

The high-energy photon source(HEPS)is the first fourth-generation synchrotron light source facility in *** HEPS injector consists of a linear accelerator(linac)and a full energy *** booster captures the electron beam from the linac and increases its energy to the value required for the storage *** full-energy beam could be injected to the storage ring directly or after“high-energy accumulation.”On November 17,2023,the key booster parameters successfully reached their corresponding target *** milestone results were achieved based on numerous contributions,including nearly a decade of physical design,years of equipment development and installation,and months of beam *** measured at the extraction energy of 6 GeV,the averaged beam current and emittance reached 8.57 mA with 5 bunches and 30.37 nm rad with a single-bunch charge of 5.58 nC,compared with the corresponding target values of 6.6 mA and 35 nm rad,*** paper presents the physical design,equipment development,installation,and commissioning process of the HEPS booster.

Realtime trigger and localization of bursts are the key functions of GECAM,an all-sky gamma-ray monitor launched on 2020 December *** developed a multifunctional trigger and localization software operating in the CPU of the GECAM Electronic *** onboard software has the following features:high trigger efficiency for real celestial bursts with a suppression of false triggers caused by charged particle bursts and background fluctuation,dedicated localization algorithm optimized for both short and long bursts,and low time latency of the trigger information which is downlinked through the Global Short Message Communication service of the global BeiDou navigation *** paper provides a detailed description of the design and development of the trigger and localization software system for *** covers the general design,workflow,the main functions,and the algorithms used in the *** paper also includes on-ground trigger tests using simulated gamma-ray bursts generated by a dedicated X-ray tube,as well as an overview of the performance for real celestial bursts during its in-orbit operation.
