Considering the importance of investigating the transit timing variations(TTVs)of transiting exoplanets,we present a follow-up study of HAT-P-12 *** include six new light curves observed between2011 and 2015 from three different observatories,in association with 25 light curves taken from the published *** sample of the data used thus covers a time span of~10.2 years with a large coverage of epochs(1160)for the transiting events of the exoplanet HAT-P-12 *** light curves are utilized to determine the orbital parameters and conduct an investigation of possible *** new linear ephemeris shows a large value of reducedχ^(2),i.e.X_(red)^(2)(23)=7.93,and the sinusoidal fitting using the prominent frequency coming from a periodogram shows a reducedχ^(2) around *** on these values and the corresponding O-C diagrams,we suspect the presence of a possible non-sinusoidal TTV in this planetary ***,we find that a scenario with an additional non-transiting exoplanet could explain this TTV with an even smaller reducedχ^(2) value of around 2.

development of a novel stability indicating RP-HPLC method for quantification of Connexin43 mimetic peptide and determination of its degradation kinetics in biological fluids

Connexin43 mimetic peptide （Cx43MP） has been intensively investigated for its therapeutic effect in the management of inflammatory eye conditions, spinal cord injury, wound healing and iscbemia-induced brain damage. Here, we report on a validated stability-indicating reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography （RP-HPLC） method for the quantification of Cx43MP under stress conditions. These included exposure to acid/base, light, oxidation and high temperature. In addition, the degradation kinetics of the peptide were evaluated in bovine vitreous and drug-free human plasma at 37℃. detection of Cx43MP was carried out at 214 nm with a retention time of 7.5 min. The method showed excellent linearity over the concentration range of 0.9-250μg/mL （R2a0.998）, and the limits of detection （LOd） and quantification （LOQ） were found to be 0.90 and 2.98 μg/mL, respectively. The accuracy of the method determined by the mean percentage recovery at 7.8, 62.5 and 250μg/mL was 96.79%, 98.25% and 99.06% with a RSd of〈 2.2%. Accelerated stability studies revealed that Cx43MP was more sensitive to basic conditions and completely degraded within 24 h at 37℃（0% recovery） and within 12 h at 80℃ （0.34% recovery）. Cx43MP was found to be more stable in bovine vitreous （t1/2 slow= 171.8 min） compared to human plasma （t1/2slow = 39.3 min） at 37℃ according to the two phase degradation kinetic model. These findings are important for further pre-clinical development of Cx43MP.

Protective effect of Ocimum sanctum Linn. leaf extract on ethanol withdrawal syndrome in Wistar rats

Objective: To evaluate the effects of Oscimum sanctum L(O. sanctum), an important medicinal herb, on alcohol withdrawal syndrome in Wistar rats. Methods: Liquid diet with 7.2%, v/v ethanol was administered to the rats for 21 d. Control group animals received sucrose as an isocaloric liquid diet. After alcohol withdrawal, rats were examined at 6 th and 24 th hour for major withdrawal signs that included anxiety and hyper locomotor activity. Ethanol withdrawal anxiety was tested using elevated plus maze, light and dark model; the hyper locomotor activity using actophotometer. O. sanctum leaf extract(100, 200 and 300 mg/kg, oral) and diazepam(2 mg/kg, i.p) were administered to the treatment group animals 30 min before alcohol withdrawal estimation. drug treatment was also given 30 min before the second observation at 24 th hour. On the last day of the protocol, rats were sacrificed by cervical dislocation liver, kidney and brain were isolated and preserved in formalin for further histopathological examination. Results: Findings from the present study revealed that O. Sanctum leaf extract treatment at doses 100, 200 and 300 mg/kg, oral had a significant protective effect on signs and symptoms of ethanol withdrawal in alcohol-dependent rats. However, no remarkable pathological and microscopic alterations were observed in histopathological examination. Conclusions: O. sanctum seems to be an active drug for the treatment of alcohol abstinence syndrome.

Viral diseases have contributed significantly to worldwide morbidity and mortality throughout *** the existence of therapeutic treatments for many viral infections,antiviral resistance and the threat posed by novel viruses highlight the need for an increased number of effective *** addition to small molecule drugs and biologics,antimicrobial peptides(AMPs)represent an emerging class of potential antiviral *** AMPs have traditionally been regarded in the context of their antibacterial activities,many AMPs are now known to be *** antiviral peptides(AVPs)have been shown to target and perturb viral membrane envelopes and inhibit various stages of the viral life cycle,from preattachment inhibition through viral release from infected host *** design of AMPs has also proven effective in identifying highly active and specific peptides and can aid in the discovery of lead peptides with high therapeutic *** this review,we highlight AVPs with strong antiviral activity largely curated from a publicly available AMP *** then compile the sequences present in our AVP database to generate structural predictions of generic AVP ***,we cover the rational design approaches available for AVPs taking into account approaches currently used for the rational design of AMPs.

Coronavirus(COVId-19)has impacted nearly every person across the globe either in terms of losses of life or as of *** current coronavirus(COVId-19)pandemic is a rare/special situation where people can express their feelings on Internet-based social *** media is emerging as the biggest platform in recent years where people spend most of their time expressing themselves and their *** research is based on gathering data from Twitter and analyzing the behavior of the people during the COVId-19 *** research is based on the logic expressed by people in this perspective and emotions for the suffering of COVId-19 and *** this research,we have used a Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)network model with Convolutional Neural Network using Keras python deep-learning library to determine whether social media platform users are depressed in terms of positive,negative,or neutral emotional out bust based on their Twitter *** results showed that the model has 88.14%accuracy(representation of the correct prediction over the test dataset)after 10 epochs which most tweets showed had neutral *** evaluation shows interesting results in positive(1),negative(–1),and neutral(0)emotions through different visualization.

Black carbon（BC） particles play a unique and important role in earth’s climate *** was measured（in-situ） in the central part of the Indo-Gangetic Plains（IGP） at Varanasi,which is a highly populated and polluted region due to its topography and extensive emission *** annual mean BC mass concentration was 8.92 ± 7.0 μg m-3,with 34%of samples exceeding the average ***,BC was highest during the post-monsoon and winter periods（approximately 18 μg m-3） and lower in the premonsoon/monsoon seasons（approximately 6 μg m-3）.The highest frequency（approximately 46%） observed for BC mass was in the interval from 5 to 10 μg ***,during the post-monsoon season,the most common values（approximately 23%） were between 20 and 25 μg *** nighttime concentrations of BC were approximately twice as much as the daytime values because of lower boundary layer heights at *** Angstrom exponent was significantly positively correlated（0.55） with ground-level BC concentrations,indicating the impact of BC on the columnar aerosol *** estimated mean absorption Angstrom exponent was 1.02 ± 0.08 μg m-3,indicating that the major source of BC was from fossil fuel *** negative correlations between BC mass and meteorological parameters indicate a pronounced effect of atmospheric dynamics on the BC mass in this *** highest mean BC mass concentration（18.1 ± 6.9 μg m-3） as a function of wind speed was under calm wind conditions（38%of the time）.
