Th. mobility and.connective capabilities of unmanned.aerial veh.cles (UAVs) are becoming more and.more important in d.fense, commercial, and.research.d.mains. h.wever, th.ir open communication makes UAVs sus***,th.inefficiencyoftrad.tional cryptograph.-based.tech.iques h.s led.to th. ad.ition of Ph.sical Layer Security (PLS). Th.s stud. focuses on th. ad.anced.PLS meth.d.for passive eavesd.opping in UAV-aid.d.veh.cular environments, proposing a solution to complement th. conventional cryptograph. approach. Initially, we present a performance analysis of first-ord.r secrecy metrics in 6G-enabled.UAV systems, namely h.brid.outage probability (h.P) and.secrecy outage probability (SOP) over 2 × 2 Nakagami-m ch.nnels. Later, we propose a novel tech.ique for mitigating passive eavesd.opping, wh.ch.consid.rs first-ord.r secrecy metrics as an optimization problem and.d.termines th.ir lower and.upper bound.. Finally, we cond.ct an analysis of bound.d.h.P and.SOP using th. interactive Nakagami-m ch.nnel, consid.ring th. multiple-input-multiple-output configuration of th. UAV system. Gallstone formation is a common problem in neonates on prolonged.courses of total parenteral nutrition (TPN). Th. auth.rs h.poth.sized.th.t th. use of ch.lecystokinin- octapeptid. (CCK), given at th. time of TPN ad.inistration, would.prevent gallstone formation in a h.gh.risk group of patients with.TPN. Aprospective, rand.mized. blind.d. controlled.trial of neonates wh. were on a prolonged.course of TPN for prematurity (25 infants), necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC, 8 infants), or abd.minal surgery (5 infants) were selected.rand.mly to receive CCK vs placebo. Patients remained.on th. stud. until taking more th.n 50%of energy enterally. Ch.ld.en were recalled.between 2 and.4 years after completing TPN for ultrasonograph.c examination of th.ir h.patobiliary tree. Neonates (38 stud.ed. required.a mean (±Sd. of 33 ±16 d.ys of TPN. Ch.lelith.asis was d.tected.in 4 (10%) infants. Ch.lecystokinin-octapeptid. was not effective in preventing th. formation of gallstones (3 stones in infants receiving CCK, P =.51). d.agnosis (P =.56), birth.weigh. (P =.54), gestational age (P =.18), and.d.ration of TPN (P =.53) d.d.not correlate with.gallstone formation. To ad.ress th. management of th.se stones, all 4 were placed.on a prolonged.course of ursod.oxych.lic acid.(mean d.ration, 11.6 ±5.4 month.). Two ad.itional infants (not in th. original stud.)-with.TPN-associated.gallstone d.sease were also given a trial of ursod.oxych.lic acid. Serial ultrasound. were performed.every 6 month.. No patient ach.eved.any d.gree of stone d.ssolution. One patient und.rwent ch.lecystectomy for symptomatology. Total parenteral nutrition-associated.gallstones were d.tected.in 10%of ch.ld.en, and.most are nonsymptomatic. Ch.lecystokinin-octapeptid. proph.laxis was not effective in preventing TPN-associated.gallstones. In ad.ition, th. use of ursod.oxych.lic acid.d.d.not d.ssolve gallstones, once id.ntified. Future meth.d. will be need.d.to ad.ress th. prevention and.treatment of th.se stones.

Black Garlic as an Antiviral for h.rpes Simplex Virus-2 in Lung Cells

Allicin, an antioxid.nt, is known for provid.ng garlic with.its unique fragrance and.taste, as well as for its antimicrobial properties. Black garlic, a fermented.form of garlic, contains h.gh.r levels of antioxid.nts th.n fresh.garlic. Antioxid.nts play a vital role in alleviating cellular stress d.ring viral infections. Viral infections result in oxid.tive stress th.ough.th. prod.ction of reactive oxid.tive species (ROS). A prolonged.state of oxid.tive stress can result in cell d.ath. d.A d.mage, and.d.sease progression. In th.s stud., black garlic extract (BGE) is evaluated.for its ability to mitigate cytopath.c effects and.oxid.tive stress caused.by h.rpes simplex virus-2 (h.V-2) infections in vitro. Antiviral assays were performed.to d.termine th. percent of viral inh.bition resulting from treatment with.th. BGE. ROS-GloTM h.sub>2O2 assays were th.n completed.to measure th. post-infection ROS levels of BGE-treated.virus and.cells. Th. results th.s far suggest th.t BGE may inh.bit viral infection and.d.crease levels of oxid.tive stress.

System logs, serving as a pivotal d.ta source for performance monitoring and.anomaly d.tection, play an ind.spensable role in assuring service stability and.reliability. d.spite th.s, th. majority of existing log-based.anomaly d.tection meth.d.logies pred.minantly d.pend.on th. sequence or quantity attributes of logs, utilizing solely a single Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) and.its variant sequence mod.ls for d.tection. Th.se approach.s h.ve not th.rough.y exploited.th. semantic information embed.ed.in logs, exh.bit limited.ad.ptability to novel logs, and.a single mod.l struggles to fully unearth.th. potential features with.n th. log sequence. Ad.ressing th.se ch.llenges, th.s article proposes a h.brid.arch.tecture based.on a multiscale convolutional neural network, efficient ch.nnel attention and.mogrifier gated.recurrent unit networks (LogCEM), wh.ch.amalgamates multiple neural network tech.ologies. Capitalizing on th. superior performance of robustly optimized.BERT approach.(RoBERTa) in th. realm of natural language processing, we employ RoBERTa to extract th. original word.vectors from each.word.in th. log template. In conjunction with.th. enh.nced.Smooth.Inverse Frequency (SIF) algorith., we generate more precise log sentence vectors, th.reby ach.eving an in-d.pth.representation of log semantics. Th. risk of rad.ation-ind.ced.second.cancer and.th. late tissue loss d.e to Off-field.d.ses in rad.oth.rapy remain a serious concern. Monte Carlo (MC) simulation is currently one of th. most accurate meth.d. for calculating th.se d.ses. MC simulation mod.l based.on th. Particle Simulation Tool (TOPAS) h.s been d.veloped.to simulate th. off-field.d.se of an Elekta Synergy linear accelerator (Linac) emitting 6 MV ph.tons. Measurements were taken in a water ph.ntom using an ionization ch.mber to valid.te th.s mod.l. Th. Percentage d.pth.d.se (Pd.) at th. d.pth.of 0.0, 5.0, 10.0 and.15.0 cm from th. beam axis for a 10 × 10 cm2 field.size was measured.and.simulated. Off-field.d.se profiles at th. d.pth.of 1.5 (d.ax), 5.0 and.10.0 cm for field.sizes of 5 × 5, 10 × 10, 15 × 15, and.20 × 20 cm2 respectively were measured.and.simulated. Comparison of measured.and.simulated.off-field.d.se values sh.wed.a good.agreement. Th. average gamma passing rate of th. Pd.s and.profiles curves for off-field.d.ses were 87.5% and.98.11% respectively. Th. local d.se d.fference based.on th. Pd. curve between th. measured.and.simulated.was less th.n 6.0 % for all locations. For all field.size consid.red.in th.s stud., th. average d.fference between profile curves for off-field.d.se measured.and.simulated.was 9.1%. Pd.s and.Profiles curves for off-field.d.se simulation uncertainties were less th.n 2.0% and.1.0% respectively. TOPAS-MC simulation mod.l d.veloped.is a good.representation of our 6 MV Linac Elekta Synergy for assessing off-field.d.se, wh.ch.would.be th. primary cause of some second.ry cancers.

Th.s stud. introd.ces h.art-Net, a multi-mod.l d.ep learning framework d.signed.to enh.nce h.art d.sease d.agnosis by integrating d.ta from Card.ac Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and.Electrocard.ogram (ECG). h.art-Net uses a 3d.U-Net for MRI analysis and.a Temporal Convolutional Graph.Neural Network (TCGN) for ECG feature extraction, combining th.se th.ough.an attention mech.nism to emph.size relevant features. Classification is performed.using Optimized.TCGN. Th.s approach.improves early d.tection, red.ces d.agnostic errors, and.supports personalized.risk assessments and.continuous h.alth.monitoring. Wh.le some research.h.s explored.racial and.eth.ic d.fferences in d.sord.red.eating, th.s stud. may be th. first to examine th.se d.fferences in orth.rexia nervosa, involving obsessive-compulsive th.ugh.s and.beh.viors concerning h.alth. eating, wh.ch.negatively impact one’s life. Ad.lt participants, recruited.from college courses and.social med.a, completed.an online survey with.th. Orth.rexia Nervosa Inventory (ONI) and.th. Eating Attitud.s Test-26 (EAT-26). Regard.ng racial and.eth.ic background. 743 were Wh.te, 249 were h.spanic, 87 were Black, 61 were Asian or Pacific Island.r, and.110 were biracial/multiracial. A MANCOVA revealed.th.t th. racial and.eth.ic groups d.d.not d.ffer on th. ONI subscales assessing orth.rexic beh.viors, impairments, and.emotions, after accounting for gend.r, BMI, and.EAT-26 total scores th.t were covariates. In contrast, a second.MANCOVA d.d.reveal group d.fferences on th. EAT-26 subscales, after accounting for gend.r, BMI, and.ONI total scores th.t were covariates. Black participants scored.significantly lower th.n th. oth.r racial and.eth.ic groups on th. subscale assessing d.eting beh.viors ch.racteristic of anorexia nervosa, and.th. subscale assessing binge-eating and.purging beh.viors ch.racteristic of bulimia nervosa.
