Surface doping effect on the optoelectronic performance of 2D organic crystals based on cyano-substituted perylene diimides

compared to organic thin films,organic single crystals offer significant potential in organic phototransistors(OPTs)due to their enhanced charge transport,large surface area,and defect-free ***,the development of n-type semiconductors has lagged behind p-type *** enhance semiconductor device performance,a doping process can be employed,which typically involves the introduction of charged impurities into the crystalline semiconducting *** aim is to reduce the Ohmic losses,increase carrier density,improve transport capabilities,and facilitate effective carrier injection,ultimately enhancing the electrical properties of the *** doping processes,however,often pose a risk of damaging the structure of single *** this study,we have synthesized novel cyanosubstituted chiral perylene diimides,which self-assemble into two-dimensional single crystals that can be used for n-type semiconductor *** have employed a surface doping strategy using diethylamine vapor without disrupting the crystal *** fabricated devices exhibit significantly higher charge transport properties after doping,achieving a maximum electron mobility of 0.14 cm^(2)V^(-1)s^(-1),representing an improvement of over ***,the optoelectronic performance of the doped devices has significantly improved,with the external quantum efficiency increased by over 9 times and the significantly improved response *** results suggest that our surface doping technology is a promising way for enhancing the performance of 2D organic single-crystal OPTs.

Hydrogen acquisition from solar energy is an effective way to address energy crisis,which makes the development of efficient photocatalysts become the main direction of scientific ***,cobalt phthalocyanine/oxygen-doped g-c_(3)N_(4)(coPc/OcN) S-scheme heterojunction photocatalyst was designed by coupling multi-step calcination with solvothermal method for enhanced photothermal-assisted photocatalytic H_(2) *** multistep calcined g-c_(3)N_(4) is easier for O-doping formation,and the ethanol solvothermal strategy is utilized to enhance the dispersion of coPc on OcN nano sheet surface and forms sufficient S-scheme heterojunction through *** addition,the active sites and excellent photothermal properties of coPc itself further improve the integrated photocatalytic activity of coPc/OcN S-scheme *** optimal photocatalytic hydrogen evolution rate of coPc/OcN S-scheme heterojunction photocatalyst reached 9.56 mmol·g^(-1)·h^(-1),which is 2.69 and 1.23 times higher than that of cN and OcN,*** work provides a valuable design idea and scheme for enhancing the multi-factor co-assisted photocatalytic H_(2) evolution performance.

Identification of P-type plasma membrane H^(+)-ATPases in common wheat and characterization of TaHA7 associated with seed dormancy and germination

Lithium-sulfur batteries(LSBs)have drawn significant attention owing to their high theoretical discharge capacity and energy ***,the dissolution of long-chain polysulfides into the electrolyte during the charge and discharge process(“shuttle effect”)results in fast capacity fading and inferior electrochemical *** this study,Mn_(2)O_(3)with an ordered mesoporous structure(OM-Mn_(2)O_(3))was designed as a cathode host for LSBs via KIT-6 hard templating,to effectively inhibit the polysulfide shuttle ***-Mn_(2)O_(3)offers numerous pores to confine sulfur and tightly anchor the dissolved polysulfides through the combined effects of strong polar-polar interactions,polysulfides,and sulfur chain *** OM-Mn_(2)O_(3)/S composite electrode delivered a discharge capacity of 561 mAh g^(-1) after 250 cycles at 0.5 c owing to the excellent performance of OM-Mn_(2)O_(3).Furthermore,it retained a discharge capacity of 628mA h g^(-1) even at a rate of 2 c,which was significantly higher than that of a pristine sulfur electrode(206mA h g^(-1)).These findings provide a prospective strategy for designing cathode materials for high-performance LSBs.

Improvement for creep strength of a second-generation single crystal superalloy by design of heat treatments

Design of heat treatments is related to the key technology for development of nickel-based single crystal superalloys(Ni-SXs). Based on the full understanding of the solidification characteristics, this work applies optimization design of heat treatments for a second-generation Ni-SX. Microstructure evolution and creep properties are compared in the material under conventional/standard(Std.) and optimized(Opt.) treatments. For the Std. sample,strong dendritic segregations determine inconsistent microstructure evolution in the dendritic(D) and interdendritic region(ID), while the latter serves as weak area to have the prior microcrack initiation, damaging overall performance of the alloy. The Opt. treatment applies higher homogenization temperature, leading to overall reduced segregations, while not inducing incipient melting. A lower temperature of first-step ageing is used to lower the size ofγ'particles. These help to form the more uniform microstructure in dendritic and interdendritic region and relieve the inconsistent microstructure evolution. The balanced local strength makes ID no longer as the weak area,thus restricting microcrack initiation. Great improvement of high temperature and low stress property is obtained by this progress, leading to the pronounced increase of creep rupture life under 1100 °c/140 MPa.

Graphene from microwave-initiated upcycling of waste polyethylene for electrocatalytic reduction of chloramphenicol

Waste polyolefin plastics, accounting for 50% of all plastic waste, represent a tremendously unexploited carbon source. Efficiently upcycling polyolefin waste into value-added carbon materials for waste water treatment avoiding using noble metals is challenging but economically and environmentally sustainable. In this work, MAX-Ti_(3)Alc_(2) supported Fe selectively catalyzes polyolefin into few-layered graphene in 5 min under microwave treatment. Graphene and MAX supported Fe(Fe@MLc) can completely(99.9%)degrade chloramphenicol(cAP) within 60 min, retain robust after 10 cycles and work efficiently at a wide p H range(3.87–13.03), avoiding the usage of noble metal. Moreover, the electrochemical active surface area(EcSA) of Fe@MLc is 2.7 times higher than that of commercial Pt/c. This work provides a cheap and efficient catalyst that promotes deconstruction of plastic wastes and indirectly degrades antibiotics thereby realizes the treatment of waste water with waste plastic.
