At the end of October 2018,a storm of unprecedented strength severely damaged the forests of the eastern sector of the Italian *** affected forest area covers 42,500 *** president of one of the damaged regions asked for help from the University of *** eight months of discussion,the authors of this article wrote a consensus *** sometimes asper debate brought to light some crucial aspects:1)even experienced specialists may have various opinions based on scientific knowledge that lead to conflicting proposals for *** some of them there is evidence that to restore a destroyed natural environment it is more judicious to do nothing;2)the soil corresponds to a living structure and every ecosystem’s management should be based on it;3)faced with a catastrophe,people and politicians find themselves unarmed,also because they rarely have the scientific background to understand natural *** politicians are the only persons who make the key decisions that drive the economy in play and therefore determine the near future of our *** article is an attempt to respond directly to the governor of a region who formally and prudently asked a university department called"Land,Environment,Agriculture and Forestry"for help before taking decisions;4)the authors also propose an artistic interpretation of facts(uncontrolled storm)and conclusions(listen to the soil).briefly,the authors identify the soil as an indispensable source for the renewal of the destroyed forest,give indications on how to prepare a map of the soils of the damaged region,and suggest to anchor on this soil map a series of silvicultural and soil management actions that will promote the soil conservation and the faster recovery of the natural dynamic stability and resilience.

residual ridge shape is important for the seating of a prosthesis. The objective of this case report was to illustrate the importance of reduction maneuvers with regard to alveolar bone plates after multiple tooth extractions in patients with prostheses and special needs. In the current patient, there were difficulties during the adaptation and fitting of the upper denture. bilateral bone resection was indicated in the molar buccal region. Late regularization of the alveolar ridge, which was accomplished in hospital, was necessary for the preparation, adaptation, and use of the denture. The general and systemic health care of the patient should be monitored throughout surgical intervention. Though tooth extractions are common procedures, particular attention is required to ensure adequate alveolar ridge remodeling that is conducive to oral rehabilitation.

The investigation of the painting materials (pigments, binders and varnish) of Agarbiciu wooden church painted walls was done by employing both nondestructive (XrF and reflection FTIr spectroscopy for pigments) and destructive methods (FTIr spectroscopy and GC-MS spectrometry for pigments and binders). The digital restoration of the interior of the wooden church was done using the physical-chemical composition of the painting layer, a metadata set that describes the timeline, detailed photographic documentation and the 3D scanned interior of the church.

LacrimiSisfinti餐厅是一家专门向顾客供应现代罗马尼亚美食的餐厅，曾经属于典型的传统罗马尼亚风格餐厅，如今颇具现代韵味。从墙帷到动物头颅战利品等众多罗马尼亚民俗工艺品（除了是乐高积木堆叠而成之外），餐厅的传统风格痕迹依稀可见。此外，从罗马尼亚各地收集而来的老式纯正罗马尼亚家具遍布餐厅内部。其餐桌椅设计灵感源自传统的罗马尼亚家具，而这些家具绝大部分由奥尔特尼亚地区的乡下小作坊生产。

Use of Propolis for Topical Treatment of Dermatophytosis in Dog

Here we present three clinical cases of canine dermatophytosis resolved with topical propolis treatment that involved alopecia and well-demarcated erythematous lesions. These cases were positively identified by direct observation of samples from the affected zones with 10% KOH. Each sample was cultured, leading to the isolation of Microsporum gypseum in one case and Microsporum canis in the other two cases. The animals’ subsequent treatment included bathing using a commercial soap with propolis every seven days for 3 to 8 weeks, as well as the use of a propolis-containing ointment elaborated in our laboratory, which was applied to the lesions once a day for three weeks. From the second week of treatment, all cultures were negative. At the end of treatment, all cases displayed full recovery of the injuries and hair growth in these areas. In these clin-ical cases, treatment with propolis was effective, supporting the use of propolis as a promising natural alternative with no known collateral effects.
