The chemical and mineral compositions of bauxite recovered from the Severoonezhsk bauxite Mine(Arkhangelsk region,russia)were studied by XrD,ICP-OES,TG/DSC,SEM,TEM,and Mössbauer *** iron-containing minerals of the bauxites were found to comprise alumogoethite(α-Fe_(1−x)Al_(x)OOH),alumohematite(α-(Fe_(1−x)Al_(x))_(2)O_(3)),alumoakaganeite(β-Fe_(1−x)Al_(x)O(OH,Cl)),and chromite(FeCr_(2)O_(4)).The efficiency of Fe extraction from the bauxite by HCl leaching was 82.5%at 100℃,HCl concentration of 10%,solid/liquid ratio of 1:10,and the process duration of 60 min,with aluminum loss from the bauxites below 4.5%of the total Al contents in the *** of the kinetics of the iron leaching process proved diffusion to be the limiting stage of the process at 90−100℃.bauxite residue after leaching presented traces of α-Fe_(1−x)Al_(x)OOH and β-Fe_(1−x)Al_(x)O(OH,Cl),and most of the iron content was in the FeCr_(2)O_(4).In bauxite residue after HCl leaching,in addition to iron oxide,the contents of chromium and calcium oxides significantly *** iron chloride liquor after leaching contained the rare earth elements(rEE)of 6.8 mg/L Sc,4.1 mg/L Ce and 2.3 mg/L Ga.

Epithelioid hemangioendothelioma(EH)is a rare tumor arising from the vascular endothelial cells of soft tissue or visceral *** most common visceral site is the liver,where it is often involved in a multifocal man-ner known as hepatic EH(HEH).Surgical resection with curative intent represents the gold standard *** surgery is not feasible,or in cases of metastatic disease,no standard medical treatment is currently *** small series,drugs with anti-angiogenic activity(such as bevacizumab,sorafenib,thalidomide,and lenalidomide)have been proposed with promising *** describe a 73-year-old man with multifocal non-resectable HEH treated with *** status was evaluated by abdominal ultrasound and magnetic resonance every four *** patient was treated for a total of 39 mo with prolonged disease stabilization and,at the time of writing,is still under treatment with a good tolerance *** a short period of treatment discontinuation,the disease showed slight progression that immediately resolved after the reintroduction of *** may represent a valid treatment option for HEH due to its anti-angiogenic and antineoplastic *** preliminary result merits further study in a large series.

在过去的40年里,智利的环评系统从对决策方面技术投入有限、零散的程序性工作发展成为一项重要的公共政策工具。本文概要介绍了智利环评制度的演变、主要特点和流程,重点介绍了后续阶段的新进展和实践成果。分析显示,智利的环境影响评价程序取得了积极进展,但各个阶段几乎都有明显的不足之处。具体而言,在后续行动中,检查、执法和监测方面取得了一些关键性改进。研究表明,这些改进对环境许可证所载义务的评价以及过程的管理有积极影响。然而,与监测、沟通和公民参与有关的挑战仍亟待解决。

Objective:The aim of the study was to evaluate three-dimensional virtual models(3DVMs)usefulness in the intraoperative assistance of minimally-invasive partial nephrectomy in highly complex renal ***:At our institution cT1-2N0M0 all renal masses with Preoperative Aspects and Dimensions Used for an Anatomical classification score≥10 treated with minimally-invasive partial nephrectomy were considered for the present *** inclusion a baseline contrast-enhanced computed tomography in order to obtain 3DVMs,the baseline and postoperative serum creatinine as well as estimated glomerular filtration rate values were *** patients,in which 3DVMs were used to assist the surgeon in the planning and intraoperative guidance,were then compared with a control group of patients who underwent minimally-invasive partial nephrectomy with the same renal function assessments,but without *** logistic regression models were used to predict the margin,ischemia,and complication score ***:Overall,79 patients met the inclusion criteria and were compared with 143 complex renal masses without 3DVM *** 3DVM group showed better postoperative outcomes in terms of baseline-weighted differential estimated glomerular filtration rate(-17.7%vs.-22.2%,p=0.03),postoperative complications(16.5%vs.23.1%,p=0.03),and major complications(Clavien Dindo>III,2.5%vs.5.6%,p=0.03).At multivariable logistic regression 3DVM assistance independently predicted higher rates of successful partial nephrectomy(odds ratio:1.42,p=0.03).Conclusion:3DVMs represent a useful tool to plan a tailored surgical approach in case of surgically complex *** can be used in different ways,matching the surgeon's needs from the planning phase to the demolitive and reconstructive phase,leading towards maximum safety and efficacy outcomes.

Objective: The aim of this work was to evaluate the vaginal content of women attending family planning controls and its relationship with the contraceptive practice used (oral contraceptive pills, intrauterine device, condoms, or rhythm method) as well as its relationship with the lack of regular contraception. Design: Observational, descriptive study. Setting: Servicio de Atención Médica—Ministerio de Salud—Sa Pereira—Santa ***. Population: A total of 250 women were studied following the bAVACO (balance of the vaginal content). Methods: Standard method, which included the wet mount test, and Giemsa and Gram stain under the Nugent score. results: Obtained from the vaginal microbiota, the vaginal inflammatory response, presence of yeast and Trichomonas allowed defining five basic vaginal microbial states which were statistically related to contraceptive methods. Main Outcome Measures: The association of each of the five vaginal states with the different contraceptive practices was determined by X2 test, considering p rence (Program EPI-INFO 6. Version 6.04). results: A significantly positive association was found between oral contraceptives and normal microbiota (Or 3.98 – p = 0.000);intrauterine device and bacterial vaginosis (Or 10.1 – p = 0.000);whereas a negative relationship (Or 0.18 – p = 0.005) was found between oral contraceptives and bacterial vaginosis (Or 0.21 – p = 0.000). Conclusions: a) the positive association of combined oral contraceptives with a normal microbiota indicates a positive trend of protection, b) intrauterine devices increase whereas oral contraceptives decrease the risk for bacterial vaginosis, while oral contraceptives reduce the frequency.

A new branch of science called econology is being defined and shortly characterized as studying the economics-ecology-energy associations （3E or E3 associations）. In the future, this must be transformed into tehnology （T）-economy-energy-ecology, so that the symbol of the econology shall be TE3. being a new field, it becomes necessary to define and characterize the specific methodological tools. That＇s why the paper examines the following indices：（1） specific consumption of primary carbon; （2） specific consumption of primary negentropy; （3） reintegration rate of secondary materials and energy. Also, the following issues are presented：（1） the indirect pollution mechanism in metallurgy; （2） analysis of pollution issues by principle ＂think globally, act locally＂.

The EuroLifeNet Study: How Different Microenvironments Influence Personal Exposure to PM<sub>2.5</sub>among High-School Students in Milan

Epidemiological studies show that long-term exposure to PM is associated with an increased risk of cancer. The EuroLifeNet study measured the personal exposure to PM2.5 in 90 pupils attending three schools in Milan, using a portable nephelometer, over a three-week period spanning November and December 2006. background levels explained 40% of the variability of the exposure. Methods: As a second part of that study we analyzed the role of different microenvironments as determinants of personal exposure to PM2.5. results: Exposure was influenced by the time of day, zone of the city and different microenvironments. Exposure was higher indoors than out, and indoors it was higher in the kitchen, particularly during cooking. In outdoor environments exposure was higher at bus stops where road traffic was heavy. Conclusions: Even though background concentration can be a good predictor of personal exposure to PM, students’ personal exposure is strongly influenced by different microenvironments and should be considered in population studies. The EuroLifeNet experience gives a contribution to personal exposure measure methodology.
