Modified strip saturated models for two equal collinear crack. with coalesced zones in piezoelectric media

Two equal collinear crack. with coalesced interior electric saturation zones are analytically studied for two-dimensional (2D) arbitrary polarized semipermeable piezo- electric media based on a modified strip saturated model. The strip saturated model is modified here by varying the strip saturated constant electric displacement condition to the polynomially varying electric displacement conditions. Based on the linear, quadratic, and cubic electric displacement conditions on the inner and outer saturated zones, dif- ferent modified strip saturated models are proposed and studied for two equal collinear crack.. With the Stroh formalism and the complex variable technique, these fracture problems are reduced into different types of non-homogeneous Riemann Hilbert problems in unk.own generalized complex potential functions. These mathematical problems are then solved with the Riemann-Hilbert approach to obtain the stress and electric displace- ment components at any point of the domain. The explicit expressions for the outer saturated zone length, the crack.opening potential (cop., the crack.opening displace- ment (COD), and the local intensity factors (LIFs) are derived. A numerical study is presented for the modified strip saturated model in 2D arbitrary polarized semiperme- able PZT-4 material. The obtained results are compared with those of the strip saturated model, and the effects of the polynomially varying saturation condition on the saturated zones and the applied electrical loadings are presented.

A Price-elastic Approach for Optimal Scheduling of Small-scale Storage Devices in Smart Houses with Short-term and Long-term Constraints

Consecutive charging and discharging of storage devices(SDs)might deem beneficial from the perspective of short-term ***,it highly impacts the life span of the embedded battery and render restrictions on energy storage *** investigate short-term and long-term constraints of SDs through a three-stage price-elastic approach to the optimal operation of small-scale SDs in smart *** first stage deals with data and scenario characterization where the data for determining short-term and long-term operation constraints of SD are *** number of scenarios are generated to represent uncertain parameters such as long-term demand forecasting,daily load profile,electricity price,and photovoltaic(PV)*** second stage optimizes the long-term operation of SD using the envisioned scenarios subject to the long-term operation constraints and the installment costs of *** outputs of this stage are two indicators referred to as price elasticity and price offset coefficients,which are used as the inputs for the third *** third stage is responsible for decision-mak.ng on short-term operation of *** outputs of the second stage along with short-term forecasting for daily electricity price,daily load and daily PV generation are *** on the acquired data,proper price elasticity and price offset are determined for optimal *** simulations are performed for different demand forecasting and electricity *** results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

针对冷水机组大部分时间都是在部分负荷下运行的现状,提出了一种多机组空调系统并联的节能策略.运用模型仿真和试验验证手段研究节能优化运行策略对机组性能改善效果.试验结果表明:当机组由100%负荷降为50%负荷时,机组的冷凝温度由47.2℃下降到42.5℃,蒸发温度由2.2℃上升到3.5℃,cop.提高9.5%.从而表明该节能策略对多机组空调系统在部分负荷下的性能改善具有较大潜力.同时针对试验结果与仿真结果存在的差距,分析了产生的原因并提出了进一步的改进措施.

＜正＞The study aims at clarifying the performance of silica gel-water adsorption refrigeration cycle with mass recovery process. A new strategy of mass recovery is proposed. Two cases of mass recovery process are studied and the performances are compared with the performances of conventional two-bed adsorption cycle. One is the conventional mass recovery process in which no heating and cooling are applied to the beds during the mass recovery process, the other is the newly proposed mass recovery process in which beds heating and cooling process are continued during the mass recovery proofs. A cycle simulation program is developed tn predict the performance of the proposed cycle. The results show that the proposed strategy along with mass recovery cycle improves cooling capacity significantly, which is highly desirable in view point of reducing system size. It is slso seen that cop.values of the cycle without heating and cooling is increased by 28%, and cooling capacity of the mass recovery cycle with heating and cooling is increased from 11% than those of conventional single stage cycle at hot water temperature 60℃. The results show that mass recovery process has influential effect if the heat source temperature is low.

The solar-heat driven air-conditioning system has strong potential for significant primary energy *** most applications,the system involves Li-Br-water absorption chillers,which are suitable for large building *** absorption chillers to be used in small residential buildings,the reduction of the chiller system footprint is *** the present study focus has been given to design a vapour-absorption cooling system with improved transport phenomena using film-inversion *** film-inverting absorber has resulted in the enhancement of vapour absorption rate by 83-95 percent more than a conventional falling film-tubular absorber based on numerical simulation *** proposed design has the potential to increase Coefficient of Performance(cop. of a single-effect vapour absorption system 160% higher than that of a conventional vapour-absorption *** could also reduce the foot-print of the entire vapour absorption system especially for low-grade-heat driven *** least 10°C temperature reduction has been achieved in maintaining the same condensing ***,a smaller area is needed to harvest hot water for a solar-heat driven air-conditioning *** there has been at least 65% reduction of the collector area needed per k.W cooling energy.

A number of laser facilities coming online all over the world promise the capability of high-power laser experiments with shot repetition rates between 1 and 10 Hz. Target availability and technical issues related to the interaction environment could become a bottleneck.for the exploitation of such facilities. In this paper, we report on target needs for three different classes of experiments: dynamic compression physics, electron transport and isochoric heating, and laser-driven particle and radiation sources. We also review some of the most challenging issues in target fabrication and high repetition rate operation. Finally, we discuss current target supply strategies and future perspectives to establish a sustainable target provision infrastructure for advanced laser facilities.
