Larvicidal activities of hydro-ethanolic extracts of three Cameroonian medicinal plants against Aedes albopictus

Objective: To investigate the larvicidal activity of Syzygium guineense(Myrtaceae)(S. guineense), Monodora myristica and Zanthoxylum heitzii(Rutaceae)(Z. heitzii) extracts against Aedes albopictus(Ae. albopictus).Methods: The larvicidal activity of the hydro-ethanolic extracts from these plant species was assessed at three different concentrations(50, 100 and 200 mg/L) on first-instar of Ae. albopictus larvae in comparison with untreated controls. Mortality rate was recorded daily for a period of 12 days. The values of LC_(50) and lethal time killing 50% of the tested individuals(LT_(50)) were calculated using the log-probit ***: The root extract of S. guineense exhibited the best activity with 100% mortality after 8 days of treatment at 200 mg/L, followed by the fruit extract of Z. heitzii with83.33% mortality at the same concentration. Nonetheless, larvae were most susceptible to the fruit extract of Z. heitzii both in terms of LC_(50)(39.89 mg/L) and LT_(50)(145.68 h). A statistically significant difference between the control and the group treated at 200 mg/L was noticed in all the ***: The present study shows that the hydro-ethanolic extracts of S. guineense,Monodora myristica and Z. heitzii tested have significant larvicidal activity. These preliminary results are of great interest and some of these plant species can be proposed for the formulation of new bioinsecticides to control Ae. albopictus populations.

Traditional Lowlands Water Management in Dano, South-Western Burkina Faso

Lowland water resources management represents a challenge of the future that calls any community. Irrigated crops are grown in some areas of Burkina Faso, others are limited by a lack of irrigation infrastructure. Due to limited crop irrigation, crops and the associated populations dependent on them, depend on rain and on climatic factors. Thus, there is a need to understand and implement traditional mechanisms for managing lowland water in Dano, where climatic and geological conditions provide a sustained source of water. Here, I use a literature review combined with field work and interviews/questionnaires to estimate the potential exploitable plains to 16,056 ha or 24% of the communal area. Management mechanisms and traditional operating systems of lowland waters were clear, which helped to set the technological level of farmers, in partial control of water management.

本研究旨在研究和评价甘肃省兰州市高层建筑工程的可建性,旨在对我国特别是兰州地区高层建筑项目的可建性进行评价。运用可建性原则对我国建筑业的实际工作进行评价,探讨阻碍高层建筑可建性理念实施的主要因素,并尽可能提出解决方案。评价政府将扮演的特定角色,以确保适当的可建性原则应用于高层建筑中。本研究的数据是通过结构化问卷的方式收集的,本次研究共收到201份有效问卷,问卷参与者包括学术界人士和建筑专业人士。任何建筑工程的可建性评价,都是指在工程动工前评价该工程是否可行。然而,高层建筑项目在规划、设计和执行方面具有复杂性,这要求项目管理团队不得不适当考虑以往的项目,在项目开始前进行足够的可建性评价,积累足够的施工知识和施工经验,以确保预期的结构稳定性、耐久性、安全性和建筑质量。最后,本研究建议政府继续执行与行业相关的法律环境,避免实际上以“关系”,而非中标人接手建筑项目等不公平文化;采用预制材料和先进技术,以达到预期的质量、成本和工期交付项目。

The quantitative interpretation of gravity anomalies due to shallow structures needs separation between long wavelength anomalies(regional anomalies) and short wavelength anomalies(residual anomalies).The regional-residual field separation can be carried out using the polynomial *** this case, the so-called regional field of order n is treated as a polynomial of degree *** present study shows that the degree n must vary between a smallest value n_(min) and a maximum value n_(max).This article presents a method to process gravity data that allows determination of n_(min) and n_(max) for a given study *** apply the method to gravity data of the South-West Cameroon *** this chosen study area, we find that regional anomaly maps of orders ranging from 1 to 9 and residual anomaly maps of orders ranging from 1 to 8 can be used for suitable *** analyses show that one may need residual anomaly maps of several orders to perform satisfactory quantitative interpretation of the different intrusive bodies found in a given area.

对腹足纲软体动物罗曼蜗牛Helix pomatia的氧运输蛋白(βC-血清蛋白)的功能单位d,e和f中的一个半胱氨酸—组氨酸之间的硫醚桥键进行了研究。以该βC—血清蛋白为载体,通过限制性胰蛋白酶水解,产生片段a-c,ef,以及功能单位d,g,和h。以片段ef降解后的产物为研究对象,通过亲合色谱的分离纯化,得到功能单位e和f。通过对羧甲基化功能单位d的胰蛋白酶和链霉蛋白酶水解,得到一个含有硫醚桥键的4肽。同样在吡啶乙基化功能单位e和f的胰蛋白酶水解产物中也分离得到一个含有相同硫醚桥键的小肽。因此一个半胱氨酸—组氨酸之间硫醚桥键的存在似乎是腹足纲软体动物罗曼蜗牛Helix pomatia氧运输蛋白(βC-血清蛋白)功能单位的一个共有的特征。

Background:Gastrointestinal parasites infections are widespread in Africa and their prevalence infections vary from country to *** study aimed at assessing the prevalence of opportunistic intestinal parasites infection and other gastrointestinal parasites infection among patients attending the laboratory of Parasitology and Mycology of the University Hospital Souro Sanou of ***:A hospital cross-sectional based study was conducted from April to August,*** were persons whom parasitological examination of stools has been prescribed by a *** stools examination methods included direct wet saline examination,lugol’s iodine staining technique,formol-ether concentration and modified Ziehl-Neelsen *** recorded age and sex information for each ***:The overall prevalence of intestinal parasite infections was 65.3%(190/291).Majority of the parasitic infections was waterborne(64.3%)consisting of high prevalence of Cryptosporidium sp.(26.5%)and Entamoeba histolytica/dispar(23.4%).The prevalence of opportunistic parasites was 28.9%and Cryptosporidium *** the most prevalent species followed by Blastocystis sp.(1.0%),Cyclospora sp.(0.7%)and Isospora belli(0.7%).The prevalence of intestinal helminthes was 1.7%.Conclusions:The prevalence of intestinal parasitism in general remains high in Bobo-Dioulasso requiring the establishment of adequate diagnostic techniques,treatment and prevention.

教育史一个显著特点就是其用框架阐述问题,而其阐述的问题之一就是如何使教学过程质量的提升符合时代及社会需求。当前研究主要在开发用以提高教学效果的手段等方面。研究者们在教育科学领域进行不懈的探索,寻求提升教学过程的方法。因而,近二十年信息通信技术(ICT)开始出现并融入教育之中,以期改善教学效果。同时,由于教育需求不断变化,ICT融入教育的过程也结合了所需知识型教学内容。然而,为反映供求规律,技术必须不断改进升级。至今,21世纪的社会完全是一个“数字”社会,这就要求当今社会每个个体都必须掌握一项新的能力：数字素养。事实上,为了克服障碍并跨越教育局限,现如今教育科学专家们己将ICT融入教育系统中。鉴于ICT带来的优势,世界各国政府积极将其应用于教育中。尽管各国教育工作者都非常希望将IcT融入教育系统中,在此过程中还是会产生一些问题。本文旨在探究阻碍ICT在刚果普通中学教育中的融合及应用的一些主要挑战。研究结果表明尽管该国教师非常希望将ICT应用于教学中,但他们仍面临很多阻碍。其中,主要的挑战有ICT应用于学校的支持政策的缺失,材料的匮乏,教师必备ICT技能的不足,资源的获取困难,以及基础设施的不足。考虑到教师信心、教师能力、设备的获取及可用性是ICT成功融入教育系统的基础条件,本文针对教育人力资源发展机构是否配备了ICT,以及他们是否将其囊括在课程内进行阐述总体上,本文提供ICT融入普通中学教育所面临障碍方面的信息。而对ICT融入普通中学教育素养的负责部门**中小学教育部门,本文也提出了一些建议。

Evaluation of Health Risks Related to the Consumption of Fish from the Guéssabo River

Fish is rich in essential nutrients but can remain a potential source of food poisoning. A study was, therefore, carried out with the general objective of highlighting the probable biological and chemical dangers associated with the consumption of fish and freshwater fruits from the Guéssabo river. The present study was conducted on 50 carp fish, 50 mackerel fish, 50 frogs and 50 mollusks caught in the Guéssabo River. Microorganisms were enumerated by conventional tests and heavy metals were investigated by Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry. The enumeration showed high levels of thermotolerant Coliforms (2.5 × 104), Enterobacteriaceae (3.4 × 104), S. aureus (2.3 × 103) and Yeast/Molds (2.1 × 104), in all samples the standards were not in conformity with the required standards. High levels of Al (7230 μg/kg) and Cd (21.57 μg/kg) were observed in carp fish and these values are above the standard. In conclusion, the fish caught in the Guéssabo River could be a health risk factor for the consumer.
