Heptafluoroisobutyronitrile(C_(4)F_(7)N)is being considered as a promising alternative to the greenhouse gas SF6 in the electrical ***,its biotoxicity necessitates the development of gas sensing technology to detect leaked C_(4)F_(7)N.A combination of density functional theory and experiments was employed to evaluate the adsorption and sensing performance of different metal-phthalocyanines as potential sensing materials for C_(4)F_(7)N *** study included exploring adsorption configurations with adsorption energies,electron t.ansfer,and adsorption distance,as well as comparisons of electronic properties,electron distribution,and density of states(DOS)among the ***,gas sensing experiments were conducted using different MPcs to detect 25-100 ppm C_(4)F_(7)*** results revealed that Mn-Pc,Fe-Pc,Co-Pc,and Zn-Pc exhibited considerable chemical interactions,while Ni-Pc and Cu-Pc showed weaker adsorption *** findings were further elucidated based on the electron density and DOS of atomic ***,gas sensing experiments indicated that Co-Pc demonstrated a higher response compared to Fe-Pc at the same concentration of C_(4)F_(7)***,the theoretical and experimental insights offer valuable guidance for C_(4)F_(7)N detection and provide a systematic approach to screen and explore organometallic polymer-based gas sensors applicable in various fields.

With the rapid development of wireless communication technology and electronic devices,the issue of electromagnetic interference(EMI)is becoming increasingly *** a new and flexible electromagnetic interference shielding material has become a challenging ***,a sandwich-structured EMI shielding composite film was prepared using electrospinning and vacuum filtration *** this process,a porous MXene was synthesized through a reaction with cobalt acetate and served as the intermediate layer in the composite film to shield electromagnetic *** electrospun polyimide(PI)fibers were used as the top and bottom layers of the composite film,which can protect the porous MXene from *** lightweight.and flexible composite film integrates electromagnetic interference shielding and thermal insulation capabilities,showing excellent comprehensive *** composite film achieves an EMI shielding effectiveness of 48.8 dB in X-band(8.2–12.4 GHz),and absolute shielding effectiveness of the composite film reached a satisfying 4142.43(dB·cm^(2))/*** to the design of a multi-layer porous structure,the density of the composite film is 0.65 g/***,the thermal conductivity of the film is 0.042 W/(m·K)due to the clamping of electrospun PI fibers,showing excellent thermal insulation ***,the composite film exhibits excellent high and low-temperature *** summary,this work provides a feasible strategy for preparing a lightweight polymer-based EMI shielding film.

BACKGROUND Laparoscopic rectal cancer radical surgery is a complex procedure affected by various ***,the existing literature lacks standardized parameters for the pelvic region and soft tissues,which hampers the establishment of consistent *** to comprehensively assess 16 pelvic and 7 soft tissue parameters through computerized tomography(Ct)-based three-dimensional(3D)reconstruction,providing a strong theoretical basis to address challenges in laparoscopic rectal cancer radical *** We analyzed data from 218 patients who underwent radical laparoscopic surgery for rectal cancer,and utilized Ct data for 3D pelvic *** anatomical points were carefully marked and measured using advanced 3D modeling *** analyze the pelvic and soft tissue parameters,we emp-loyed statistical methods including paired sample t-tests,Wilcoxon rank-sum tests,and correlation *** the investigation highlighted significant sex disparities in 14 pelvic bone parameters and 3 soft tissue *** demonstrated larger measurements in pelvic depth and overall curvature,smaller measurements in pelvic width,a larger mesorectal fat area,and a larger anterior-posterior abdominal *** contrast,females exhibited wider pelvises,shallower depth,smaller overall curvature,and an increased amount of subcutaneous fat ***,there were no significant sex differences observed in certain parameters such as sacral curvature height,superior pubococcygeal diameter,rectal area,visceral fat area,waist circumference,and t.ansverse abdominal *** the reconstruction of 3D Ct data enabled accurate pelvic measurements,revealing significant sex differences in both pelvic and soft tissue *** study design offer potential in predicting surgical difficulties and creating personalized surgical plans for male rectal cancer patients with a potentially“difficult pelvis”,ultimately improving surgical ***

Overcoming neutrophil-induced immunosuppression in postoperative cancer therapy: Combined sialic acid-modified liposomes with scaffold-based vaccines

Immunotherapy is a promising approach for preventing postoperative tumor recurrence and metastasis. However, inflammatory neutrophils, recruited to the postoperative tumor site, have been shown to exacerbate tumor regeneration and limit the efficacy of cancer vaccines. Consequently, addressing postoperative immunosuppression caused by neutrophils is crucial for improving treatment outcomes. this study presents a combined chemoimmunotherapeutic strategy that employs a biocompatible macroporous scaffold-based cancer vaccine (S-CV) and a sialic acid (SA)-modified, doxorubicin (DOX)-loaded liposomal platform (DOX@SAL). the S-CV contains whole tumor lysates as antigens and imiquimod (R837, toll-like receptor 7 activator)-loaded PLGA nanoparticles as immune adjuvants for cancer, which enhance dendritic cell activation and cytotoxic t cell proliferation upon localized implantation. When administered intravenously, DOX@SAL specifically targets and delivers drugs to activated neutrophils in vivo, mitigating neutrophil infiltration and suppressing postoperative inflammatory responses. In vivo and vitro experiments have demonstrated that S-CV plus DOX@SAL, a combined chemo-immunotherapeutic strategy, has a remarkable potential to inhibit postoperative local tumor recurrence and distant tumor progression, with minimal systemic toxicity, providing a new concept for postoperative treatment of tumors.

Microglia are the main non-neuronal cells in the central nervous system that have important roles in brain development.and functional connectivity of neural *** brain physiology,highly dynamic microglial processes are facilitated to sense the surrounding environment.and *** the brain switches its functional states,microglia are recruited to specific sites to exert their immune functions,including the release of cytokines and phagocytosis of cellular *** crosstalk of microglia between neurons,neural stem cells,endothelial cells,oligodendrocytes,and astrocytes contributes to their functions in synapse pruning,neurogenesis,vascularization,myelination,and blood-brain barrier *** this review,we highlight the neuron-derived“find-me,”“eat-me,”and“don't eat-me”molecular signals that drive microglia in response to changes in neuronal activity for synapse refinement during brain *** review reveals the molecular mechanism of neuron-microglia interaction in synaptic pruning and presents novel ideas for the synaptic pruning of microglia in disease,thereby providing important clues for discovery of target drugs and development of nervous system disease treatment methods targeting synaptic dysfunction.

Background: the absence of a safe and effective therapy for recurrent spontaneous abortion due to a maternofetal failure in immunological tolerance remains an intractable clinical obstacle for surgeons. Recently, traditional Chinese medicine has become a feasible alternative for certain diseases, including recurrent spontaneous abortion. However, because of the complex composition of the traditional Chinese medicine formula, its action mechanism remains unclear. Methods: We selected two isolated active ingredients (RAMP and baicalin) from the traditional Chinese medicine formula and used an abortion-prone CBA/J × DBA/2 model to simulate human RSA and compared the changes in fetal resorption rate, treg cell percentage, and relevant cytokines before and after combination therapy. In addition, the mechanisms were preliminarily discussed using in vitro differentiation models. Results: In CBA/J × DBA/2 abortion-prone mice, the combination therapy resulted in a lower embryo resorption rate compared to that obtained with individual delivery of either RAMP or baicalin, thereby playing an embryo-protective role through the increase in treg cells for the maintenance of maternal-fetal immune tolerance. In in vitro primary cell differentiation experiments, the concentration of treg cells significantly increased from 11% to 17.9% after the combination therapy compared to that of the single administration group. Conclusion: the synergistic effects of RAMP and baicalin were responsible for treg differentiation. the present study provides a solid basis for improving the applicability of traditional Chinese herbs in the treatment of recurrent spontaneous abortion.
