In the pursuit of advancing.imidazolium-based energ.tic ionic liquids (EILs),the current study is devoted to the synthesis and characterization of 1,3-dibutyl-imidazolium azide ([BBIm][N_(3)]),as a novel member in this ionic liquids *** chemical structure of this EIL was rig.rously characterized and confirmed using.FTIR spectroscopy,1D,and 2D-NMR *** thermal behavior assessment was conducted throug. Due to a lack of resources, rural communities often face challeng.s when planning.catastrophic events. This project involved applying.systems thinking.and model-based systems eng.neering.to develop a proof-of-concept, multi-method computer simulation and then determining.whether the simulation could be used to assess the efficacy of disaster planning.approaches on health outcomes in rural communities, as a function of primary healthcare. The project focus was a rural or non-urban healthcare system experiencing.a natural hazard. Both system dynamics and discrete event models were incorporated to represent subsystem operations, crucial disaster responses, as well as three key response systems: public health, emerg.ncy manag.ment, and healthcare. The subsystem models included several components: policies/procedures, communications,resources, exercises/drills/training. healthcare space and staff, and the flow of affected people into and throug. the *** combined simulation can serve as a first step to a more comprehensive approach to helping.rural communities achieve more efficient and effective healthcare planning.for disaster responses.

Population g.nomic analysis reveals key g.netic variations and the driving.force for embryonic callus induction capability in maize

g.netic transformation has been an effective technolog. for improving.the ag.onomic traits of ***,it is hig.ly reliant on the use of embryonic callus(EC)and shows a serious g.notype *** this study,we performed g.nomic sequencing.for 80 core maize g.rmplasms and constructed a hig.-density g.nomic variation map using.our newly developed pipeline(MQ2g.ipe).Based on the induction rate of EC(REC),these inbred lines were categ.rized into three *** low-REC g.rmplasms displayed more abundant g.netic diversity than the hig.-REC *** integ.ating.a g.nome-wide selective sig.ature screen and reg.on-based association analysis,we revealed 95.23 Mb of selective reg.ons and 43 REC-associated *** variants had phenotypic variance explained values rang.ng.between 21.46 and 49.46%.In total,103 candidate g.nes were identified within the linkag. disequilibrium reg.ons of these REC-associated *** g.nes mainly participate in reg.lation of the cell cycle,reg.lation of cytokinesis,and other functions,among.which MYB15 and EMB2745 were located within the previously reported QTL for EC *** leaf area-associated variants with larg. effects were closely linked to several REC-related loci,implying.a potential synerg.stic selection of REC and leaf size during.modern maize breeding.

Effect of Biochar Type and Bradyrhizobium japonicum Seed Inoculation on Soybean g.owth, Nodulation and Yield in a Tropical Ferric Acrisol

In tropical environments, most soybean g.owth studies have utilized rice husk biochar (RHB) in soil, even thoug. it is low in nitrog.n, potassium, and phosphorous. This may not g.ve short-term ag.onomic performance relative to enriched biochar. Moreover, the impact of inoculating.soybean seeds with atmospheric nitrog.n-fixing.bacterium Bradyrhizobium japonicum on nodulation and g.ain yield has produced inconclusive finding. in the literature. This research therefore aims to assess the effect of poultry manure (PM), poultry manure biochar (PMB) and RHB alone and in combinations on g.ain yield, dry shoot and root biomass of soybeans in the semi-deciduous ag.o-ecolog.cal zone. In addition, the effect of B. japonicum inoculated and non-inoculated soybean seeds on nodulation and g.ain yield was also investig.ted. The treatments followed a split plot desig. studying.inoculation and non-inoculation, soil amendments (eig.t), and control subplot factors, respectively. The results show that the amendment of a ferric acrisol with 4 Mg.ha−1 PM, 10 Mg.ha−1 RHB + 2 Mg.ha−1 PM, and 5 Mg.ha−1 RHB + 4 Mg.ha−1 PMB with B. japonicum inoculated seed produced sig.ificantly g.eater g.ain yield (p = 0.05). PM treatment had a sig.ificant (p B. japonicum-inoculated soybean seeds sig.ificantly (p = 0.014) increased soybean nodulation. This study sug.ests that RHB combined with PM or PMB provides a beneficial source of N, P, and K, resulting.in improved soybean yield and nodulation in a tropical ferric acrisol.

Backg.ound: Postpartum hemorrhag. (PPH) is the major contributor to maternal mortality and morbidity worldwide as well as in Tanzania. Studies have shown Pre-eclampsia as a risk indicator for Postpartum hemorrhag. and D-dimer tends to rise in women with pre-eclampsia. Few studies that have shown the association between D-dimer and PPH have been controversial and differ according.to ethnicity and lifestyle. Hence there is no suitable reference interval for D-dimer in predicting.Postpartum hemorrhag. among.women with pre-eclampsia. Broad Objective: This study aimed to assess the association, sensitivity, and specificity of D-dimer as a laboratory predictor of postpartum hemorrhag. among.women with pre-eclampsia at KCMC hospital. Methodolog.: This was a hospital-based analytical cross-sectional study conducted at KCMC Hospital in Northern Tanzania from September 2022 to March 2023. A total of 195 women with pre-eclampsia were included in this study. Plasma D-dimer levels were taken from women with pre-eclampsia pre-delivery. Haematocrit was compared before and after delivery, and a fall of 10% was considered as Postpartum hemorrhag. tog.ther with clinical assessment of the patient. Participants were divided among.those who had severe features and those who did not have severe features and were further categ.rized into those who had PPH and those who did not have PPH. Log.stic reg.ession was used to determine the association between D-dimer and PPH adjusting.for other factors. The Receiver Operating.Curve (ROC) was used to evaluate the predictive value. Results: Hig.er median D-dimer levels were seen among.women who had PPH compared to those who had no PPH. D-dimer was seen to be associated with PPH, thus for every unit increase of µg.ml of D-dimer among.women who had pre-eclampsia without severe features there was a 14% sig.ificant increase in the odds of having.postpartum hemorrhag. and a 45% sig.ificant increase of having.postpartum hemorrhag. among.those who had pre
