Background:Hemodialysis(HD) per se is a risk factor for *** the growing body of evidence on blood-flow restriction(BFR) exercise in HD patients,identification of possible risk factors related to the prothrombotic agent D-dimer is required for the safety and feasibility of this training *** aim of the present study was to identify risk factors associated with higher D-dimer levels and to determine the acute effect of resistance exercise(RE) with BFR on this ***:Two hundred and six HD patients volunteered for this study(all with a glomerular filtration rate of session consisted of 50% arterial occlusion pressure during 50 min sessions of HD(intradialytic exercise).RE repetitions included concentric and eccentric lifting phases(each lasting 2 s) and were supervised by a strength and conditioning ***:several variables were associated with elevated levels of D-dimer,including higher blood glucose,citrate use,recent cardiovascular events,recent intercurrents,higher inflammatory status,catheter as vascular access,older patients(>70 years old),and HD ***,RE+BFR significantly increases D-dimer after 4 *** with borderline baseline D-dimer levels(400-490 ng/mL) displayed increased risk of elevating D-dimer over the normal range(≥500 ng/mL).Conclusion:These results identified factors associated with a heightened prothrombotic state and may assist in the screening process for HD patients who wish to undergo RE+BFR.D-dimer and/or other fibrinolysis factors should be assessed at baseline and throughout the protocol as a precautionary measure to maximize safety during RE+BFR.

The southern são Francisco Paleocontinent(sFP)comprises Archean nuclei and Paleoproterozoic complexes encompassing magmatic arcs juxtaposed during a Rhyacian to Orosirian orogenic *** Juiz de Fora Complex(JFC)represents an imbricated thrust system that comprises orthogranulites with a wide compositional range formed in an intra-oceanic setting during the siderian to the Orosirian and later accreted to the southeastern margin of the *** we report new petrological,geochemical,whole-rock Nd and sr data,as well as zircon U–Pb ages from felsic and mafic orthogranulites from the *** new data is combined with a regional compilation that enables an evaluation of the interaction between magmatism and orogenetic episodes in the context of the consolidation of são Francisco Paleocontinent during the Rhyacian–*** collisional Island Arc tholeiites(IAT),Tonalites-Tron dhjemites-Granodiorites(TTGs)and sanukitoid magmatism occurred from 2200 Ma to 2085 *** was followed by post-collisional magmatism,which is represented by hybrid granitoids coeval with the emplacement of E-MORB basic *** signatures for the Rhyacian to Orosirian evolution are highlighted by the dominance of negativeεNd(t)associated with Meso-to Neoarchean Nd TDMmodel ages as well as inherited zircon grains from the hybrid *** JFC is extensively highlighted in the literature as a primitive intra-oceanic arc,but here we propose the reworking or recycling of ancient crustal segments within the mature arc stage of the JFC,suggesting a Mesoarchean crustal source involved in the JFC evolution.

Hydrocarbons separation in petrochemical industries is a key,energy-consuming stage in the manufacture of high-quality added-value products—hence the need for more efficient materials and environmentally friendly methodologies to improve this *** this context,we have studied the effect of metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)pore functionalization in hexane isomers separation,isolating the robust isoreticular zinc(ll)bipyrazolates Zn(BPZ),showing no pore decoration,Zn(Me_(2)BPZ),the pores of which are decorated with apolar methyl groups,and Zn(BPZ(NH_(2))_(2)),the spacers of which possess polar Lewis-basic functions(H_(2)BPZ=1H,1'H-4,4'-bipyrazole;H_(2)Me_(2)BPZ=3,3'-dimethyl-1H,1'H-4,4'-bipyrazole;H_(2)BPZ(NH_(2))_(2)=3,5-diamino-1H,1'H-4,4'-bipyrazole;DMF=dimethylformamide).After characterizing Zn(BPZ(NH_(2))_(2))as per its crystal structure and thermal behaviour,and all the three MOFs as per their textural properties,we investigated,from the experimental and computational points of view,the impact of the square one-dimensional channels decoration on the separation of the hexane isomers,demonstrating the relevance of pore constrictions in the resolution of the title alkanes mixture.

Nanocellulose: Effect on Thermal, structural, Molecular Mobility and Rheological Characteristics of Poly(Butylenes Adipate-Co-Butylene Terephthalate) Nanocomposites

The concern with environmental preservation is a very current and relevant topic. Regarding polymers, the search for potentially ecofriendly matters has been the subject of scientific research. In this context, this work aimed to study the effect of adding nanocellulose (nCE) with 1, 3, and 5 wt.% on poly(butylene adipate-co-butylene terephthalate) (PBAT). Thermal, structural, relaxometric, and rheological assessments were carried out. Quantitative evaluation of PBAT copolymer by high field NMR revealed 56.4 and 43.6 m.% of the butylene adipate and butylene terephthalate segments, respectively. WAXD measurement on the deconvoluted diffraction patterns identified that nCE was a mixing of Cellulose I and Cellulose II polymorph structures. At any composition, nanocellulose interfered with the PBAT crystallisation process. Also, a series of new PBAT crystallographic planes appeared as a function of nanocellulose content. PBAT hydrogen molecular relaxation varied randomly with nanocellulose content and had a strong effect on the hydrogen relaxation. PBAT cold crystallisation and melting temperatures (Tsub>ccsub> and Tsub>msub>) were almost unchangeable. Although Tsub>ccsub> did not change during polymer solidification from PBAT molten state, the sample’s degree of crystallinity varied with composition through the transcrystallization phenomenon. Nanocomposite thermal stability decreased possibly owing to the catalytic action of sulfonated amorphous cellulose chains. For the sample with 3 wt.% of nanocellulose, the highest values of complex viscosity and storage modulus were achieved.

The identification of jets originating from quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an important role in various analyses performed at the Large Hadron Collider,as standard Model measurements and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the ATLAs Collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAs *** taggers with high performances in rejecting jets from gluon over jets from quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other combines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A method is established to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsamples defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and simulation are provided for jets with transverse momentum between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for multiple tagger working points.

Forest fire risk indices and zoning of hazardous areas in sorocaba,sao Paulo state,Brazil

This study compares the performance of three fire risk indices for accuracy in predicting fires in semideciduous forest fragments,creates a fire risk map by integrating historical fire occurrences in a probabilistic density surface using the Kernel density estimator(KDE)in the municipality of sorocaba,sao Paulo state,*** logarithmic Telicyn index,Monte Alegre formula(MAF)and enhanced Monte Alegre formula(MAF+)were employed using data for the period 1 January 2005 to 31 December *** data and numbers of fire occurrences were obtained from the National Institute of Meteorology(INMET)and the Institute for space Research(INPE),*** performance measures were calculated:Heidke skill score(ss)and success rate(sR).The MAF+index was the most accurate,with values of ss and sR of 0.611%and 62.8%,*** fire risk map revealed two most susceptible areas with high(63 km^2)and very high(47 km^2)risk of fires in the *** of the best risk index and the generation of fire risk maps can contribute to better planning and cost reduction in preventing and fighting forest fires.

The treatment of breast cancer (BC) leaves emotional and functional sequels affecting the quality of life (QOL) of the survivors. We aim to investigate, intense exercises in the rehabilitation of BC survivors. Using the systematic search model in the PubMed databases;Lilacs Bireme and scielo. Meta-Analysis used the Meta package implemented in software R (version 3.3.2) p selected 29 articles, and after reading in the Integra, we excluded 27 texts being included in the meta-analysis only 2. In the QOL, the heterogeneity in the emotional function showed a difference of 75%, in the social function 36% and in the physics 32%. Using intense exercises in BC survivors during rehabilitation improves overall QOL, muscle structure, and preserves functional capacity.

The knowledge on post-transcriptional regulation mechanisms implicated in seed development(sD)is still limited,particularly in one of the most consumed grain legumes,Phaseolus vulgaris *** explore for the first time the miRNA expression dynamics in *** developing ***-two known and 39 new miRNAs were found expressed in *** developing *** of the miRNAs identified were more abundant at 10 and 40 days after anthesis,suggesting that late embryogenesis/early filling and desiccation were sD stages in which miRNA action is more *** analysis and target prediction identified targets for 77 expressed *** several known miRNAs were predicted to target HD-ZIP,ARF,sPL,and NF-Y transcription factors families,most of the predicted targets for new miRNAs encode for functional ***-targets expression profiles evidenced that these miRNAs could tune distinct seed developmental *** more accumulated at early sD stages were implicated in regulating the end of embryogenesis,postponing the seed maturation program,storage compound synthesis and *** more accumulated at late sD stages could be implicated in seed quiescence,desiccation tolerance,and longevity with still uncovered roles in *** miRNAs herein described represent novel *** resources with potential application in future biotechnological approaches to modulate the expression of genes implicated in legume seed traits with impact in horticultural production systems.
