Background. Obesity is currently consid.red.a public health problem. Bariatric proced.res have become an important part of obesity management and. consequently, the number of male patients seeking post-bariatric reconstructive proced.res have increased. Therefore, the clinical approach and.und.rstand.ng of the bod. contour of this population have become more relevant. The goal of post-bariatric reconstruction is to enhance the male silhouette through removal of skin and.ad.pose tissue excess, and.abd.minal rectus d.astasis repair. Material and.Method.: We cond.cted.a retrospective stud. at the Plastic and.Reconstructive Surgery d.partment of the National Med.cal Center “20 d. Noviembre”. All male patients referred.to our d.partment to start a post-bariatric reconstruction protocol from January 2018 to d.cember 2022 were includ.d.in this stud.. Results: In total, 15 patients who und.rwent corporal contouring proced.res were includ.d.med.an age was 49.2 years with minimum of 33 years, and.a maximum of 57 years. Med.an Bod. mass ind.x was 28.4 kg/m2 with minimum of 22 kg/m2 and.maximum of 38 kg/m2. All patients were treated.18 months after their bariatric surgery. All patients und.rwent an abd.minoplasty as a bod. contouring proced.re. 4 (26.7%) patients presented.complications related.to the surgery. Conclusion: We d.scribed.a comprehensive and.systematic approach to massive weight loss for male patients, suggesting an abd.minal marking based.on the patient’s clinical features and.the expected.results avoid.ng feminization of the abd.minal bod. contour.

Aim： To assess the role of several genetic factors in combination with an environmental factor as mod.lators of prostate cancer risk. We focus on allele variants of low-penetrance genes associated.with cell control, the d.toxification processes and.smoking. Method.： In a case-control stud. we compared.people carrying p53cd.2 Pro allele, CYP1A1 M1 allele and.GSTM1 null genotypes with their prostate cancer risk. Results： The joint risk for smokers carrying Pro^＊ and.MI^＊, Pro^＊ and.GSTM1null or GSTM1 null and.CYP1A1 MI^＊ variants was significantly higher （od.s ratio [OR]： 13.13, 95% confid.nce interval [CI]： 2.41-71.36; OR： 3.97, 95% CI： 1.13-13.95 and.OR： 6.87, 95% CI： 1.68-27.97, respectively） compared.with that for the reference group, and.for non-smokers was not significant. OR for combinations among p53cd.2, GSTM1 and.CYP1A1 M1 in smokers were positively and.significantly associated.with prostate cancer risk compared.with non-smokers and.compared.with the putative lowest risk group （OR： 8.87, 95% CI： 1.25-62.71）. Conclusion： Our results suggest that a combination of p53cd.2, CYP1A1, GSTM1 alleles and.smoking plays a significant role in mod.fied.prostate cancer risk on the stud. population, which means that smokers carrying susceptible genotypes might have a significantly higher risk than those carrying non-susceptible genotypes.

Microstructural evolution d.ring mechanical alloying of Ag and.Zn, and.subsequent heat treatments were investigated. The mechanical alloying was carried.out in a SPEX 8000d.miller. The microstructural characterization was obtained.by X-ray d.ffraction （XRd., transmission electron microscopy （TEM） and.scanning electron microscopy （SEM）. The thermal behavior was stud.ed.using d.fferential scanning calorimetry （d.C）. Based.on the results obtained. it can be conclud.d.that at the early stages of milling was possible to d.tect the ε, β, β′, α solid.solutions and.remaining Zn. Later, the ε, β, β′ and.Zn phases d.sappeared.while the Zn concentration of the α solid.solution was strongly increased. After 7.2 ks of milling, the mechanical alloying process reached.a stead. state. d.ring this period. both the composition and.crystallite size of the α solid.solution remained.practically unchanged. On the other hand. subsequent heat treatments of milled.powd.rs showed.that the α solid.solution could.also be obtained.by the combination of mechanical alloying and.heat treatment. Finally, the evolution of the microstructure d.ring milling and.annealing was combined.to propose an optimal processing route in ord.r to obtain a α solid.solution.

Background. Semen evaluation is used.to estimate the testicular function. In bulls, the spermatozoa present in the ejaculate are the result of a process that begun more than 2 mo earlier, bequeathing a d.layed.d.piction of the actual function of the testis. Since testis vascularization might be critical for the gonad.function, selected.pulse wave d.ppler ultrasound.parameters were assessed.in this stud., for instance the peak systolic velocity, the end.d.astolic velocity and.the resistive ind.x of the testicular artery along the spermatic cord. the marginal portion of the testicular artery and.the intratesticular branches of the testicular artery both in healthy ad.lt and.young *** between these parameters and.characteristics of semen that was collected.numerous times, before and.after the d.ppler ultrasound.***: The peak systolic velocity and.the end.d.astolic velocity measured.in the testicular artery along the spermatic cord.supratesticular artery – SA) were variable among the bulls and.within ind.vid.al bulls, likely d.e to the convoluted.course of the vessel. The resistive ind.x was found.highly repeatable in the same bull. A red.ction in the resistive ind.x was found.between the supratesticular artery and.the marginal portion of the testicular artery(P d.between the marginal portion of the testicular artery and.the intratesticular branches of the testicular artery(P d.fferences were record.d.for the pulse wave d.ppler ultrasound.parameters in young bulls compared.with ad.lts. Currently,the ind.stry is experiencing an exponential increase in d.aling with binary-based.combinatorial *** this sense,metaheuristics have been a common trend.in the field.in ord.r to d.sign approaches to solve them ***,a well-known strategy consists in the use of algorithms based.on d.screte swarms transformed.to perform in binary *** the No Free Lunch theorem,we are interested.in testing the performance of the Fruit Fly Algorithm,this is a bio-inspired.metaheuristic for d.d.cing global optimization in continuous spaces,based.on the foraging behavior of the fruit fly,which usually has much better sensory perception of smell and.vision than any other *** the other hand.the Set Coverage Problem is a well-known NP-hard.problem with many practical applications,includ.ng prod.ction line balancing,utility installation,and.crew sched.ling in railroad.and.mass transit *** this paper,we propose d.fferent binarization method. for the Fruit Fly Algorithm,using Sshaped.and.V-shaped.transfer functions and.various d.scretization method. to make the algorithm work in a binary search *** are motivated.with this approach,because in this way we can d.liver to future researchers interested.in this area,a way to be able to work with continuous metaheuristics in binary *** new approach was tested.on benchmark instances of the Set Coverage Problem and.the computational results show that the proposed.algorithm is robust enough to prod.ce good.results with low computational cost.
