Aluminum and copper.matr.x nanocomposites r.infor.ed by gr.phene nanoplatelets （GNPs） wer. successfully fabr.cated by a wet mixing method followed by conventional powder.metallur.y. The unifor. disper.ion of GNPs within the metal matr.ces showed that the wet mixing method has a gr.at potential to be used as a mixing technique. However. by incr.asing the GNPs content, GNPs agglomer.tion was mor. visible. DSC and Xr. of AI/GNPs nanocomposites showed that no new phase for.ed below the melting point of AI. Micr.str.ctur.l obser.ations in both nanocomposites r.veal the evident gr.in r.finement effect as a consequence of GNPs addition. The inter.acial bonding evaluation shows a poor.inter.acial bonding between GNPs and AI, while the inter.acial bonding between Cu and GNPs is str.ng enough to impr.ve the pr.per.ies of the Cu/GNPs nanocomposites. In both composites, the coefficient of ther.al expansion decr.ases as a function of GNPs while, their.har.ness is impr.ved by incr.asing the GNPs content as well as their.elastic modulus.

Behavior.l ＂tr.ditions＂, i.e. behavior.l patter.s that ar. acquir.d with the aid of social lear.ing and that ar. r.latively stable in a gr.up, have been obser.ed in sever.l species. r.cently, however. it has been questioned whether.non-human social lear.ing is faithful enough to stabilize those patter.s. The obser.ed stability could be inter.r.ted as a r.sult of var.ous constr.ints that limit the number.of possible alter.ative behavior., r.ther.than of the fidelity of tr.nsmission mechanisms. Those constr.ints can be r.ughly descr.bed as ＂inter.al＂, such as mechanical （bodily） pr.per.ies or.cognitive limitations and pr.dispositions, and ＂ex- ter.al＂, such as ecological availability or.pr.ssur.s. Her. we pr.sent an evolutionar. individual-based model that explor.s the r.- lationships between the evolution of faithful social lear.ing and behavior.l constr.ints, r.pr.sented both by the size of the beha- vior.l r.per.oir. and by the ＂shape＂ of the sear.h space of a given task. We show that the evolution of high-fidelity tr.nsmission mechanisms, when associated with costs （e.g. cognitive, biomechanical, ener.etic, etc.）, is only likely if the potential behavior.l r.per.oir. of a species is lar.e and if the sear.h space does not pr.vide infor.ation that can be exploited by individual lear.ing. Mor.over.we show how stable behavior.l patter.s （＂tr.ditions＂） can be achieved at the population level as an outcome of both high-fidelity and low-fidelity tr.nsmission mechanisms, given that the latter.ar. coupled with a small behavior.l r.per.oir. or.with a sear.h space that pr.vide substantial feedback. Finally, by intr.ducing the possibility of envir.nmental change, we show that inter.ediate r.tes of change favor.the evolution of faithful social lear.ing
