In recent years,water for agricultural production gradually became a significant challenge in the context of climate change in *** solutions are required,which consider the use of resources for both human needs and ecology,and that account for the equitable distribution and the livelihood of the farmers now and in the *** particular,the farmers in the province of Quang Nam faring water shortage in the cultivation of paddy in the summer-autumn *** arise regarding the sharing of the water between the farmers,the drinking water company and the hydropower *** the context of climate change,the water shortage is expected to increase in the *** article presents the results of participatory action research (PAR) approach to develop a local level mechanism for water sharing,in which stakeholders actively *** sharing mechanism was developed,envisioning a sustainable solution for inclusive water *** mechanism was successfully implemented in two cases,one at commune level (Tho stream) and one at the district level (Mo stream).The participatory approach proved to be successful in setting up a broadly acceptable mechanism that will need to be further incorporated in the institutional set-up.

Time series forecasting research area mainly focuses on developing effective forecasting models toimprove prediction accuracy. An ensemble model composed of autoregressive integrated movingaverage （ARIMA）, artificial neural network （ANN）, restricted Boltzmann machines （RBM）, anddiscrete wavelet transform （DWT） is presented in this paper. In the proposed model, DWT firstdecomposes time series into approximation and detail. Then Khashei and Bijari＇s model, which is anensemble model of ARIMA and ANN, is applied to the approximation and detail to extract their bothlinear and nonlinear components and fit the relationship between the components as a function insteadof additive relationship. Furthermore, RBM is used to perform pre-training for generating initialweights and biases based on inputs feature for ANN. Finally, the forecasted approximation and detailare combined to obtain final forecasting. The forecasting capability of the proposed model is testedwith three well-known time series： sunspot, Canadian lynx, exchange rate time series. The predictionperformance is compared to the other six forecasting models. The results indicate that the proposedmodel gives the best performance in all three data sets and all three measures （i.e. MSE, MAE andMAPE）.

Recent advances in our understanding of avian chemical communication have highlighted the importance of olfaction in many aspects of avian *** studies investigating predator avoidance behaviors in response to predator odor cues have produced mixed results across species and *** we assess if a community of birds in eastern Pennsylvania displays avoidance behaviors towards predator odor cues in a natural foraging *** use clay caterpillars to measure foraging activity by birds in the presence of predator(bobcat)urine,non-predator(rabbit)urine,and water controls in two different environmental contexts(field ***).Although we detected a weak trend for birds to forage less at predator urine-treated sites,we found no significant difference in avian foraging between the site *** did find that foraging rates between environmental contexts changed significantly over the course of the experiment,with forest sites showing decreasing foraging rates and field sites showing increasing foraging *** results reinforce the published literature that avoidance of predator odors by birds may not be ubiquitous across contexts and species.

It is critically important for companies to screen new product projects before they are launched to the market. So far, many approaches have been developed for tackling the process of screening product innovations. Due to uncertain, vague and incomplete information as well as dynamically complex process regarding to new product development （NPD）, a fuzzy linguistic approach employed linguistic assessments and the fuzzy-set-based computation is reasonable for screening new products. However, such a fuzzy linguistic approach faces with various defects and limitations, such as loss of information, failing in considering the aspects related to human nature on uncertain subjective judgments etc. These defects and limitations lead to a dilemma, i.e., it＇s very difficult to screen new product projects reasonably and precisely. In this paper, we propose a notion of proportional 3-tuple to represent a linguistic assessment and related ignoring information, and a preference-preserving proportional 3-tuple transformation for the unification of linguistic assessments represented by proportional 3-tuples between two different linguistic term sets. On this basis, a proportional 3-tuple fuzzy linguistic representation model for screening new product projects is developed. It is shown that the proposed model is flexible to handle uncertain, vague and incomplete information related to screening new product projects. It not only allows evaluators to express their subjective judgments with different confidence levels, but is also able to deal with incomplete linguistic assessments. Ultimately, the proposed model also improves the precision and reasonability of the screening result.

Changes of the blood vessels and collagen are associated with the development of abnormal cervical ***,optical coberence tomography and Mueller polarization images were 1used to provide information regarding the presence of collagen fibers in the cervical ***,most of these methods need a lot of time for image recording and are *** addition,the general survey on the absorption and distribution characteristics of collagen and blood in the cervical is still *** this study,we developed a colposcopy combining cross-polarized inage and image procssing algorithm with an fficient analytical model to map the distribution of blood and collagen in the *** this system's proof of concept,we captured and processed the case of cervical ectopy and Nabothian *** results show that the distribution of blood and collagen maps matched with anatomical and physiological when compared with Lugol's iodline *** technology has some advantages,such as low cost,real time,and can replace the 11se of acetic acid or Lugol's iodine in the future.

User profiles representing users’preferences and interests play an important role in many applications of personalized *** the rapid growth of social platforms,there is a critical need for efficient solutions to learn user profiles from the information they shared on social platforms so as to improve the quality of recommendation *** problem of user profile learning is significantly challenging due to difficulty in handling data from multiple sources,in different formats and often associated with *** this paper,we introduce an integrated approach that combines advanced Machine Learning techniques with evidential reasoning based on Dempster-Shafer theory of evidence for user profiling and *** developed methods for user profile learning and multi-criteria collaborative filtering are demonstrated with experimental results and analysis that show the effectiveness and practicality of the integrated approach.A proposal for extending multi-criteria recommendation systems by incorporating user profiles learned from different sources of data into the recommendation process so as to provide better recommendation capabilities is also highlighted.

A facile approach was demonstrated for fabricating high-performance nonvolatile memory devices based on ferroelectric-gate field effect transistors using a p-type Si nanowire coated with omega-shaped gate organic ferroelectric poly(vinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene)(P(VDF-Tr FE)). We overcame the interfacial layer problem by incorporating P(VDF-Tr FE) as a ferroelectric gate using a low-temperature fabrication process. Our memory devices exhibited excellent memory characteristics with a low programming voltage of ±5 V, a large modulation in channel conductance between ON and OFF states exceeding 105, a long retention time greater than 3 9 104 s, and a high endurance of over 105 programming cycles while maintaining an ION/IOFFratio higher than 102.

Objective:To assess the knowledge and attitude toward coronavirus disease-2019(COVID-19)among healthcare workers at District 2 Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City(HCMC).Methods:A cross-sectional study was performed between January 2020 and February 2020 at District 2 Hospital.A systematic random sampling strategy was carried out and the data was collected through a self-administered questionnaire of the knowledge and attitude of healthcare workers regarding *** analysis was reported to describe the demographic,mean knowledge and attitude score of healthcare *** statistics including t-test,ANOVA and Spearman’s correlation were used to evaluate the relationship between study ***:A total of 327 eligible healthcare workers had a mean score of knowledge and attitude of 8.17±1.3(range 4-10)and 1.86±0.43(range 1-5),*** showed good knowledge and a positive ***,approximately two thirds of the participants knew the mode of transmission,the isolation period and treatment(67.0%,65.8%,and 58.4%,respectively),and 82.3%and 79.8%,respectively,held positive attitude regarding the risk of personal and family members getting *** was a negative correlation between knowledge scores and attitude scores(r=-0.21,P<0.001).Additionally,healthcare workerspredominately used social media to inform themselves about COVID-19(91.1%).Conclusions:The majority of healthcare workers had good knowledge and positive attitude toward ***,the level of some knowledge and attitude lower than that expected for their position level towards the *** education interventions and campaigns are required for healthcare workers.

The human visual sensitivity to the flickering light has been under investigation for *** finding of research in this area can contribute to the understanding of human visual system mechanism and visual disorders,and establishing diagnosis and treatment of *** aim of this study is to investigate the ffects of the flickering light to the visual cortex by monitoring the hemodynamic responses of the brain with the functional near infrared spectrosoopy(ENIRS)*** the acquired fNIRS signals are afected by physiological factors and measurement artifacts,constrained independent component analysis(eICA)was applied to extract the actual fNIRS responses from the obtained *** experimental results revealed significant changes(p<0.0001)of the hemodynamic responses of the visual *** the baseline when the flickering stimulation was *** the uses of cICA,the contrast to noise ratio(CNR),reflecting the contrast of hemodynamic concentration between rest and task,became *** indicated the improvement of the NIRS signals when the noise was *** subsequent studies,statistical analysis was used to infer the correlation between the NIRS signals and the visual *** found that there was a slight decrease of the oxygenated hemoglobin con-centration(about 5.69%)over four frequencies when the modulation ***,the variations of oxy and deoxy-hemoglobin were not statistically significant.

Most of the earlier work on clustering mainly focused on numeric data whoseinherent geometric properties can be exploited to naturally define distance functions between datapoints. However, data mining applications frequently involve many datasets that also consists ofmixed numeric and categorical attributes. In this paper we present a clustering algorithm which isbased on the k-means algorithm. The algorithm clusters objects with numeric and categoricalattributes in a way similar to k-means. The object similarity measure is derived from both numericand categorical attributes. When applied to numeric data, the algorithm is identical to the *** main result of this paper is to provide a method to update the 'cluster centers' of clusteringobjects described by mixed numeric and categorical attributes in the clustering process to minimizethe clustering cost function. The clustering performance of the algorithm is demonstrated with thetwo well known data sets, namely credit approval and abalone databases.
