The Association of Southeast Asian Nations is blessed with agricultural resources,and with the growing population,it will continue to prosper,which follows the abundance of agricultural *** biomass attracted researchers’interest in extracting bio-oil from these ***,the resulting bio-oil has low heating values and undesirable physical ***,co-pyrolysis with plastic or polymer wastes is adopted to improve the yield and quality of the ***,with the spread of the novel coronavirus,the surge of single-use plastic waste such as disposable medical face mask,can potentially set back the previous plastic waste reduction ***,studies of existing technologies and techniques are referred in exploring the potential of disposable medical face mask waste as a candidate for co-pyrolysis with *** parameters,utilisation of catalysts and technologies are key factors in improving and optimising the process to achieve commercial standard of liquid *** copyrolysis involves a series of complex mechanisms,which cannot be explained using simple iso-conversional ***,advanced conversional models are introduced,followed by the evolutionary models and predictive models,which can solve the non-linear catalytic copyrolysis reaction *** outlook and challenges for the topic are discussed in detail.

Cultivation of microalgae for biodiesel production:A review on upstream and downstream processing

Fluctuating market price of fossil fuel and overwhelming emission of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere have resulted in climate change and have been a global concern in this decade. Hence, biodiesel has become an alternative option to fossil diesel as it is renewable and environmentally friendly. Nevertheless, this alternative fuel that is usually derived from terrestrial oil crops will cause shortage in food supply and deforestation if mass production is realized. In recent years, cultivation of aquatic microorganism(particularly microalgae) to produce biodiesel is considered as a practical solution due to their high growth rate and ability to synthesize large quantity of lipid within their cell. However, the development of energy and cost-efficiency of microalgae cultivation system are the main issues in producing renewable microalgae biodiesel. Of late, wastewater or organic compost has been used as the cultivation medium as it can provide sufficient nutrients to sustain microalgae *** cultivation method and system are vitally important as these factors undoubtedly affect the final microalgae biomass and lipid yield. In this review, the cultivation system of microalgae, nutrients demanded for microalgae production, cell harvesting and drying, microalgae oil extraction, and utilization of microalgae biomass for biodiesel production are introduced and discussed. It is anticipated to convey clearer perspectives in upstream and downstream processes in microalgae-derived biodiesel production.

Hydrogen(H_(2))is a promising renewable energy which finds wide applications as the world gears toward low-carbon ***,current H_(2) production via steam methane reforming of natural gas or gasification of coal are laden with high CO_(2) ***,methane(CH_(4))pyrolysis has emerged as a potential technology to generate low-carbon H_(2) and solid *** this review,the current state-of-art and recent progress of H_(2) production from CH_(4) pyrolysis are reviewed in *** such as funda-mental mechanism and chemistry involved,effect of process parameters on the conversion efficiency and reaction kinetics for various reaction media and catalysts are elucidated and critically ***-ature,among other factors,plays the most critical influence on the methane pyrolysis *** metal/salt could lower the operating temperature of methane pyrolysis tolasma technology usually operates in the regime of>1000℃.Based on the reaction kinetics,metal-based cata-lysts were more efficient in lowering the activation energy of the reaction to 29.5-88 kJ/mol from that of uncatalyzed reaction(147-420.7 kJ/mol).Besides,the current techno-economic performance of the pro-cess reveals that the levelized cost of H_(2) is directly influenced by the sales price of carbon(by-product)generated,which could offset the overall ***,the main challenges of reactor design for efficient product separation and retrieval,as well as catalyst deactivation/poisoning need to be debottlenecked.

Surface diffusivity of atomic deuterium on Ni_3(Al, Ti)(110) surface with and without boron

The electron stimulated desorption was used to measure the surface diffusivity of atomic deuterium on clean and boron modified Ni 3(Al, Ti)(110) surfaces. Boron dosing was performed using a solid state boron ion source. Earlier studies showed that boron dissociates water readily at temperatures as low as 130?K and that the resulting atomic hydrogen is bound to the surface strongly. The surface diffusion coefficient of atomic D on 0.05 monolayer boron modified surface was measured to be about 10 times smaller than that on the clean surface. This slower diffusion of atomic hydrogen may explain why boron improves the ductility of polycrystalline Ni 3Al in moist environments.

Effect of Thermal Refining on Mechanical Properties of Annealed SAE 4130 by Multilayer GTAW

During the first welding process in manufacturing a precise seam container, the steel material must first undergo a full annealing treatment. Multilayer welding operations are conducted and then applied with refining treatment to obtain the goal by hardening. The influence of thermal refining on mechanical properties of annealed SAE 4130 by multilayer GTAW （gas tungsten arc welding） was discussed. The AW （annealing＋welding） and AWST （annealing＋welding＋solution＋tempering） occurred with a minimum hardness value at GGHAZ （grain growth heat affected zone） due to coarse grain growth~ the hardness occurred with sudden drops between the multilayer welding, but was still larger than the minimum value at HAZ （heat affected zone）. The welded joint efficiency of the AWST was 89.9%, with the elongation reduced to 77.2% of AST （annealing＋solution＋tempering）. The cross section of the tensile samples both appeared with a uniform dimple-shaped structure, and however the necking for AST was greater than that for AWST. The impact value for AWST was 166.5% of AST. Moreover, from microstructure observations, it was found that AWST had a greater tendency to ductile failure than AST. These results can be inferred., the process of steady pressure and the initial position of the precision tube breakage HAZ. However, when stress occurs instantly, HAZ can absorb more energy, therefore the initial damage does not occur.

This study demonstrates the influence of the Ag^(+)/PO_(4)^(3-)ratio in precursor solution on the crystal structural formation,morphology,physical properties,and photocatalytic performance of a Ag_(3)PO_(4)photocatalyst that is fabricated,using a facile precipitation method,from AgNO_(3)and Na2HPO_(4)·12H_(2)*** material characterizations were carried out using x-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy(EDX),Brunauer–Emmett–Teller(BET)surface area,Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)absorption,Raman scattering,x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),UV-vis absorption,and photoluminescence(Pl).The results show that Ag_(3)PO_(4)crystallizes better when the excess PO_(4)^(3-)content increases,and the lattice parameters decrease slightly,while the crystal diameter and the particle size *** change is also observed in the Raman scattering and FTIR spectra with the increase in the vibration frequency of the[PO_(4)]*** compression of the[PO_(4)]unit was also confirmed in the XPS spectra with the shift of P 2p peaks toward higher binding *** photocatalytic results showed that the samples synthesized from excess PO_(4)^(3-)solution exhibited higher photocatalytic performance compared to the sample with a Ag^(+)/PO_(4)^(3-)ratio of 3:1.A sample prepared from the precursor solution with a Ag^(+)/PO_(4)^(3-)ratio of 3:1.5 was optimal for RhB decomposition under both visible light and natural sunlight,completely decomposing 10 ppm RhB after 15 minutes of xenon lamp irradiation and after 60 minutes under solar light *** is attributed to the high crystallinity,small particle size and low electron–hole recombination rate of the sample.

A weak form of beyond endoscopic decomposition for the stable trace formula of odd orthogonal groups

We show that the cuspidal component of the stable trace formula of a split special odd orthogonal group over a number field, satisfies a weak form of beyond endoscopic decomposition. We also study the r-stable trace formula, when r is the standard or the second fundamental representation of the dual group, and show that they satisfy a similar kind of beyond endoscopic decomposition. The results are consequences of Arthur's works(2013) on endoscopic classification of automorphic representations, together with known results concerning a class of langlands l-functions for special odd orthogonal groups.

Neoadjuvant treatment for resectable pancreatic adenocarcinoma

Pancreatic adenocarcinoma is the fourth leading cause of cancer mortality in the United States in both men and women, with a 5-year survival rate of less than 5%. Surgical resection remains the only curative treatment, but most patients develop systemic recurrence within 2 years of surgery. Adjuvant treatment with chemotherapy or chemoradiotherapy has been shown to improve overall survival, but the delivery of treatment remains problematic with up to 50% of patients not receiving postoperative treatment. Neoadjuvant therapy can provide benefits of eradication of micrometastasis and improved delivery of intended treatment. We have reviewed the findings from completed neoadjuvant clinical trials, and discussed the ongoing studies. Combinational cytotoxic chemotherapy such as fluorouracil, leucovorin, irinotecan, and oxaliplatin and gemcitabine plus nanoparticle albumin-bound(nab)-paclitaxel, active in the metastatic setting, are being studied in the neoadjuvant setting. In addition, novel targeted agents such as inhibitor of immune checkpoint are incorporated with cytotoxic chemotherapy in early-phase clinical trial. Furthermore we have explored the utility of biomarkers which can personalize treatment and select patients for target-driven therapy to improve treatment outcome. The treatment of resectable pancreatic adenocarcinoma requires multidisciplinary approach and novel strategies including innovative trials to make progress.
